Seeing the others behind her gave the green haired girl a bit of confidence, a smile growing on her face. She chuckled, then laughed a bit louder, before feeling herself leaning to one side. Quickly she returned to her center, and nodded to herself. Good, good...she was getting the hang of this after all.

"Almost there already.." she called quietly, barely pulling away from Shu, but taking it easy. She didn't intend to lose to him, but she needed to pull ahead of him now, or she'd lose her lead.
Jo(shu) himself continued to drive along, having lost a lot of speed trying to not hit the Truck, or any of the cars he almost ran into.
"Damn Saiga.." he grumbled, before starting to drive along again, trying to catch up to her. He didn't want to be subject to her whims like that, but he had to try to regain lost ground...
"Almost at the end already..."

On the bright side, he was probably going to live through this if he was going this slow; on the other hand, he was getting absolutely destroyed. ...The only joy in this left was making overt references to the movie Top Gun. At least Gin was playing along with that...

And the race continued, with some people pulling ahead, and others falling back... the one hosting the race looking a bit off his game today. Well, that was the way races went. She was just here to have fun. And, you know, drive at maximum speed throughout the course. She liked going fast almost as much as she liked her bike.

Well, she was moving at her own pace...seeing Nix and the challenger of the race beside her. She waved and chuckled a bit. It was good to have company. And she didn't feel so bad for being last. Well...they were all three last, so...yay?

He'd screwed himself out of the lead with that last run, and Port Island ended up being the place where he fell behind again. On one hand, Gin wanted to curse himself, and kick himself while he was down for making such an obvious mistake. But he intended to finish this race numero uno, so he wasn't going to get down on himself as they crossed onto the Moonlight Bridge again. The straight away made for a great place for him to employ his speed, and his bike was definitely a high maintenance vehicle, but it also meant it would be that more precise when he needed to push it to the limit. That was his advantage, his edge...and the reason he'd come out on top, no matter what! "Great, he's probably over there saying, 'oh s**t, Maverick and Goose are up here'."

Tezuka Rembrii, Forgetful Junior, And Tatsumaki Kikai, Tech-savvy Senior
And, in a flash, Tezuka remembered just how he'd gotten to be known as the leader of the intermediate course. He'd revved his engine up, and passed by the boy ahead of him, with a grin.
"I'm more than alright now!" Tezuka called with a grin, remembering the sensation of wind against his face, and the roar of the engine beneath him...Oh yes...
This wasn't a sensation he could soon forget.
Tats was honestly surprised at this, distracted enough by the surprise-leader that he stumbled a bit, and had to stop to make sure he didn't hit any cars. They'd made their way back to the bridge, and the race was half over. Plenty of time for one of them to pull ahead, and for gaps to be made.
Blanc, keep me safe. he thought, holding up the flash drive again, as he leaned back into his bike, raring to keep in this race. He turned as the silverette came up beside him again, and he waved.
"Don't worry about the race." he called, easily. "Just..Relax and enjoy the ride, okay?"
