He seemed to be a sweetheart, and the accent that the foal spoke with was absolutely adorable! She felt her heart warm toward the little creature. Curse her soft spot for foals!
"Chocolate chips? Sure thing!" Just as quick, she had partially filled the bag with the little drops of chocolate. She placed them on the counter next to the sugar bag and said "Alright, chocolate is a little more expensive than sugar because it's a little tougher to get. But I can give you the sugar for two bits for being just so sweet."
When he mentioned a list, it all became clear. This little one was shopping for someone else, not himself! "What does it say? Or may I look at the list?"

The shopkeeper seemed to give into Treasure's request. He felt bad that she had already agreed and lowered the price without him having done anything yet. "Yo ho ho! May the winds sail ye toward prosperity," he smiled, completely unaware that she may not understand a word that was just said.
He walked towards the counter first, and pulled out two sheets of paper out of his saddlebag. The one that looked like a map was handed over to the mare for her to see, but for the second one, afraid that somephony might understand that they were needed for a special cookies recipe, he pressed down hard with a pen on the items he had gathered so far. The paper became an inky mess, and only two items were left unscratched. "Arr. That one there is a well drawn map for me to follow. Pretty isn't it?" He handed the second sheet of paper over to her. "Eggs and macademma nuts, then I got them all. But.. I need white chocolate chips.. not brown ones," he said blushing at his mistake.

FrostyPeaches You wanna know the hilarious part? I just changed original post on the first page to say regular chocolate chips! lol!
"Oh that's quite alright!" she said, spilling the chocolate chips back into their proper container. Instead she filled a new bag with the same amount of white chocolate chips, tying them up in the same way she did the sugar. Then she looked at the list.
"Macademma? Oh! Yes! Macadamia nuts!" She nodded, walking around Treasure to where the nuts were kept. "Who are you buying for? These ingredients are bound to make something delicious! " Before she could reach the scoop in however, a flash of blue went by and she gasped. One of the foals had made a mad dash for the sprinkles in small jars next to the nuts.
The mare dashed after the foal, shouting for her to get back into the other room this instant.
While the commotion went on in one part of the store, the other foal carefully scooped up the macadamia nuts and put them in a small bag.
"Here ya go mister." he said with a tiny voice, handing the bag to Treasure.
Just then his sister dashed past, and he flashed a mischievous grin before following his sister into the other room. The shopkeeper returned, slightly out of breath to find that the order had been filled.
"OH! How did you..? Oh well, no matter! I'll get those eggs for you and then get you the total!" She bustled toward the cooler, muttering about children and owning a sweet shop.

Blue Eyed Melloon hahah my bad! i goofed up somewhere in the posts. i will read through them to change it to white chocolate chips XD you didn't have to change your post DX was my mistake! i wish this rp would never end ;~; ahaha
The mare was in such a good mood that he didn't dare do anything else and copied what she said. "Macadamia nuts. Not Macademma?" he asked, hearing the nuts for the first time and backed away as she seemed to want to reach over him for something. "They're for this pink mare who sells sweets down the road from here."
Treasure also saw a blur of blue and turned his head to follow it. It was a foal going after a jar of sweets. He understood why Candy would want a shop like that now. The colourful bites were indeed tempting.
A small grin crept out from the corner of his mouth. The other foal went to get the nuts for him while the mother was busy with the first one. "Arrr, thank ye mate," he patted his head and accepted the small bag. Not too long after their encounter, the blue little phony came running by again and disappeared behind the door once more before their mother could catch up to her.
He just stood there holding onto the bag as the mare approached him. "Arr. Got me this while ye were busy running." He saluted her and put it down beside the other bags. "Didn't know ye sold eggs too. Was 'bout to git it from 'nother shop."

FrostyPeaches I know right!? This has been so much fun! And I'm stoked we have been getting so much done every day!
She added the eggs to the pile, and started counting.
"Alright, so I said two or the sugar...and five for the chips..small carton of eggs is three and the nuts makes 15 bits total! Though I did agree to a small discount for buying a bushel of stuff." Her eyes sparkled. "What say we call it good at thirteen bits?"

Blue Eyed Melloon You're the fastest replier. then there is grasshopper. I wish the others were into helping out faster too XD
He admired the spunky foals in being so active and helpful around the shop. "Arrr. How kind. They seem reliable," and he ended the comment with a wink at the mare.
Treasure Hunter stood there and watched the shopkeeper do her count. He wasn't worried about the ingredients but more so about the bits. Carefully he listened to what the total has come to. "Thirteen bits?" he repeated and thought about it. The berries were six bits.. add that to the current thirteen.. that makes nineteen. That seemed like a fair amount for what he had bought. "Say no more. Thirteen bits ye get, missum." He dug his hoof into the saddlebag again and fished out thirteen bits to pay the mare.

The mare took the bits with a smile, placing them in the lock box behind her. "Thank you for coming in!" she said, waving. "I hope you'll come back with another list real soon!"

