As soon as he was certain the Chimera was immobile, Jasper tucked and rolled out of the beast's path of decent. Luckily, he picked the right direction to roll, since the dragon's body slammed down where he had just been located, glad to not be Wieva pancake under the paralyzed body. Unfortunately, he rolled a step too far and tumbled off of the path, landing with a soft grunt on the bridge below theirs. "Ow... Falling is no fun..." Jasper muttered, rubbing his sore bottom as he watched the winged man and his dragon assault the defenseless Chimera. He pulled his golden staff from his crystal and leaped back up onto the bridge, his lightning heels giving him the extra boost he needed to make it all the way up. Even though he knew it wouldn't be that effective, he whipped the solid staff down against the beast's side.

Her shield absorbed most of the first blow, but she still sustained some damage from the Artifact leader's cat-boy companion. Then the winged man came swooping in, only daring to strike now, when Kai was immobile and unable to attack him. She worked on healing herself immediately, but then the winged man's stupid dragon undid almost all her work. She healed herself again.
Finally, the leader of Artifact came to strike her. She took his blow, glaring malevolently, then with no warning whatsoever, launched a fiery spike of bone right through her scales, on the part of her body closest to where the guild leader was. She might be paralyzed, but that didn't mean she was helpless. She would slay the Artifact leader for the glory of Chaos!

Ace had leaped back as soon as he had realized that his attack wouldn't do much against thick bones. He was going for a guerrilla tactic: approaching only to strike before retreating just as quickly. Staying near the dragon shifting...thing was too dangerous and he was growing increasingly tired. His moves had lost their nimbleness and precision now that the situation had grown even more dangerous. Should he make one more mistake, he would be doomed. His other two companions weren't fairing any better though the dragon summon's presence was rather reassuring.
Carefully, he circled around the creature while they attacked while waiting for the perfect opportunity to strike without being barbecued. It came when the Chimera suddenly shot out something of her body with the intentions of impaling Jasper. She could still do that? Nevertheless, she appeared to be distracted so Ace dove in to attempt to gut her again with his dagger.

The spike that shot from the Chimera's side with such speed that Jasper had no time to get out of the way, but luckily the beast's aim was thrown off by the fact that she couldn't move her body. The spike sailed right over the short male's head, taking off a strand of loose hair with the closeness of the projectile. "You can do that?!" he yelped, choosing then to make a good distance between himself and the shifter. He couldn't do enough damage until his mana recovered to keep himself at risk, so there was no point being point blank in front of the beast. The Wieva darted back into the hallway that hid Sasha and the robin, leaving the Nicital and the Winged man to do their thing.
Shadow!Jasper, who had held back as soon as the real Jasper didn't need a diversion, stared into the distance before his feet began to fizzle out. He squinted into the dim light as something moved, only to start as an entire area of the lights snuffed out. He tried to make a motion to alert the real Jasper, but as he raised his arms to wave them, the last of the lightning holding him together fizzled out, leaving nothing of the shadow. One of the nearby statues stood solemnly over the scene, it's emotionless face adopting the reddish glow of its fallen comrade.

Their assault on the creature didn't seem to do much good. It just kept regenerating it's wounds, not matter how many times, they sliced, pierced, or burned it's flesh. "You can't keep this up forever." he growled. Raz wasn't sure if he could take another hit from the beast, so he had to focus on healing himself for now. He called his reserves of mana to fill his soul with the vigor it needed to close his wounds.
From his safe position in the air above the battle, Raz could safely observe and strategize. He over looked the battlefield and noticed something something peculiar. The statues situated around the chasm were emitting a faint red glow, but only some of them. He watched and saw the lights slowly go out down the spiral, deep into the pit below them. What was it, some sort of count down. he quickly counted the number of lights remaining. Only eight lights sill glowed, but Raz wasn't sure how rapidly they were being extinguished.
While Raz was watching the lights, his dragon was still down in the fight. It led out a frustrated roar and slashed at the shapeshifing creature with it's ferocious claws.

