XIII falling stars Wow am I the only one here who prefers ★ to ♥? Probably. Riyu kind of bugs me, so maybe I'm biased because <3 is the last song that she performed before BeForU became KosakaRiyuForU. She drowned out all the other members so badly before BeForU NEXT was formed. D:

1 finger on left key(left hand), 3 fingers on up, down, and right keys(right hand)

left index finger on left arrow, right middle finger on up arrow, right index on down arrow, right ring finger on right arrow
trust me, it works, but i bet it's inherently inferior to spread. it's just a weird way i came up with to play that somehow became intuitive

i wonder if you use the same finger layout though?

I use a very unorthodox style, too.
I use the Number Pad, with my left index and middle fingers on the left and down buttons, and then my middle and ring on up and right.
I ended up finding that this was easiest for me when I had to move my hands around after they started to hit each other during the faster songs, which screwed me over.
Long streams between the up and right arrows can be kind of tough, because you can only go so fast with your middle and ring fingers, but it defintiely gets the job done. :D

i use four fingers. usually i either play spread (dfjk) or with (fgth) set up like the arrow keys. i use my middle and ring finger of both hands.

I use the arrow keys with both hands (left index and middle for up and left, right for down and right).

I play index with the arrow keys.
I want to learn how to play spread, but I've tried and my timing is s**t, and everything feels VERY awkward to me. crying

I play like I'm typing - right hand on the arrow keys, and left hand on w of up, a for left, s for right, and z for down. It works for typists, I guess.
But WOW is that a naughty title.

Honestly, my thoughts exactly... XD
For years, I've been playing as index only. That's it. Index. Previously, though, I HAVE played three-finger, which I found amusing for many months, but I missed the old index. Occasionally, though VERY rarely, I do three. Sometimes I was bored, so I tried out four! Sure, it was hard, but could come in handy. Again, VERY rare that I did three or four.
Next was another fun style. Playing SM on my laptop was hard to do with index, especially if I'm laying in bed playing it, then it's all bouncy (the laptop). Before that time, I have practiced spread a little, and then I practiced some more for a month or two.
Whenever I'm in the mood, I'll play spread or index. Whatever appeals to me. =] But Index pride! <3

index and middle. my friend does 2 fingers on the "z" and "x" keys so he can do 4-steps he claims of beating tough songs and i look at him like stare
