It was as though Rosalie had never mentioned Desmond at all. The man was well and truly invisible to her.
Well. Perhaps she was a little hard on her knives of late, but... "I seem to have a personal blacksmith. I think they can take a little abuse. Or are they so poorly made that they can't hold an edge?"
Whether Jacob was vicious or not, and whether the twins were frightened of him, it changed nothing. Their meeting was inevitable; and if it had to happen, then it was bloody well going to happen on her own terms.
Already calculating her next move, Rajani handed the knife to Rosa and stood. "I believe we've traumatized the staff enough for one afternoon." Indeed, though there were no other patrons, a serving-woman was staring at the pair of them rather frightfully.

"Oh they'll take the abuse, trust me." She waved it off, frowning. "But I don't like the thought of you getting caught without having them be at their best." She really would be Raj's personal blacksmith if she asked. She wouldn't even hesitate in accepting.
She took the knife, looking it over just to see what it had been through. Yes it was still sharp, just not up to her standards. With a hum she stood up as well, nodding to the serving-woman. At the very least, it was over now. She was back in the game, and was going to be even better than before.
But now, it was time to retrieve her guardian from his rigorous training and give this blade the attention it deserved.
