"He won't say," Rabid shrugged, "He just won't sleep at all. Liam says he saw him...err...break down? After a dream. Yeah. Not good."

Julian winced with genuine sympathy.
"Oh. Well..." He trailed off for a moment. "If I could do anything to help, I will."
Though he might try to kill me if I tried anything, he thought to himself, feeling rather cynical.

"Unless you'd like to spike his food with horse tranquilizers, I'm pretty sure there's nothing you can do," she smirked slightly, "but thank you."

Julian laughed, letting her go and sitting down in what was left of the snow.
"Yeah, I s'pose so. Just thought I'd offer." he said, looking out at the lake again.

Rabid looked over to him and snerked.
"You're gonna get wet," she arched an eyebrow and slowly peered toward the lake. On an impulse she began to remove her shoes, socks, and sweater to reveal an odd black tanktop.

"Doesn't matter, I can dry it off pretty...uh. What're you...?" Julian swallowed hastily as he caught sight of Rabid. Sure, it was warm, but not exactly summer yet. It was force of will alone that kept yet another damnable blush from creeping into his face.
"Uh. Huh."

"Waking myself up," Rabid nodded and stood, tossing her assorted clothing his way and taking off at a full sprint toward the lake. She dove in rather gracefully, considering her usual movement. The cold water hit her hard...although she still couldn't feel its temperature.
She considered staying down to scare Julian...but decided against it and rose to the surface, flipping her hair.

"Ack! Hey!"
Pulling the sweater away from his face, he watched as Rabid dove into the water. Okay, then. Getting up and following after her in a rather puppyish manner, still holding her clothes, Julian knelt down in the sand of the shore and watched her.
"You're out of your mind," he called to her. Laughing a little to himself, he reached out to the water and dipped his fingers in. "Augh," he muttered. The water was frigid.

"Of course I am!" she dove under again and held her breath, swimming as close to the shore as she could without getting a shirt full of sand.
"Cold, huh?"
She went under again, braced her legs against the shore, and kicked off into a backflip. Backward bellyflops. Ow.

"Are you kidding me? It's freezing." Julian said before she dove under again. Watching the surface of the water ripple outwards, he sighed and stuck his hand in. It went numb within seconds, and he withdrew it quickly. So much for the idea of going in with her.
"Rabid, c'mon. You'll go hypothermic." He said, even though she was still underwater.

"Hypothermia. Does not compute," Rabid said as she returned to the surface and crawled out of the water on all fours, sopping wet. She clutched her limp shirt to her chest and reached out for her sweater.
She was trembling, but she still didn't feel cold...nor was any part of her blue or goosepimpled.

Julian handed over the sweater obligingly, though he couldn't help but let his eyes linger where the black shirt clung for a second.
"You're shivering." He said, succumbing to the need to state the obvious. Skirting around his thoughts a moment, he grinned. "You can come back to the room if you want to dry off. Everyone's gone for the day," he added, a thin note of hope in the last few words.

Rabid pulled her sweater down over her head. She arched an eyebrow. Dry off? She could dry off anywh--
Oh.
"Alright...sure," she smiled slightly.

Fighting off the urge to laugh at himself for the complete lack of subtlety, he offered Rabid his hand again. There was a faint blush on his face as he started to lead her back across the grounds, and there was only a trace of embarrassment in his voice.
"Well...uh. 'Kay then."
