Zell winched once as the Cura spell took effect but as the pain flowed away and was numbed by the spell he felt a small sadness, the wounds had been his proof of failure but now the wounds where either healed completly or would be in afew seconds. He sat up slowly as Delan spoke and then gave the SeeD In-Training a small grin.
"You should be glad you werent out there, it wasent easy and right now isent time to think about all of it." Zell had a uncharaceterist calm to him, the wounds and loss of Garden had made him a tad more serious and he was thinking of ways to maybe, just maybe, reclaim Garden. "We can't just sit here and sulk over are loss ..."
Zell moved over closer to Delan then gave her a small pat on the back before speaking.
"Think you can pull yourself toghter, its not over untill we give up afterall! I think we still got a chance, we just gotta work on it!" Zell said this in a almost happy and exstatic tone, he wouldent let them down this time.

Delan was at a loss for words. Of course she agreed and understood what Zell was saying, but just the fact that she could have helped somewhat got her sick to her stomach. Nevertheless, she gave the SeeD a nod, staring down at the ground.
"We'll have plenty of chances to get Galbadia back for that raid!" Delan confirmed, smiling more to show that she meant it. "Yet for now, we really need to organize ourselves. At the main cave everyone is busy with the injured and mainly keeping everyone calm. I don't think anyone has left on their own to go on a suicide mission to exterminate Galbadia, which is good..."
Twisting her knees up and propping her arms across them, the blue and green-eyed teenager turned to Zell. "But what I don't get is why in the hell would Galbadia invade Garden like that? I thought they were all past seeking power over everything... It doesn't make sense at all." Grinning more, Delan added: "They could just get extremely bored with no war going on anymore. Maybe they just want some excitement in their lives. Selfish bastards, that's what they are!"

-Rinoa crawls from a small cave in the side of the mountain, her clothes as dirty as her face. Tracks of dust turned to mud by tears stripe her cheeks; scrapes and bruises cover her arms and legs. She also sports a few burn scabs from her trek through the fire cavern. Angelo creeps out behind her, sooty and dusty as well. Both are hungry and tired from fear. Rinoa's face, under the dirt, is white. The cold lump in her stomach is a spiky knot of icicles. She should have said something- she should have told someone about her dreams, although she knows that wouldn't have mattered. She wants Squall to be here... she doesn't want to remember the hell she ran through only yesterday with warning from her bond with Ifrit. She looks around the hills, remembering that she heard voices earlier.-

As Zell's strenght returned and his hate for Galbadia with it as he sent a punch to the Cave wall that caused a large wound in the stone. He pulled his fist back and clenched tightly, it was all because of Galbadia's lust for power that alot of bad things happened, everything terrible seemed to have Galbadia's name right next to it.
"Galbadia never changed, there always the same ..." Zell's voice was low and it sounded like he was about ready to punch his way through the Cave wall. He looked over at the SeeD woman and the kids, they had told him before Delan had entered that they would stay with the bigger group so he gave them a nod and the Junior classmen took off running with the SeeD, you had to be fast out there with raiders everywhere.
"We .. should get to the main cave, we can think about all this later, no time now ... not exactly sure how safe this small cave is." Zell moved forward towards the Cave Entrance then turned back to give Delan a thumbs up and a grin, it was time to take off running, just like before.
( Busy ... so ... busy ... sorry if this is really...really...really...realy..er..late >>; )

Pushing herself up as well, Zell's violent action didn't ruffle her any more than the whole situation did. "Maybe we should set up a team to guard the area around the caves? We don't want Galbadia to sweep in on us when we're at our weakest." Smile fading after Zell gave his own smirk, Delan began walking out as well, rubbing her hands together for no reason.
"I think I'm going to take my time heading back there..." she said quietly and softly, looking awkwardly to the Seed. “You can run up ahead if you're feeling better. You don't have to go slowly with me, okay?" It could have been guilt that made her say such weird things, but Delan didn't mind what would happen next, so long as the Galbadians backed off for the time being.
((Heh, it's fine. Don't beat yourself up. ^ ^))

He had retreated up into the mountains long before the attack of Galbadia, for some silence to work on his next book. However, silence was not what he had gotten when the Galbadians had attacked the Garden. he'd been able to see the smoke from his leanto, and it had put him on edge. He'd been pleased, to see so many remaining SeeD and Cadet retreating into the mountains, however, the number was less then what he knew was in Garden. Dammit. Losses must have been bad for either side.
One hand lifted, as he shoved the glasses back up onto his face, and stared off the ranges, in the direction of the Garden. He could probably do some recon work later, don a random grunts uniform, and sneak in unnoticed. He wasn't an expert in espionage, by any means, but he could sneak around. And he knew army protocol. That would save his a**.
Hands reached for the looking glass down at his side, and he extended it, peering towards the Garden, in an attempt to determine how heavily occupied it was.

