With: two bandits (Souji and Suzume)

   Artemis froze when she heard a voice calling out to her, telling her not to hide. Yeah like THAT was going to work, who the hell really stopped hiding from bandits just because they told you not to? The man went on further to say he didn't want to fight, ofcourse he didn't, he wanted to rob and violate her with as little resistance as possible, no bandit WANTED to have to go through the trouble of fighting their victims first. Her eyes widened further when she realized that the voice sounded familiar. Artemis peaked out from around the tree and go a better look at the two. It was Souji and Suzume! "wait....when did they become bandits...this world has become more corrupt than I thought...oh no...maybe they became evil to balance out me becoming a sage...then does that mean this is my fault...oh no..." she frantically said to herself, still convinced the former saints where now bandits. Though really even if they weren't bandits it didn't matter, they where both just ghosts of her past, the past she's tried for years to put behind her, come back to haunt her right as she was about to finish her pilgrimage and complete her training. She was this close to finally being able to shed off the person she used to be once and for all and be born anew, and these two where nothing more than an obstacle now, a temptation that had to be resisted. She had to get around them, they couldn't find out it was really her. She couldn't risk talking to them, not now, maybe later, in a year or two, then she'd be ready to face them, but definitely not now. Coming up with a quick plan Artemis coughed a few times and when she finally spoke up her voice sounded deep and gravely, though if one listened close you could tell it was someone intentionally trying to alter their voice. "s-sorry, just passing through into town, thought you two where bandits...I'll just be going then"she said in the manliest voice she could muster, walking out from behind the tree. She made her way past the two with a good berth between them, not even on the road anymore, keeping her hood down and her face turned away from them the whole time. As soon as she'd get past them she'd break out in a sprint to try to get into town, where she'd hopefully be able to loose them for good.

OOC sad just a small thing, but Artemises personality has actually done a 180 since the last time any of the saints had met, she used to be very violent and callous to everyone, including the other saints. So from your characters frame of reference the mysterious figure acting all timid and weak would NOT in any way tip them off that it was Artemis. In fact it's the opposite, the fact she's acting like a coward now should make Artemis the least likely suspect, since the Artemis they knew would NEVER act this way)
Seeing Suzume reach back for her weapon put a good amount of haste in her step, now wanting even more to be past these two dark shadows of her past. Artemis had almost made it past them both scott free when suddenly the pink haired sparrow called out to her by name. How the hell had she realized it was her? There was no way that was possible, her disguise was perfect, her change of voice uncanny, and it's not like she in any way acted like she used to. Did Suzume have some sort of magical sense that told her it was her? Or maybe she just had a really good sense of smell, like a blood hound picking up the scent of blood that could never be washed from her tainted hands. Artemis wished desperately at this moment that she was able to cast magic without using her bow as a conduit, that way she probably could have fully disguised herself magically. She faltered for a step, probably a dead give away for the immaculately perceptive Suzume, and suddenly rushed off in a dead sprint, pulling her hood down around her face with both hands. "y-y-you're mistaken!...I um, don't know who your talking about! leave me alone or I'll report you to the guard as bandits!" she shouted as she ran, her fake voice faltering at the beginning, another pretty obvious give away that she was not, infact, a man.

Artemis ignored Souji's blind accusations. How could she be a bandit? She was holy sage (in training)! Who had ever heard of something so preposterous? When he pointed out that she smelt of blood her eye twitched and her hands began to shake. Why did he have to go remind her of that? Hadn't she suffered enough guilt for everything she's done? Only ten seconds back with the old saints and already they where torturing her with cruel memories.
Artemis raced off away from the two shadows of her dark past, and rushed straight through the front gates of the city without so much as a hello to the guard, though remembering to flash her sage crest to avoid getting flagged down. Once inside the city the girl quickly dipped through a few back allies and emerged in the densly packed market district, making sure she had lost the other two for good. When she was convinced she was in the clear Artemis let out a sigh of relief and wiped her brow, throwing her hood off in the process. Immediately she made her way to the local temple in town to complete this leg of her pilgrimage. After that she'd have to find a way to secure food and shelter for the night without any money, something that would probably prove to be problematic.
