While most would've attempted to continue the assault and wear Disciple down, Matt simply aimed to punctuate it for now. With the man dazed against the ropes, The Storm stormed straight at the man and attempted to deliver a fierce clothesline, hoping to send him right over and to the outside!

Disciple was just up to straighten his stance, when all of a sudden the big man Matt came rumbling in. Disciple was nailed with the clothesline. Like a the monster in The Blob, Disciple rolled over the top rope, tumbling to the outside like a massive redwood. Luckily the vet was wise enough to hold the ropes on his way down to soften his landing. The Dreadnaught found himself on one knee on the outside. Taking a few deep breaths, Disciple need to refocus. He climbed back to his feet and began to circle the ring.

Nathanial stood nearby, shout for his Nephew to get back into the ring.
"What are you doing?! Get back in there and destroy him!"

The God of Punks backed up to the center of the ring, wearing a small smirk on his lips. He had turned the tides, at least for now; you know, he was starting to realize why people thought it was such a big deal whenever they managed to knock him down too!

"C'mon, Disciple! What are you doing?! Get back in here and destroy Shanahan! Let's do it!" Matt taunted as a wide grin crossed his lips, hoping to get into the larger man's head. He put his hands on his knees and crouched down, eyeing the situation outside the ring.

Disciple circled the ring, slowly making his way up the steel steps.

Nathanial stood nearby commanding the Ref to do his job and make sure Shanahan didn't attack Disciple while he was making his way back into the ring.
"Keep him back!"

Eying the Champ in the center of the ring, The Dreadnaught took his time as he took a few steps across the apron. After a moment or two, the monster swung his leg over the top rope, easily stepping into the ring. Taking another moment Disciple sized up Matt with his mask's unnerving gaze. He then took a few steps forward away from the ropes to collide with the Champ once more. Looking to push him back, while trying to rain in some hard rights.

The rights connected, forcing Matt back. Getting the Champ into the ropes, The Dreadnaught would then take the ring position and utilize it. He stopped throwing rights, and pushed Matt into the ropes using the potential energy to whip him across the ring. If Shanahan bounced off the opposite set of ropes, Disciple would look to catch him on the rebound, and send him over his knee with a kitchen sink.

((Sorry, been really busy with BBW lately. Expected this match to be ended since the PPV is up. ))

The Storm was whipped across the ring, and before he had a chance to get his momentum to a halt, he was sent flipping onto his back by Disciple's knee.

With Shanahan down Disciple took a moment to enjoy the image of Matt at his feet in pain. The Dreadnaught would then reach down and go to palm Matt's head with both hands. Looking to drag him to his feet and launch him up onto his chest and shoulder, looking to wear the big man down with a bear hug.

The God of Punks felt his head being pulled up by head, having to quickly stand to his feet to prevent having his head ripped off. With a howl of pain, The Storm recomposed himself to discover that Disciple was beginning to squeeze the life out of him! A roar of defiance followed after as Matt attempted to wrap a hand around the back of Disciple's head and start flailing his right forearm against the masked man's forehead!

Through he was slowly squeezing the life out of the Champ, Shanahan showed his resilience. After a few well placed forearms, Disciple head began to spin. Thus forcing him to release his grip around the waist of the God of Punks. Disciple took a few steps back after releasing Shanahan from his grasp, and began to rub his head in pain.

The Storm barely managed to land on his feet, even going so far as to fall to a knee for a moment afterwards. Even if the bearhug was applied for a short time, it still hurt like hell.

With the Dreadnaught dazed, Matt pushed himself to his feet and aimed to deliver a rough kick to the man's stomach, hoping to make him bend over. If he managed to, Matt would go sprinting at the ropes horizontally, and direct a big boot to the side of Disciple's head!

While tending to his head, Disciple was left wide open for an offense from Shanahan. Before he knew it, Matt's foot hit him in the gut, forcing him to double over. Then to add insult to injury, Disciple gets nailed by the Champ's boot barreling into the side of his skull. The Dreadnaught dropped to a knee, again tending to his head.

The Dreadnaught was falling prey to the combo the fans rarely saw out of Shanahan; the fans rose to their feet, chanting for The Storm as he continued to run after the boot, bouncing off the opposite ropes! On his way back, he aimed a brutal punt to the side of Disciple's head!

His head was now throbbing at this point. Some forearm shots and a boot to the skull from The Storm would do that. However Disciple was tough. He visibly shook the boot off, and began to stand. If it was a normal man facing Disciple it would truly be a horrify sight to see the Dreadnaught standing back up so early after such a series of blows. However Shanahan wasn't a normal man, and it came apparent as he didn't stop at the sight but followed through. Connecting with the punt, Disciple now down on both knees, and hands. Like slow moving elephant Disciple crawled on all fours, and in a daze began to lumber over to the ropes.

Matt's sprint continued until he found himself back against the original set of ropes he bounced off of, turning around to see that Disciple wasn't on his back. The fans weren't going to get a complete Punk's Philosophy tonight, but they'd have to deal with what they got. By looping an arm around the rope, The Storm managed to bring his momentum to a halt. Another quick attack wasn't going to help end this one.

... But maybe something else would help move things along.

Matt's eyes remained locked onto the Dreadnaught while he stalked off to the side, moving to where he was fully behind the larger man. He remained quiet and loose, just waiting for the man to get up to a near standing position...

Disciple had managed to make his way over to the ropes, using them to slowly get back to his feet. His head was pounding, but the veteran had to remain focus. Shaking the last of the cob webs out Disciple began to stand. Unaware that the Champ was waiting behind him like a animal ready to pounce. Getting to a foot, with one hand on his knee, and the other grasping the ropes The Dreadnaught began to stand.
