He didn't know what that grin meant and only turned his head in puzzlement. "Usually. They take members in their herd to grow and have more protection and work. The lead provides and protects and will mate with those in his herd if they are willing. The members in their herd can also mate or choose not to, but if they do mate, they have to mate with the Lead once before being with others to make more scarlings to help build our race and the herd."

He sighed. "Only kelpies really get it. I can't really enforce too much on everyone. Christof wants Amrita. Barth want you. Mal is taken and hates me. Amrita..." His heart twisted. "Is confused." He left it at that.

"All I can do is be there and protect then unless they want me." Which they didn't, and despite his energies and transformation, his looks didn't get any attention. He was a very poor excuse for a kelpie, but at least he didn't have a clan anymore to be embarrassed by him.

"I don't even really have any monster friends. Just undead a and demons." He said in a tired fashion.

Zar's tail flicked in irritation as Calder replied to him honestly but completely missing the point in what he'd been after with his comment. "Your life sounds confusing." he added to the list of interlocked relationships. "Though, I cannot imagine why they wouldn't want you." he let his gaze linger a little too long at hoof level. His pupils slitted. "There aren't many boils around who look the way you do."

He let his attention drift upwards again. "You seem to retain your monstrous nature despite it all. That wildness." He eyed his claws thoughtfully. "But if you don't act like a lead, no one will follow."

Calder finally picked up on what Zar was saying, thanks to the very subtle looking and hints. Lost in his own thoughts, he didn't think Zar would consider him considering Barth had seemed to just say Zar would be a potential partner for him as just a way to excuse his behavior. It was flattering, but he felt Zar was just having fun considering who and what he was, and not very serious. Maybe he was just buttering him up to keep him pleased and let him be more okay with him and Barth despite Calder saying it was ok.

"I don't think people appreciate wild. I'm not a buff dragon or a rich reaper. Not really making my species proud." As much as he hated to admit to an incubi that he told he was sexier than. Why didn't it even matter pretending? No one was giving a damn anyways.

To add to this, Zar poked at him not acting line a Lead, and he started to feel defensive again. "So? You some sort of expert now? I didn't get a handbook on this and my Lead was an a*****e so didn't have much I a role model." But his old lead had been popular and the clan did love him. "Can't really ask either since I left them."

Zar gave Calder an odd look, as if he'd just said he was actually a human or something equally as mad. "People most certainly appreciate wild. I know I do. It is exotic, it represents a disregard for control which is enviable. One does not need to be a musclebound idiot to be an untamed proud creature. There is nothing about you which would imply you do anything other than well in the eyes of your species."

There was a certain layer of cold predatory keeness in his tone as he replied to Calder once again putting himself down. "I am no expert on herd dynamics, but I understand domination, I understand hierarchies and roles within them. You do not need a role model, it is something intrinsic in yourself, if you are staunchly confident in yourself and believe that you deserve to be followed, people will do so. It does work, even on demons, on occasion."

At the same time, he was beginning to wonder if the kelpie wasn't very bright. He wasn't sure how he could be any more overt than he was being. He wasn't feeling like the most brilliant Incubus in the world either.

He laughed a little at what Zar was saying. "Yes, because that has worked Sssoooooo well before for me. You barely batted an eye when I tore your room, but then again, you don't let yourself feel. You either think I can't handle you or just didn't feel that inspired. I tried with others with less than pleasing results. I don't go running in rivers at night just for my health these days," He got up, standing as he got up to roam around. He felt like walking about, growing restless. He'd been sitting and talking for a while after all.

"Can't really let loose here anyways. Barth is lovely but lacks energy half the time and Id be in deep trouble if I tore apart anything other than any little pets in the woods. Only wild thing I can do is run around and swim. Wish we had bigger things to hunt." He complained.

"I didn't bat an eye because I didn't believe it. I didn't think you were a danger to me, and I was correct in my estimation. You left without damaging anything other than a chair. It is important to assert oneself in a way that will leave a lasting impression, words do not hold the same gravity. Bark and no bite has little effect on me, I have nothing at all to lose, I will always call a bluff." He crossed a hoof over the other, leaning back to lie down on the couch, one wing spilled over to the floor.

He gave the kelpie a thoughtful look, tapping his chin with a long claw. "You could try and hunt me, if you wanted. It would not be easy, I can fly short distances now, and I run faster than you might think."

Calder stopped, tail flicking. "I didn't hurt you because Barth is protecting you. We had a talk and he don't want me breaking you. He asked me to be nice. It's because of him that I didn't lay a finger on you, so no. I'm not all talk and no show. Barth just didn't want me to hurt you which I would have done before." He said, turning and flicking his tail at the accusation.

As Zar lounged in the couch, offering himself, he just smiled. "I can run faster than some boil who stays locked up in his room all day."

He went over and then reached down to grip the exposed neck softly, "Try escaping now. " He said, grinning. Zar obviously didn't know that he had suction skin that made his skin hold like super glue.
PostPosted: Mon Dec 23, 2013 5:22 pm

"You let him tell you what to do so easily? I am not fragile, though I may look it, nor these days have I been shut in my room all of the time either, I have been training, eating and keeping fit, I am not as wasted away as I once was." He gave Calder a half lidded and very relaxed look as the kelpie made his way over, he made no move to escape as his throat was seized, still very much of the opinion that despite assurances to the contrary, Calder meant him no real harm.