Candy looked at the clock above her door. If Treasure had found the stores alright, he should be back soon. She looked down at the small pot, mixing it carefully. Sea water...fruit juice....oh goodness, she hoped that it would turn out delicious!FrostyPeaches Some people don't have as much free time as me and grasshopper apparently XD

He waved a hoof at the mare after everything was put inside his saddlebag and stayed in place. The weight made him feel a little uncomfortable but pirates can not be babies. So he dealt with the heavy load and replied "Yarrr. When ingredients are needed again, I will make sure to come find ye again m'lady!"
Treasure Hunter left the store. At last he had bought everything and even managed to save a few extra bits on top of the extra bits Candy had given him at the beginning of his little treasure hunting journey.
He marched on with a puffed out chest, and headed back towards Candy's candy shop.

The errands had made him a bit thirsty and he went and bought himself a gallon of cold lemonade at the shabby stand near the water fountain. He chugged it down quickly and threw the plastic cup into the garbage bin before making his way over to Candy's shop.
Treasure Hunter loosened up the scarf around his neck and pushed the door open once more.

The mare turned when she heard the door open. Little Treasure Hunter had returned, his bags bulging with ingredients. Luckily she had just finished her project, and bounded to the front of the store.
"Welcome back!" she said, grinning wildly. "I hope you didn't have too much trouble getting everything!"

Upon entering Candy's shop again, it smelled somewhat different than before but Treasure Hunter could not figure out what it was. "Candy! I have returned!" he shouted at the mare as he ran up to her with his fully loaded saddlebag.
"Look at all the loot I got ye. With bits to spare too! That makes it extra extra bits!" he grinned and threw the little bag of coins on top of the counter. "It was no trouble at all. I followed every clue on the map."
Treasure Hunter stood really close to Candy and sat down. He wiggled left and right and felt the bulky saddlebag slid off of his back with ease as it landed with a soft 'thud' onto the ground. "I hope the eggs arrrr not cracked."

Candy helped him remove the bags, saying "You got everything! And at a discount? Well that deserves a celebration!" She disappeared into the back kitchen, coming back with a jug and two glasses.
"Now this is my first time making grog." she warned, pouring a tall glass for each of them. "So you'll have to tell me if I did ok. I figured since you did something so nice for me, I'd do something nice right back!" She places the glasses on a table, inviting Treasure to sit. "I also have some shortbread cookies if you'd like some!"FrostyPeaches Ahhhhhhh we are getting close to the endddd! noooooooo!

"Yarrr, me don't know any pirate who doesn't haggle." he responded and watched her disappear into the next room and come out with something frothy and bubbly looking.
His eyes widened at the sight of it. "Grog. Yeh?" He took the glass and sniffed it. Then went on to take a small sip to taste. "Mmm not bad for a first timer making it. I will pass on the cookies and get meself one of those black circles again, if ye don't mind."
Treasure Hunter wiped his mouth and looked around the room. "Candy. let me tell ye a little seeekrit." He seemed to have spotted what he was searching for in her shop and pointed at the little red cinnamon hearts with his hoof. "If you grind a few of these down into powder, and mix 'em into the pot, it will keep 'em pirates wanting more." He lifted the glass higher and drank the grog down as if it was water. "Yours doesn't taste bad at all."
Blue Eyed Melloon What do when it endsss? I really enjoyed this elemental rp. I am definitely making him meet Candy again. Maybe once more in foal stage before he grows up. -wink-

Candy looked back at the bulging bags, and said "I guess it was a god idea to send a pirate out to do the haggling then!"
She too sipped the drink, and not knowing how real grog was supposed to taste, she found the frothy drink enjoyable. And she could always add rum to hers...
The joys of being Old Enough!
Candy leaned forward over her glass, looking to where he was pointing. "Cinnamon?" she asked, tapping her chin with a hoof. "Hmmm, that's an interesting idea. I'll have to give it a shot, and then you can come back and taste test it!" She definitely liked that plan. Treasure Hunter was an interesting foal. All of the pirate kiddos were actually. Perhaps it was knowing what you wanted to do so early in life that gave them a special maturity..
She needed them to visit more often!FrostyPeaches You can always poke me for rp! These two are fun to play!

"Yarr. No one can swindle bits out of me!" he replied proudly.
Treasure Hunter took the crumpled map out of the saddlebag and folded it into a small square before hiding it under his scarf. "Candy. I want to keep this map. As a memento."
He walked toward the area with the black liquorice again and scooped them into a paper bag until it was about to burst. "The next time I appear, I will leave a bottle of Rum with ye.. for the grog.."
After realizing what he'd done, Treasure Hunter poured some of the black stringy circles back out into the bin until he could close the top part of the bag and walked over to the counter to get it weighed. "How much do I owe ye for this?"
Blue Eyed Melloon i probably will come find you and Candy! this rp is srsly ending. ahhhhh.

"You can definitely keep that! Wouldn't want you to forget me!" Candy Dandy laughed. She certainly wouldn't forget him!
She watched him pile in the licorice, then realize he couldn't close the bag. She covered up her smile and coughed to mask a giggle. "Well, just make sure you don't steal it, and get someone older to buy it." Goodness knows, she didn't want him to get in trouble!
She left the table and weighed the bag, noting the weight. She stared at the price a moment, and then said "How much did you save me on the ingredients?" She then remembered that she should get those eggs in the fridge. Ah well. After Treasure left.
