Miirru
Ah pokemon, how I miss playing. I have x but I beat it and have no reason to continue playing, they don't add new content.

It's predicted that they'll be releasing DLC (downloadable content, although you probably knew that) along with the three unreleased Legendaries~ so really, we just have to wait for that...

In the meantime, I'll be playing Fire Emblem: Awakening. IT'S REALLY, REALLY GOOD! emotion_kirakira emotion_drool I highly recommend it, if you haven't played it yet. It's so fantastic...

I'm sorry I didn't know, where were you??? you should ave joined in.

I'm sorry Gaia is being a butt and didn't alert me. mad

Heres some poke news I got a shiny Torchic after soft resetting twice cause I wasn't happy with the nature. I was happy but annoyed afterwards cause I've actually been soft resetting for days on HG for a shiny Totodile.

.-.

I KNOW, RIGHT?

No worries. I would have quoted if I wanted a reply from anyone ASAP, but I felt silly so I left it open-ended.

Ooooo, nice. Is it the one given to you as a starter? I'm guessing yes, because it's a little more involved when hatching eggs. I think you would have mentioned if it was an egg. I've never had the patience to hatch or reset except for anything but natures. ADAMANT? TIMID? GIVE ME SOMETHING GOOD. MODEST? (Or if it's a casual playthrough, I prefer neutral natures.)

Soul Silver is still my favorite version.

I accidentally hatched a shiny Bagon last year. Was only after an egg because I was helping someone complete their pokedex. Then I have two shiny Poliwag because I run into a ton, since I use them for speed EV training. So many Poliwag.

So many tadpoles.

I know how you feel...it can be hard to just jump in. For me anyway and I end up just posting.
Yep its a starter; I was playing emerald and messed up the first game then started over and that happened.
I recently started paying attention to the natures and and making note which pokemon give which evs and I have to say I notice a difference.
Wow after you hatched the first one it was shiny??? Lucky you.>.>
I never hatched a shiny but I have caught a few. 3nodding

Crystal was my favorite and I wish they would ave remade it too.:c

SOUL SILVER all the way~ definitely the best version, due to the fact that your Pokemon walk behind you, you can interact with your Pokemon, the Pokemon Olympics (forget the exact name) is still by far the very best Pokemon game that has been released so far (in my opinion). It was also the very first Pokemon game I ever owned, and set an extremely high standard in terms of not only the game itself but also in reference to post-game content. I mean, you beat the elite four... AND THEN THERE'S ANOTHER REGION TO EXPLORE?

SO GOOD.

Weeeeell ... I don't normally have problems jumping into a conversation. I learned long ago from my time on Gaia that I'm the only one that suffers for being shy.

I just felt funny about it since pokemon was mentioned hooours ago. But that didn't stop me entirely.

Grrrrrats on the shiny Torchic. I don't think I said that. But now what nature is it? Or does that not matter, because ALTERNATE COLORS WHEEEE~

Yeah, EV training makes a huge difference. I've personally vowed not to stress about it in a casual game, but I have bred and trained about over a dozen pokemon now. I want to be able to defeat those set level tournaments like the Battle Subway. I'm terrible at those. My next goal is to do something about the Dream World abilities, but I've always been a year or two behind the 'cutting edge' group. I like going slow at my own pace. I keep missing out on event legendary pokemon though ...

Well, I wasn't trying for a shiny. And considering how many eggs I have hatched in the past for certain natures, my next play-through, or for egg moves, I think it was about damned time one hatched shiny.

I've also caught Pokerus once naturally in game. Now I think that's impressive. Wasn't until way later I learned what it really was about, and now I make sure to keep that around on at least a few pokemon in my PC.

I'll always have hope that they'll remake Ruby/Sapphire. Generation 3 is my least played game, which is really a shame, but now I can't stand the old system where ALL the fire moves are special and ALL the rock moves are physical, for example. I hear about plans now and again about remakes, but I don't look up rumors myself.

HELL YES, SOUL SILVER.

To be honest, I have nothing against Heart Gold, and I would snatch up the HG version in a heartbeat now. (Except now whenever I look for one, they're very expensive. Them used games, ugh, and they almost never include the pokewalker which is one reason the game was more money than usual. Rrrrrip off.)

It's just that I was one of those kids that would get one version, while my brother got the other. I had grabbed Red while he got Blue, so for the second version, he got Gold while I got Silver.

I was seriously disappointed in Black/White that the pokemon didn't follow behind.

But yes, yes, yes to everything you've said. I could go over the negative aspects of HG/SS, but I think the good points far outweigh the bad.

I got on gaia earlier with my phone and I have to say that was pretty annoying. I don't like using the app because it sucks and the browser is kinda hard to use too.:/

Oh your not the only one just saying sometimes I want to jump in but don't not because I'm shy...which I am but because people can be funny sometimes and I take things to heart and easily get offended. yes I'm a big baby. neutral

Thanks lol I'd roast that bird if I thought it help my chances at getting a shiny Totodile. It has a jolly nature, funny thing the one before it was jolly but you can't expect me or anyone for that matter to pass up a shiny. although I wanted one with naive or naughty nature. I thought that would be about right...

I'm no good at the battle tower/battle train either so I don't play around with it too much unless I'm bored but good luck with that. 3nodding

Yeah you were due a shiny and that was the games gift to you. funny tho...when your not even trying bam a shiny but if you were trying it would be a never ending story.:/

same here but on black 2 I haven't got it yet and I went out on a hunt to catch me some pokerus....
sad I realized I was using special attacks and they have to be physical in order to catch it so I'm done trying to catch pokerus for now.

