But Madame, your eyes are really red and that is inexcusable. You can not go walking around with bloodshot eyes. I simply will not allow it. If it is not allergies, then what is it? She was really beginning to wonder how such a woman could ever be a princess. She was having an impossible task forced upon her. There was no way that this girl could be shaped up. She would have to tell the others that she was going to have to abandon everything. Drat, she had to at LEAST give it a full day before she crawled back to them. She heaved a large sigh, her whole body slumping in a depressive manner before she fixed her posture.Well today Madame, I was going to focus on appearances, how you walk and talk to be specific. So I suppose fixing your eyes is the first step in today's lesson. She eyed the girl curiously, wondering what could have caused the redness if it wasn't allergies.

Rosalinna sighed as this one just kept going on and on about her red eyes. She closed her eyes for a few minutes as Val said how it was inexcusable and that she couldn't go out like that. She wasn't going out anywhere she was stuck here so what did it matter if her eyes were bloodshot and red. Her eyes snapped open again and she looked into Val's eyes. "My eyes are red from crying. I woke up this morning to the sound of sobbing and a wet face so I'm sure I was crying for a good portion of the night. That is why my eyes are all red. It's not allergies it is tears that caused this. Now that you know are you happy?" Her voice was soft and sad sounding as she looked into this woman's eyes. There was a sharpness too there and defiance. She frowned and her expression softened when Val slumped and seemed depressed. "Are you ok? What's wrong Val?" She was really worried and stepped closer. But then Val fixed her pasture and was back to all that perfection.
She stared at Val and swished her tail back and forth. Great now time to hear all the things that made her not perfect and that were wrong. This was going to be a fun day. She sighed but nodded. "Fine then let this lesson of yours begin. Fix my eyes or teach me how to fix them." She didn't care just had to get this day over with and then maybe she could relax and not have to worry about so many silly trivial things.

Val sat in shock as the young woman seemed to snap, losing it on her. Even though her voice was soft there was a definite bite to it, and Valkyrie could not do anything but sit in silence while the girl started ranting. Her eyes went wide with sadness, and while she felt bad that her guest was upset, she didn't understand why. She quietly let the girl finish and sat in stunned silence for a moment before breaking the quiet. BUTLER! She yelled down the hall and a young man came running. Please fetch me some hot peppermint tea and eye drops. The butler ran off down the hall and Valkyrie bowed her head in silence for another moment, trying to let her guest gather herself again. Let's begin then. The first lesson is to only call people by their title, or their full name if they allow you to do so. Women shall be called Madame, and men are to be called Mister or preferably, Lord. Is this clear? For example, I am to be called Madame or Madame Vanier. Valkyrie is only for those who I am quite close with, and this "Val" name that you like to call me is unacceptable. She spoke in a soft but stern tone, trying not to upset the girl and further.

Rosalinna saw the shock on Val's face. She watched the woman's reactions to her words. She was surprised that Val just sat there and didn't snap at her or correct something she did. All Val did was sit there. She saw sadness and didn't understand why she saw that. Why would this one care if she was sad or cried. All she was to val was a job so why should Val care about her emotions. she watched and waited to see what Val would do. She stiffened and jumped when the butler was called for. Oh great now what? She sighed to herself and stood there waiting. She was surprised when Val ordered peppermint tea and eye drops. She supposed the eyes drops were for her eyes but what was the tea for? Did Val like tea in the morning? Was it a upper class people thing? She arched a brow as Val spoke about the stupid titles again. Just because someone was born into a high class didn't make them any better than anyone else. And why should she give someone respect like that she didn't even know. What made them deserve the respect? Who they were born to? That seemed so silly.
She listened and heard the stern tone. Sure she understood didn't mean she was going to follow those rules. And she preferred Val over Valkyrie and she preferred that over this madame stuff or even the madame Vanier stuff. So formal and stuffy. Very boring and lonely. But this whole place seemed so lonely and uninviting. It looked like it was trying to be welcoming but it lacked that warmth that made somewhere feel inviting and welcoming. It just seemed pretentious to Rosalinna. She looked at Val and waited for what was next. This was one thing she just wasn't going to learn didn't matter what happened.

The butler promptly showed up with the hot tea and eye drops on a platter. He set them on the table that was just inside the ballroom door and disappeared just as quickly as he entered. Valkyrie grabbed the tea first, bringing it over to Rosalinna. She continued to speak softly. Madame, it is of my understanding that peppermint is an excellent decongestant and can often relieve the headaches caused by crying. Please, drink up and enjoy. We can apply the eye drops after you're done. She then ran and grabbed a couple chairs from the corner of the room, placing them in the center of the room facing each other. Here, take seat. The first portion of our lessons are all oral, so you might as well be comfortable. Now, did you understand my first lesson? She took a seat in one of the chairs and waited for the others response so that lessons could continue.

