This time Luther actually listened and watched as David turned the light on and off. He supposed humans would need these sources of light if they were to remain indoors. Luther definitely didn't have these in his own home, if the sun went down then generally everyone slept, except for his family that is. Only the rich owned flowing Zebrafish to keep their environments lit up. They were sort of like pets really. Luther wasn't entirely fond of the light fixture, something that caused one to be blind shouldn't be in a home.
His mind was taken off of the lamp when he felt something kind of heavy in his hand. Luther inspected the object and became entranced by what he saw. "You must be a King too. Why didn't you tell me you had other worlds in your home?" he asked curiously, turning the globe around several times to inspect the world inside. His father had hundreds of small worlds filled with tiny crustaceans so seeing this sort of things wasn't surprising to him.

David Marlet The sea is such a mysterious place... ≈∻≈∻≈ ∻ "Let me assure you that I am not a King. I may be rich enough to be one thanks to my father but I am not a King." David stated calmly, reaching out to stroke the smooth glass of the object. "And this is not another world. It a snow globe. It's just a class bowl with a base that holds water, a small statue or figurine, and glitter or other forms of 'snow'. This one belonged to my late mother. She loved Dolphins..." He trailed off quietly as he stared at the Dolphin that was 'swimming' inside of the dome. "Ah sorry about that." He said coming out of his trance like state before gently taking the snow globe out of Luther's hand and taking it back over to its respected place next to his parent's wedding picture.
∻ He turned back to look at the other once more with a small smile on his face. "Go on. Don't be shy just go right on and explore. I'll stay right here and answer any questions that you might have and when you're done with room we can move onto the Kitchen... Oh that is a dangerous room." He murmured the last part quietly to himself as he looked around the living room for anything that could be a danger to the other if not warned. But the room was safe so there was nothing for him to worry about unless Luther tripped on the dark grey rug that was placed in the center of the room like he had when he first moved into the apartment. Though he doubted that the other was that clumsy.≈∻≈∻≈ ...wouldn't you agree? [{(ⓞ•ⓞ•ⓒ• )}]

Luther wasn't quite sure about the difference between these snow globes and the worlds he saw in his father's war room. But for now he wouldn't over think the difference. When mention of David's mother came up, Luther was even more confused. " 'Late' mother? What is she late for?" he asked curiously, though when he received his answer Luther's cheeks blushed a little and he fell silent. What a stupid question he asked. Luther looked around and saw pictures on the wall but he knew what those were, along with the tables and some other basic furniture. The little bit of studying he did at home helped a little, it was interesting that the very subject he avoided was now paying its price.
There wasn't much Luther was confused about so he moved into the kitchen, though he hadn't really meant to. He looked around, opening drawers and cupboards filled with food and eating utensils. Luther picked up two of the utensils, seeing the knives and understanding what they were. He turned around toward David with the four-pronged utensil and one that looked like it had a scoop. "What are these?" he asked curiously, placing them on the counter after he received his answer. He didn't care to learn about the other machines, since they were so big and complicated looking. "Where is your larder?"

David Marlet The sea is such a mysterious place... ≈∻≈∻≈ ∻ David cringed when the other asked about his mother, but decided to answer him anyways. "Um well she is a little late for everything now. Considering the fact that she is... in a better place." He said giving a sad smile, refusing to say the word 'dead'. He watched as Luthar looked around the room, taking everything in before he wandered off into the kitchen. "What about your mom? I've heard you talk about your father but you don't say anything about your mother." He said calmly, following the other into the kitchen to make sure he didn't get into anything dangerous. It was amusing to just sit there and watch the other explore the room. The curiosity in the boy's movements made him seem so innocent, and almost childish.
∻ "The utensil with the prongs is a fork and the other one is a spoon. The fork is used for stabbing your food while the spoon works like a shovel for liquids like soup." He explained, waiting for the other to set them down so that he could put them away. "My larder? Well I have a refrigerator and a pantry. The fridge is for holding my food items that need to stay cold and my pantry just holds my non-perishables." He said calmly as he walked over to the fridge and pulled it open to reveal the food hidden inside before shutting it. "That was the fridge. The pantry is in that closet over by the kitchen door. You can look in it if you like but it's just a bunch of boxes and cans."≈∻≈∻≈ ...wouldn't you agree? [{(ⓞ•ⓞ•ⓒ• )}]

Once David explained that his mother was in a better place he understood what he meant. Luther didn't want to dwell on the mortal's mother for too long but then the topic shifted to his own mother. "I'm not sure where she is. Her name is Amphitrite...she's an ancient sea goddess but my father doesn't say much about her." he said softly, his attention turned toward the fridge and pantry as he started to wonder when the humans stopped using larders. Then again the textbooks he read for his classes were probably outdated. Eventually he got bored with exploring the inside of the house and wondered about what was beyond the walls he was in. Luther wandered out into the living room and opened a door that led outside. He staggered for a minute or two at how big and wide his environment was but he took a few brave steps and saw the ocean at a distance. "I didn't know you lived near the ocean." he said softly, though that would make sense how he was brought to this man's home so quickly. "What else is out there?"

David Marlet The sea is such a mysterious place... ≈∻≈∻≈ ∻ Upon hearing that Luther's mother was a sea goddess, David's eyes widened in surprise. Not only did he have a Merman in his apartment, he had the son of the King of the ocean and a sea goddess. He was not feeling lucky at all. "Do you think if your mother could heal you if you could find her? I mean if she is a sea goddess then she must have some kind of power that could help you." He asked quietly, following the other as he went out onto the balcony. "It's beautiful isn't it? This balcony is the only reason I chose this room over the rest in the complex. It's the only one with a clear view of the ocean." He said calmly as he rested his arms against the railing. "Come have a closer look, you won't fall because the railing is here, and even if you did I'll catch you. It would be a shame if the Prince if the Sea died on my watch." A teasing smile spread across his lips as he stated the last part of his little speech before turning his head to look out at the ocean once more. What would I do if he did end up dying on my watch? What if he needs certain conditions to survive? Could I really keep him alive if he does? I could never even keep a goldfish alive how will I keep this curious Mermaid from getting hurt? His mind was feeling with questions that didn't seem to have any answers.≈∻≈∻≈ ...wouldn't you agree? [{(ⓞ•ⓞ•ⓒ• I guess I figured it out but I don't know how... sweatdrop David lives on the very top floor of an apartment building, but he does have a balcony that is connected to the living room.)}]

Luther was hesitant to continue further onto the balcony, he stood at the doorway for a few moments and decided to back away cautiously. Besides, right now he needed to worry about what his father was going to do when he realized Luther wasn't coming back anytime soon. There might be a glimmer of hope. "Will you take me to the ocean? I must send a message to my father before he becomes angry with my absence." Luther hardly cracked a smile, being a proper royal merman did not require such blatant expressions of joy or excitement.
