All Acrucis could do was hope any pray that whatever reasoning Benitoite had for killing in the past was that it was out of necessity and self defense. A childish delusion to help her sleep at night but could his reasons be much different than when Shangri-La killed Sheena's clone or when she had helped both Phact and Sidouer kill her sisters double?
There were so many gray areas that it was becoming clear that there really was no right and wrong that. Each side seemed to believe that they're virtuous and the other must be eliminated. But then there were incidences like at the park where everyone worked together. Where is the line?
Lost in her own internal struggle the Senshi of Prayer lifted her head and looked at the General. "I know you have a good heart which why I believe that you have your reasons for why you do what you do. I just hope..." Her voice trailed off into silence.
Hope, hope for what? That he finds a way to survive or runs away? Hope that he finds alternative means to dealing with someone outside of killing them? All of it or none of it? A soldier returning home from war was often viewed as a hero by the country they represent while those who they fought against see them as murders or terrorists. For someone who claimed neutrality and wanted to help people no matter which side their signature dictated their alignment, there was no black and white.
"I hope you make the morally right choice and that you find a way to stay safe." Acrucis finally decided after the impregnated pause.

Swallowing he nodded his head, not able or wanting to say anything to her statement. He knew he had a good heart but he also knew he did things he didn't like, did things he regretted later, he had done a lot but he also knew he did enjoy killing to a point - he couldn't help it. It was a rush....all of it was a rush and it was thrilling. He didn't kill for no reason and he didn't always throw himself into a fight. But when he did...the thrill and the rush...the excitement and how much he enjoyed it. The words which would pass his lips with such ease. He could never tell her those things or let her see him like that. No, he knew he could never let her see or know that darker side of him - never.
At her next words he nodded his head again. "I will, I have. Don't worry." Petting her hair gently he stood slowly, rising to his feet. "I want you to do whatever you have to in order to survive this war as well." He spoke while offering her a hand up. "Come, it's late and I want to get you someplace warm so you can get home." He didn't wait longer than the finishing of his sentence before he was scooping the other up into his arms and teleporting them to a small alcove near the outdoor ice skating rink, as he knew of the outdoor fireplace near there. He knew when he met this one that she was special in her dedication to neutrality...but for how long could she remain so? How long could she stand on the knifes edge before it cut her? Before she fell off? He hoped the time never came...but was it possible to remain as she was when she had him so close to her? When she was a senshi and with so many of them around her?
"Please...be safe." Nodding once to her he teleported off back to the roof so he could collect the garbage and dispose of it before he'd head home for the evening.