] Rosalinna heard the butler come running back in the room and watched him. He placed down the things and then left just as quickly. She then looked at Val waiting for the woman to take the tea and drink it. She wasn't shocked when Val took it but when it was brought over to her she was shocked. Why was Val bringing her the tea? She listened to the soft tones and frowned slight but took the tea carefully. She sipped it but there was shock on her face. It was good. But she just couldn't understand what motivated this Val. What was her game with being nice? There had to be a game to all of this. No way Al cared about her or was trying to he nice for a good reason. "Thank you." She continued to sip the peppermint tea it was really good but she wanted to know why Val was doing this what the reason for being nice was. When Val ran to GE te chairs Rosalinna smiled slightly. So odd I see something like that. She sat on the chair and a mischivios thought flitted through her mind at what Val said. But she didn't say it. No reason to. And she was too tired to do something like that. She hummed as she took another sip. "Yes." She did understand didn't mean she would listen to it but yes she had understood.

Valkyrie watched the girl warily. Something was different about her today. She seemed much more solemn and harsh compared to the night before, and it was beginning to put Valkyrie on edge. Good. Then let us practice. Let's say you meet a upper class couple by the names of Daisy and Dominic Saintclaire. What would you address each of them as? Valkyrie unconsciously straightened her back in her chair, moving to the proper sitting form for a lady. She was beginning to realize that if she wanted this stubborn woman to work with her, she was going to have to show her extra kindness, at least at first.

Rosalinna looked at Val and smiled sweetly as she saw the wary look she was getting. Why was this woman giving her a look like that? What was she doing that was so different from yesterday. She sipped the tea and her expression softened a bit but also filled with sadness. She remembered how her mother used to give her a hot drink whenever she cried. Rosalinna continued to drink her tea and it did help with the headache she didn't even realize she had. She looked up and listened to the scenario. Right answer was Madame or Madame Saintclaire and Lord Saintclaire. She sat there for a bit thinking how she wanted to answer. Better to play along for a few moments. And she chuckled when Val sat up straighter and got into the perfect posture. It looked like an unconscious gesture which made it funnier. "Madame and Lord Saintclaire." She spoke softly and looked at Val as she waited for the answer.

Well Then...Very good. That is exactly how you would address them, until they gave you permission to say otherwise. How's that headache coming along? She paused, surprised the girl answered her properly. She was a hard one to predict, bouncing from rebellious to snapping to compliant, and Valkyrie didn't like it. She decided to try to shrug it off but to keep her guard up. On to the next lesson I suppose. As a lady, this "slang" speech is also something that is considered unacceptable. So no words like "gotcha, hella, hang out" and such will be tolerated. Is this Clear?

Rosalinna chuckled as she heard the surprised sounding voice Val used. It was so cute and she had to bite her lip hard so as not to say anything about that. She looked up shocked when Val asked about her headache. "I hadn't even realized I had one until the tea helped makes it go away. So it's a lot better than it was. Thank you for that. It shocked me that you would care." She shrugged as that last bit slipped out of her mouth. She arched her brow when slang was brought up and she frowned. She didn't use words like that but hearing Val say them she couldn't force down the giggles and they bubbled up from her throat. So cute and adorable. "Um I don't think I've ever used words like that so this next lesson seems a bit pointless to me."

Valkyrie wrinkled her nose at the girl's reaction. What kind of jerk did Rosalinna think she was? Madame, I am offended that you would even imply that I do not care about my guests. I would not have taken you in if I did not care at least a little. I am not the cold hearted jerk that it appears you think I am. She sighed deeply, now in a mood that was so awful that she couldn't even look at her guest anymore. Was she really that bad of a person? I can tell that I am nothing but a burden to you right now. Go take the day off in your room and call the butler if you need anything. Lessons are officially canceled.She stormed out of the room, leaving Rose to sit and think about how rude she was being.

Rosalinna looked at Val as she watched the nose wrinkle. What a strange reaction and not very lady like. That was odd. She frowned when Val spoke and tilted her head. What else was she supposed to think when Val said this was just a job. "I never said you were a cold hearted jerk. But you keep saying this is just a job. What else am I supposed to think?" She heard the deep sigh and stilled ready for the lecture. She shook her head as she heard that next bit. No Val wasn't a burden. She watched Val get up and then she ran after the lady. She nuzzled her cheek sweetly and then ran outside. She walked around and looked at all the things that were out in nature. It was easier to be here than inside. Out here things made sense. In there nothing made sense.