The moment Kai's muscles finally unlocked from their painful paralysis, she burst into motion. With a scream of effort, she threw her body into overdrive, feeling her muscles tear from the strain as she made herself move far, far faster than her body was equipped to handle. She didn't care. Too much time had already been wasted, lying about like a helpless sack of meat.
Blurring out of the way of the cat-boy's attack, she lashed out at him with one shining silver claw, while the other plunged beneath her scales to pluck out one of her potions. She flicked off its top and downed it in a single, smooth motion, feeling her magic begin to return to her, and simultaneously jumped over the white dragon's slash, wings pumping furiously to lift her into the air as her barbed tail lashed out to smash into the other dragon's skull.
She swooped directly at the winged man then, fangs bared and eyes glowing crimson with malevolent hate, but at the last second, turned aside from him, curving sharply and lashing at him and his barrier with a jagged, scythe-like wing as she plunged for her true goal, the hallway which she'd seen the Artifact leader scurry into. She roared, flesh and scales squeezing with unsettlingly boneless grace into the narrow opening, and snapped her head forward, neck extending impossibly, with her jaws open wide to snap up the little dream-ghost.

Aced danced out of the way just in time to avoid a single deadly claw that would have lopped his head off. He took a dive to hide underneath a stray arch to shield himself from debris and stray spells that illuminated the dark pit every now and then.
When he poked his head out of his hiding spot, it was to see the monstrous beast pounce at Jasper. Ace didn't think at all and made a split second decision. He threw his dagger at the beast to make up for the distance between them. At that moment, he was reminded of a weight in his pouch. Reaching back, he took out an old parchment he had gotten his hands on and promptly unrolled it only to have a torrent of sand gush out of the paper and shoot towards the Chimera.
He took a second to observe the situation. The scroll he had used was flashy enough to be a distraction. Maybe he could top it with something even flashier to buy the wieva some time to escape. Focusing fire in the palms of his hand, Ace sent forward a rippling wave of fire. It didn't do much except be very flashy, but it was the least he could do.

The Chimera erupted into movement so quickly that it hurt Jas' eyes trying to follow the motion. The moment of hesitation caused the Wieva to stumble and fall, leaving him open to the Chimera's ripping teeth, a strangled yelp bubbling out of his throat as mustard-colored blood poured from the gaping wounds. Fortunately, the wave of fire that Ace had sent forward sailed right over his prone figure, leaving him clinging to life. Sasha and the robin came screaming out of the hallway in a flurry of motion, the spirit otter crackling violently with sparks as he stood over the wieva.
The red glow surrounding the chamber intensified suddenly, each row of angels plunging the background into a deeper darkness as the protective spells of the area began to fully take effect.

Raz’s dragon roared with frustration when the shape shifting beast smoothly dodged the swipe from its razor sharp claws. The dragon took to the air to pursue the creature and snapped furiously with its powerful jaws at the creature. The rage-filled attack left the dragon unvigilant, however, and it failed to dodge the spike tail that came crashing down on its draconic skull. Soon after the cracking of bone, the dragon’s body was consumed by white fire leaving only a fine ash in its place.
Raz watched with a tinge of sadness as his dragon burned away. He didn’t let the loss distract him from the task at hand, however. The winged man saw the chimera coming right for him. With a burst from his wings, he gained enough altitude to avoid the creature’s jaws, but didn’t have time to react to the creatures feint and avoid the sharp wing that slashed through his barrier. The shield took most of the damage and shattered into a shower of glass-like shards of light, but Raz still took a significant hit.
He didn’t have time to worry about his own wounds though, Raz had to get to Jasper. He dove from the air and past the formidable beast and grabbed Jasper. Raz rolled further into the hall from the momentum of his dive and engulfed the wieva boy in his soft white wings. “You’re going to be okay, don’t worry.” Raz focused his energy and the two faded from reality into the world of spirits. Raz flapped his wings to carry him aloft once again, moving through the hall celling so he could retreat to a higher room with Jasper.

