Maebe was a lot more tolerable now that everything was about business, and not... business.

"I don't know who he is. They're cultish, yeah." His face remained stern, silently working through her questions within his mind. "I... I don't know where the bodies are, I never bothered looking. I don't know what Deus was like before now, either."

He huffed, tired. "Is that enough? Can I go?"

"No." She hopped off of the table, bumping hard into his body before pushing him to the side and walking to the door. "Because I need to see the bodies. So you're going to take me."

She unlocked her door, opening it halfway, and lifted her head to look up at him. For someone who was enjoying herself so much earlier, she looked all business now. It wasn't a look she'd been used to, until very, very recently.

She had Taym to thank for her newly granted change of heart.

"Wh---hey!" He grunted when bumped into, staring incredulously at this flipped attitude. "I don't know where they are! And like, what if they got taken down?" Technically he could easily pull up the whereabouts in a computer, but he didn't want to.

"If they got taken down, then we'll come back. Otherwise, you're going to help me find them. You said the beach, right?" She stopped waiting for him to exit her room, and chose to do so first instead. "Well then we're going to the beach. I need to know as much as I can, and - surprise, surprise - my other avenues of information extracting are failing me. So you are my new hope."

Her predatorial grin returned to her face. "Or I can come back in that room, and we can ******** like rabbits on the bed. You get five seconds to choose. 1."

"2."

"Beach? ...but...I----" Crap. He had to help, huh? Otto rubbed his face and sighed. He made a mental note to avoid this girl from here on out.

Her ultimatum made him stare at her like she was on fire until she reached the count of 4. Then he shot out of the room. "FINE fine, geez..." He lead the way to the beach, begrudgingly. "Why are you so obsessed with this?"

As soon as he shot out of the room, her expression melted back into that familiar teasing smile. "That's a good boy." She complimented, slapping him across the a** as he passed. She closed and locked her door, before checking her effects and walking down the hall with him. "Because they almost killed me. And nobody is ******** telling me why. I don't know about you? But I take it personally when someone tries to kill me. I'd like to make sure it doesn't happen again, and that means I need to know information."

She eyed his coat briefly. "You guys are good with that kind of thing, right? Information. So you see," She craned her head just a little too close, resting her chin on his shoulder for a split second while she coo'd at him with thick implication. "I need you, Otto."

Otto flinched, glaring back at Maebe after she slapped his a**. Good lord, she was all sorts of intolerable. Glaring at her didn't seem to make her stop being intolerable, either. Actually, that never seemed to work on anyone. Being Otto was really difficult...

"Hm. You're new aren't you." He replied in a jaded tone, being a little too used to things trying to kill him. He was more angry about the personal things, like certain ladies named Sam almost trying to kill him and then dying instead.

b***h.

He assumed she meant Death guys. Information was supposedly their specialty. Supposedly. Otto tended to feel out of the loop and lost 90% of the time when it came to big questions. Once agin, he used glare when she leaned her head on his shoulder. It was probably ineffective.

"You need to mind the personal space is what you need." He grumbled with a grimace.

"Actually, yes." New definitely covered it. She skipped away, which looked frighteningly natural coming from a girl with her looks, and headed to the exit, bouncing her way through the doors. They closed, but she opened them back up and held them out in gentlemanly manner for him.

"Right this way, my lady." She offered. "It's laughable that you're asking me to mind your personal space, when your tongue has been deep down my throat." Her lips pursed and she made kissing sounds. "How about it, one more for old times sake? I'm a much better kisser in this world, though lips aren't my specialty. You could consider it a thank you for helping me out."

"Knock it off. I have a girlfriend." Otto grumbled in monotone, brushing past her without a second glance, even as she held the door for him. Even if he planned on breaking it off with Eva, he was still technically taken. He hated her and everyone on this island, but it didn't mean he had to go down as a cheater. No, he'd face her head on and honest.

Maebe tried not to look shocked. It would have been rude. So instead, she said- "While it's difficult to believe that there is a girl desperate enough to deal with that attitude of yours, I am not really surprised. And your current relationship status is information better suited to Facebook, not me. I was just offering you a thank you. Don't be gross."

Yes. He was the one being gross, for assuming she placed any kind of importants on things like that. Otto, you so nasty.

"So, beach. Any idea which direction, at least?"

Otto stared at her at first as she prattled on, but sharply looked away. He tried to walk faster, get this over with quickly. He too wondered why Eva had gone out with him to begin with. Maebe's words just made the hurt dig deeper.

"I can't believe you don't know where the ******** beach is." He mumbled irritably, ignoring her babbling from earlier. Avoiding that topic completely.

Maebe tried to play it off smoothly with a scoff and a flip of her hair. "Don't be ridiculous. I know where the beach is. I just meant, which direction on the beach should we be heading." She grumbled something under her breath about men being useless, before striding towards the beach with quickening steps.

"I dunno, Maebe. You seem to think I got a ********' radar for dead bodies." Otto sassed with irritation, his pace becoming faster and faster. He wanted this over with so bad.
PostPosted: Wed Jan 15, 2014 11:30 pm

"I don't know. Do you?" She giggled under her breath, and struggled to catch up to his pace. Even though they were evenly sized, he was making some headway and she had to speedwalk to keep up.

"So what's her name?" The silence was broken again. "Your girlfriend, I mean."

"Eva." He drawled quietly. "We're almost there." He was again trying to avoid talking about her. Or about him. Maebe didn't need to know anything. He was already way behind schedule on his chores.

"Beach is up ahead. If you ask me to lead you 'round the entire island, I sweat to God I'm lettin' you drown in the ocean." And get attacked by lusty sea creatures for good measure.
