Rivener smiled as Zul stole his cell again, snorting in amusement. Seems the demon had lost his own, for now? Riv put up no protest at all, knowing he was calling Alex. The red eyes turned back to Melisande instead, focusing on keeping the lovely Muse distracted and comfortable while they waited for the backup help to arrive. Leaning forward, Riv ran fingers lightly along the bandage, admiring the deft handiwork. "He does good work," Riv said with a raised eyebrow. "Looks secure."

The Scorpion pulled back then to watch Meli's face, smiling as he noticed her flowers peeking out farther, blooming encouragingly fast. He chuckled at her admission, shaking his head. "Just get one of the simple ones, and it's pretty much like using a normal phone. All the extra doo-dads are just that: extras. As long as you can take and receive phone calls, I'd be content." He opened his mouth to insist on buying her the phone, but the man stopped himself. Slowly his mouth closed in an understanding smile. She wanted to feel responsible. She wanted to feel autonomous and independant. He wanted to encourage that strong streak in her, so he wouldn't insist though he dearly wanted to. "Alright," he agreed, grinning at her again. "You could get one soon. If oyu need help picking one out, let me know. I'm a bit of an expert." He winked.

"Seems like Alex will be here soon. Zul and I will stay here with you as long as you want. All day, all night, all WEEK. Whatever you want." He smiled and moved to sit beside her on the bed, slowly and carefully slipping a hand over hers on the mattress. "You agreed to coffee: We're yours."
