Shadow, could you be the nurse? And if so, can you make her say something about her having eyes like her mother, but say no more when Alexia tries to question her further?

I can play the nurse until we get some sociopathic brave soul who wants to take her, certainly.
I doubt it's the same nurse who was there when Alexia's mother was--that one's probably retired (or, ahem, "retired") by now. Is there a reason she might know anyway?

Yes, they do. They have three semesters, kind of like at college:
Winter semester is September-December, spring semester is January-April, summer semester is May-August. They get ~2-3 weeks off between semesters to recharge, and with special written permission they can go home for those breaks, but otherwise they're on school grounds all the time.
Teachers have more leeway. They have vacation time and stuff. Most of them are pretty silly dedicated and don't usually take it, though.

Staff gossip works. They probably use it as a training exercise for the current nursing staff now.

What if the spirits of Alex's parents-or at least, her mother-followed her around? Just an idea if Alex ever meets Celia.

Could be. If you think their bond was strong enough to pull the ghost away from where their body died.