So quickly had Kai moved by sending her body into overdrive, that she had already smashed at the winged man's barrier and launched her attack at the Artifact leader before she felt the death of the dragon catch up to her. New strength filled her veins, and yet more strength as one of her scythe-like wings significantly damaged the winged man, despite the almost negligible damage that accompanied the shattering of his barrier. Sweetest of all was the health and vigor of the Artifact leader, that she could taste on her tongue as the yellow blood flowed. The scroll of life link that her mistress had given her was a wonderful artifact indeed.
And then things started going wrong. She had grown some eyes on her tail, just to watch her back though her main focus was on the Artifact leader, and thus was able to see and bat aside the cat boy's thrown knife quite easily. Unfortunately, she did not immediately recognize the old parchment he pulled out as a threat, and was thus struck and injured by a torrent of sand. Fire erupted then, only adding to the confusion, and the chamber began glowing red, but Kai's attention was immediately seized as the winged man grabbed the Artifact leader and started to fly away with him. They were turning misty and indistinct, like ghost or wraiths, and Kai roared in frustration as she could almost see the Artifact leader's wounds healing despite being on the verge of death moments before. No! She could not fail her owners!
Taking full advantage of her doubled speed, Kai's long, spiked tail swept once through the cavern, whistling like the shriek of a banshee as it sought the life of the irritating little cat boy, and then swept through the cavern again, but faster, wanting to make sure the little cat-b*****d was properly skinned. She got burned a bit for that, but it didn't matter.
At the same time, she venomously thought 'Life Essence' at the fleeing pair, hoping to forestall any further healing, while simultaneously opening her jaws and launching a fiery spike of bone at them to spear them through. Then, reaching for the last dregs of her magic, newly given to her by the potion that was still working to recover what she'd lost, she focused her internal energy, and launched another flaming bone spear to make properly sure the Artifact leader would die. Just as her owners desired... She could not afford to fail them. Never, ever, ever, even if it cost her her own life...

I think Jasper wasn't healing from your Vigor basically because he was already at full health. I was confused a bit too, until I realised that he wasn't changing his numbers, just the colour of his health points. If Jasper hadn't been at full health, Kai's attack would have already killed him.
His trusty dagger had failed, batted away as though a mere fly circling bovine rear, but not the dusty scroll he had taken out. The wave of sand scraped through the shapeshifter's body, torrents of sand moving at dangerous speed through the spaces between its exoskeleton before vanishing once the magic was used up. However, the creature merely shrugged off the attack, regenerating at tremendous speed. Its body appear to allow it to close up wounds or turn them into openings through which sharp appendages could grow out of.
Ace had ducked by the time his wave of wildfire had reached the dark beast. He was tired, bleeding from a multitude of cuts.Though they were mostly shallow, the amount of injuries were adding up in addition to the whole day's fatigue. He was pretty sure that Jas felt the same. On the other hand, that creature appear to be as energized as ever. As for the winged man that had stepped in to help them...Ace remembered seeing his shield shatter in a rain of light. That did not bode well, but the creature appeared to be distracted so that meant that he was still alive and kickin'. At least enough to have Chaos' latest minion's attention.
With that in mind, the nicatal risked changing spot and leaped behind a damaged statue for cover. He did not take into account that the Chimera could grow eyes at the oddest place and he was quickly spotted. Though he had made it to the sculpture, the strength behind the lashing tail was enough to shatter it and it was only by pure luck that he slipped in his hurry to scramble away, thus, avoiding another lethal blow, but that maneuver had cost him the last of his energy and he could not avoid the next blow that cut through him.
Pain didn't come immediately, instead, he was filled with bitter amusement. Friends had once more landed him in an unpleasant spot,, except this time, there was no escape. He let the momentum of the blow knock him over the edge of the platform he had been on, the parchment he had used slipping from his hand and unfolding in freefall. He was going to die anyway. Might as well get one last spectacular view of the ground rushing towards him though he was sure that there were no glowy drawings when they had first fallen into this hellhole. Well, not that he needed to worry about it.

Jasper gasped as the winged man's spell took effect, reminding him a lot of the spell Raz had used while they were still in Caran that had taken him from the physical plain. Sasha and the Robin huddled on Jas' chest in an attempt to staunch the Wieva's bleeding, but as the man picked up the small being, a pool of light yellow blood remained where he'd fallen.
Out of the corner of his eye, Jas thought he saw Ace falling, but his eyes were so heavy that they were probably just playing tricks on him. The Chimera was still thrashing about, but as the man rose further up into the tombs, her desperation made her attacks far more inaccurate. Sasha, though he could still feel the Wieva's pain, leaped onto Raz's wing, tilting the course of the flight so that the two spikes shooting harmlessly past the Wieva and his Escort. Hopefully, the beast wouldn't be able to get up to follow them, but then again he shouldn't put anything against this creature.