Headmaster Cid stepped out of the cavern in which most of the survivors had sought refuge, and were now fiercely debating on whether they should flee the island or stay and take the fight back to Galbadia.
He moved over to sit on a rock along the side of the trail, keeping any number of rocky outcroppings between himself and any potential observation points in the Garden.
Both the feuding sides had good points. He knew, however, that the two sides would not come to an agreement on the best course of action. To that extent, it won't be long before the two decide to go their separate ways.

He closed the looking glass, and shoved it back in his pockets, before turning, and making his way back up the trail. The SeeD, and Cadets here, were in trouble. He had brought enough rations with him to last a few days, but just for him. He hadn't really planned on Garden being invaded. They also had a distinct lack of a water supply, unless someone found a stream.
This could be a very bad situation. What was worse, were the arguing between the factions. Not only did they have no rations, and no water, but the SeeD seemed to forget something. While, there was indeed a possibility they could win, they had a limited amount of ammunition, and if anyone's weapon broke, they'd be, in the words of some of the younger SeeD, boned.
His military trained mind had gone over scenario, after scenario, and he sighed. The troops hadn't come looking for him, had they? He made his way up the path, headed towards where Cid was resting.

Cid looked up at the motion of the man approaching, and smiled a bit ruefully.
Quite the situation we've managed to get ourselves into, isn't it, Hiro?

He paused, glancing down towards the man, his hands still shoved in his pockets.
"Something like that, Headmaster. Are you certain it was Colonel Alger, that attacked the Garden? I thought he had more sense then to attack children."
While it sounded like an insult, it was more aimed towards Alger. He knew the capabilities of the SeeD, after all. His voice was kept low as he spoke, shaking his head slightly.
"We have no rations. No source of water. No ammunition. A counterstrike at this time would be impossible..."

He nodded slowly from his perch upon the rock.
Yes, yes, I know. The students chose to destroy our armory to keep the Galbadians from accessing our weapons. This has, unfortunately, left us without a method of acquiring more capability to fight them. We have only what we escaped with.

"I don't think they all quite realize the enormity of this situation. But they will when the younger Cadets start going down from hunger. I'm going to head later to see if I can find a source of water. A cave with a pool, a stream, something. There's bound to be some source of water. "
He sighed, and fingers snaked through blonde hair a moment.
"Alger didn't mention me at all, did he? I want to make certain he doesn't know I'm affiliated with the Garden in any way. I'm a traitor, and there's a price on my head. The last thing he needs is another reason to pursue you all up into the mountains, to get at me."
His head turned back towards the cave where the survivors were arguing bitterly amongst themselves. This situation had no positive ending. No war, truly did. He'd learned that the hard way.
"I have a cellphone, and my laptop. If there's anyone on the outside that I can contact, that could help, just let me know. There's bound to be someone that can give us some kind of aid."

No, he didn't mention you at all. It seems as though his orders were to occupy Garden and eliminate SeeD. Didn't appear to have anything to do with you.
Cid's ears perked up.
Oh, a phone? Can you get signal way out here in the mountains?
As he spoke, he began searching his pockets for a scrap of paper and something to write with. Finally finding them, he scribbled out a number on the paper, before handing it to Hiro.
That's Squall's personal cell phone number. He keeps it on him and turned on at all times. You should be able to contact him, and he can possibly get us supplies from Esthar.

He grasped the paper, and nodded, folding it into his pocket. He'd creep away in a bit, with said paper, and his phone, out of earshot of the others, to see if he could get through to Squall.
"Occupy the Garden? That makes no sense. Unless. Hm. Alger was always a cocky b*****d. We were pretty evenly matched, in rank, and wits. He did a good job of cutting you off from your supplies."
He sighed briefly, before slumping down onto the rock to sit beside the older man.
"Garden is well guarded. However they left a few key points unguarded. I'll blame that on Alger's associates. I'd like to take a few of the quieter, less gung-ho SeeD down into Garden later at some point, to see about getting enough rations to last until Leonhart can get us ample supplies."

Cid nodded.
Very well. I know it hardly needs to be said, but don't forget to bring back any weapons and ammunition you can steal.