He did obligingly try and move away from the grip, only to realise that strangely and inexplicably, he was stuck, his skin stuck to Calder's hand as if glued there.

"That is certainly an ability you have there." he said, genuinely impressed, he wouldn't have minded an ability like that himself - no one could ever truly leave.

"But here is mine." And with that and a sudden sensation of Zar's own emotions - deep harrowing solitude, arousal and that undercurrent of predatory blackness - he reached out to rifle through Calder's emotions.

He was rather proud to prove that escape was hard with Calder, but he hadn't expected to fall into a trap. It was, like Calder's, not a expected or visual ability, but Jack did he feel it.

The feelings taken had him breathing in sharply. The endless dark of pitiless loneliness, a hunger for something more than just talking, a heated lusting, and a rolling darkness of feral energy. It was a cocktail of familiar and unknown, surprising and flattering, shocking and perplexing.

From the transfusion if emotions in his system, a gong at his core flooded emotions back. A pent up well if flooding frustration, a swirling, constant self-doubt, pangs of jealousy and flattery mixed in response from what he felt from Zar. Surprise, flattery, and yet a racing caution and paranoia at being tricked that was eaten by the dark, deep oceans of his predator side waiting at the lightest call to take hold.

He gripped more tightly, looking at him as his eyes darkened, and, with stronger breathes, he leaned over him to look into his eyes. He charged his eyes with fear, powering his Lure ability to try and make the demon fall in awe for him. To see if he could get scared by beauty or if it would have the desired effect.

Zar found himself mentally leaning into Calder's emotions, so different from his own, bright and racing, like a gallop through a shallow river. His self doubt was evident, along with his suspicion, and he felt at least that the suspicion was self evident. He didn't withhold his own emotions, the genuine and raw attraction he had felt when he looked him over, letting Calder at the very least see that part of his self doubt was unfounded, that Zar was picky, that he wasn't simply trying to fool him - this time.

The sensations for Zar were overwhelming, the ability was a new one and it was difficult for him to guard his own emotions, more honest and less demonic than he could wish from Calder. New and inexperienced and he could not sever the link, nor pull away.

There was a flicker of panic in him as he realised his predicament, laid bare in ways he resented by his own arrogant decision. In his panic he made the mistake of meeting Calder's gaze and duly felt himself succumbing to it, his thoughts icing over even as he thought them, held in frozen awe by the magically exaggerated sight that lay before him.

There probably was a book somewhere explaining why seduction creatures didn't practice their tricks on each other. Having Calder be stuck, having Zar send emotions through contact and the have Calder using Lure was now being cycle back to him and I turn cycled back to Zar. He felt a magical, griping hold to just state at Zar's gorgeous eyes and take in his features.

The white, sleek hair, soft eyes, and gleaming horns. It made him want to move closer, and his grip on his neck and leaned in, closer, closer, to take in all the details. Long lashes. Plump lips.

Zar wasn't lying about working out to being fit.

"What were..." His eyes were so deep. "...saying about Leads?"

They acted.

He leaned down and pressed his lips firmly on his.

Thing was, Calder was still sticky.

Zar was lost, afloat in an ocean of out of control emotions, only some of which were his own, it was impossible to drag himself back to control or sanity, feeling Calder observe him ended up with him mirroring the gesture, once again arousal spiking in the immediate and jolting way it so often did for him.

As Calder met his lips, his tail threw coils around the kelpie like a python. Almost all of Zar's muscle was in his hooves and tail and it showed, on every exhale of breath tightening its grip and making it harder to breath in again. But Zar was still ensnared, still wanted everything he got and didn't mind being trapped, it didn't matter to him, this was his element and it was the only place he was not afraid.

He kissed back, deepening the gesture only to try and lean back briefly for breath and panic once more, making a muffled sound of surprise as he realised they were liplocked.

He pressed into the lips, setting his hand down on the couch as he leaned over, hair spilling down in a cool wave. Zar was warm, didn't smell like preservatives and chemicals like his friends. He had the heavy musk of some creature he hadn't encountered, and a smell of a freshly issued book picked right off the stack. He wanted to move down and explore, and while Zar pressed back, he delighted in the tight squeeze around him from his tail. It was possessive and helped him to stay in place.

But that wasn't the only thing helping.

When Zar pulled back and panicked, Calder felt it too. He pulled and realized fully the problem HE created. He was stuck, and a heavy wave of humiliation and embarrassment rushed through as he tried to release. This however required him to concentrate, which was hard feeling Zar's emotions and his emotions returned. His face flushed a hot red and he murmured a wait and held up one finger for Zar not to pull it panic.

Zar was sliding more and more into distraction. Nearness, comfortable physical warmth and the refreshing scent of Calder were all contributing factors to his inability to focus at all. And the more distracted and muddled he got, the more the tail got comfortable and determined not to relinquish the other boil. Not that it would have mattered, stuck the way they apparently were.

He didn't want to imagine having to shuffle down the hallways like this to seek out Barth's help, he didn't want to imagine being stuck like this indefinitely. He tried not to think about it, the panic no doubt rocking the emotional link they were bound to.

But he stayed still, trying to be as relaxed and steady as he could manage physically, mortified that he might somehow make it worse by moving. But despite the horror and embarrassment of the situation, Zar's instincts overwhelmingly were letting him focus on one thing, and one thing only.
