Tang, take a step back and come at this tomorrow a bit less upset. That's what I'm doing. You and I got too heated and need to back off for a bit. Let's let the not heated peeps decide what to do, 'kay?

I'm not going to feel any different about it tomorrow than I do today.
It's unfair to Oblivs if it stays a soul gem. If it is going to be put into the store it needs to be reworked into an item that will be usable by ALL parties.

*whispers* Specifically said it didn't need to be a soul gem. But again, who all are you guys having plan on dying that you would actually need this item for, anyway?

And that's what Umbra is talking about. Changing or doing something that way it's more fair. And I'll probably disagree with you tomorrow and with her, but that's fine cause I'll be more awake and less likely to bite than I am tonight. And mroe reasonable. And on that note. Night. I'm off.

*still working on proposal*
I have a lot of plots this could potentially be useful for especially given how the order of the onyx feels about things. Hell if it goes through I may ask brolis about super secret metaplot things.

For some reason I thought this only applied to bonded Drakeins

Meta plots are always fun and I could see this as a potential one. It'd be a good way to introduce the item into play. Something major happens to a character and they are brought back. *____*
Each race could have a different ritual and the Obliv's could be a much more intense/difficult one because they'd have to be working around the whole...no soul thing.

Tasinei That was the original intention of it right? XD Yep, pretty much! I mean, I never specifically thought of it as limited to bonded's, but I never really considered using it on anyone else, either. >.<

Yea, that's why when I was reading the comments I was like "then why did I write my idea?" lmao. I guess it would be up to you to keep it to bonded only or not.

Even if it was the original intention...it still brings up the issue with Oblivs being souless.
And..then you have the people that think if it's possible to do it with a bonded...then it could very well be possible with Magescians. So you'd be having others trying to use that type of magic on loved ones that have died.
What if it involved more than just a gem for Magescians? What if you had to involve a powerful blood sorcerer in on the ritual?
It is an item that has both great potential and an item that has could very well prove a failure in the long run because it does dabble into some very taboo types of magic most likely.

...I wonder what would happen if you put a soul inside something that wasn't meant to have one?

If anyone bothered to read what I wrote, it involved Obvs?
Which was why I got confused to begin with e.e

Only if it could only be used on bonded Drakeins, it wouldn't have anything to do with Oblivionite's being soulless, because they wouldn't be the ones being brought back to life. Just the Drakein. And I did like the way Tasi included the Oblivs. ^w^ But yeah... People would definitely be curious and want to try it for themselves. I guess if it always failed, they'd give up eventually, though! I just dunno... I guess I should've thought a bit more about it. Maybe if I'd added a few more limitations or something... *sighs*