Apparently a lot of people don't like the 3rd gen...I'm kinda shocked by this. Its pretty cool and it brought a lot interesting pokemon out, the secret bases and diving. that was cool...I don't care what anyone says. I too have herd of these rumors and there are hints in the game hinting to a remake. *crosses fingers*

Yeah, that's the same with me too! My younger brother and I would always coordinate which version of the game we would get, and I'd always like Lugia more, so it worked out perfectly.

It's true that all the games have negative aspects about them, but I think that SS/HG was the one game where the pros far outweighed the cons. 3nodding

I've heard so many bad things about the Gaia app, but I don't have a fancy phone to try it on. Not that I would. I already know the pains people go through when using an iPad or similar.

Aw, I hope you get to develop that behavior to help jump the hurdles. The internet is an offensive place. It'll still get my hackles up from time to time.

A ... a jolly shiny Torchic ...

OwO

Well, sure, Blaziken is best utilized as a mixed-attacker to shatter walls, and you sure aren't going to be hitting the uber tiers without the dream world ability, but I'm drooling at the thought anyway. Ah well, chances are you wouldn't trade it, ja? Not that it would be easy anyway. Since Hoenn is game boy advance, and I can't connect to the global trade on SS, (technical difficulties) but a guy can fantasize, yeah?

I've heard some crazy stories about how long people will try for a shiny. There's also a 'legit' method that doesn't produce hacked pokemon, with no use of gameshark or other cheating devices, but it's so complicated and time consuming I just haven't really seriously attempted it. But I have a feeling once I get a hang of it, I'll be racking in the shinies just for fun and as gifts.

Unless they changed the odds in the newer versions, it's easier to find a shiny pokemon than to run across one with pokerus. I can help you with that on Black 2. I can trade up one of my infected and pass it along to you. Not a big deal. Let me know and I'll go grab my DS.

Oh yeah, I love Gen 3 just as any other, but once Diamond/Pearl hit, along with HG/SS, I just couldn't go back to replay it. I've tried, but I don't get very far.

Yeh...jolly. Is that bad?D:

I was planing on trading it up through the game once I beat the elite four. trade? I would for a shiny totodile. I know I'm being ridiculous but you can't blame me for trying.

I think your talking about about chaining. its simple once you get the hang of it(which I have not)...but I get it I haven't had any time to do it cause I don't have pearl/diamond and I can't play X.:c

If you haven't got the thing to aid you with chaining here you go poke radar . maybe you can try your luck out with that.

basically what chaining is you running into the same pokemon and that gives you a better chance at finding a shiny. usually people find a shiny at chain of 40-60 or so I've herd it could take more but you have a better chance at getting a shiny that way.

Thanks for the offer but I'm being lazy right now o 3o

I could replay any of them really but I know what your saying its a little funny but I enjoy going back and playing them. pokemon, dragon quest 8 and skyrim...the three games I could play over and over. 3nodding

There's sadly a lot of features on Gaia that are suffering.

It's the source of a lot of grief for members, especially when it's become so obvious that the staff is focused on the cash shop and chance items.

Jolly is an excellent nature for a lot of pokemon, and one of my favorites. It gives the pokemon a bonus to speed in exchange for taking a hit to special attack. Blaziken learns a lot of good physical moves, especially with that Fighting type. And Blaziken is somewhat slow in the meta game, so the extra speed is very desirable.

Hey, maybe. I'll see what I can do about a shiny Totodile. Besides, it might be fun for me, and I need a reason to get back into playing.

Nah, it's not chaining. I know about the poke radar. I haven't gotten a hang of that feature either, and I don't like how it's limited to only pokemon I can find in the wild. (Unless cheating.) I'm talking about stacking the factors in my favor for hatching eggs or when starting a fight with legendary pokemon. It's called RNG abuse. Or Pseudorandom number generation.

The offer is still there if you change your mind later. I enjoy helping people out with the pokemon games. I only have pokerus because someone else was thoughtful in a trade.

Oooo ... Skyrim.

Oh XD I wanted X, and I didn't really care about the Legendary, so it worked out perfectly for me.

Playing Fire Emblem: Awakening on the 3DS right now... it's literally a mind-blowing, insanely fantastic game. Highly recommend it, if you ever get the chance to buy it. It's amazing.

Yeah they are spending way too much time trying to push the cash shop items. It used to be about the members and now I dunno...and a lot of it has gone up in price too. I don't recall any items going for 50$ wtf Gaia?!

I used to buy cash cards but it isn't fun anymore...it just feels like I'm wasting money. the magic is that used to be there is gone...for me anyway.

Oh lol well that just goes to show how much I know. sweatdrop
I'm still learning, I mean I've been playing pokemon since 02 but then I just played I didn't pay attention to all that stuff and in crystal there wasn't any nature. even if there would have been I wouldn't have pay any attention to it.

For cereal? how would you do it? I would like that a lot, a shiny Totodile.o 3o

Oh I recently heard of that (I was trying to find a way for me to get a shiny Totodile and I came across that) and it has to do with time/ date and the buttons you press. yeah no that pissed me off I don't have the patience for it but more power to you if you can.

okay thanks.^^ I actually traded with a friend cause her pokemon were infected but when I got the pokemon it was no longer contagious and I didn't realize until I went out to get a team infected. .-.

Hopefully the Gaia staff will get things right in the future.

Until then, I keep in mind we're not required to pay for anything to enjoy what free features that exist and that are functional.

Pokemon is fun because it IS complicated, and then yet people don't need to know everything about it to enjoy the game. I'll attempt to use the RNG abuse method again.

Yeah, the pokerus fades after awhile, but if you keep the pokemon in the PC, it won't vanish on its own.
