"Not gonna hear me complaining, but what happened to not wanting to rush things?" Des made a small groaning noise. "I will be fine. I'm not going to crash if you're just sitting here with nothing to do." He'd sleep later.

"I didn't rush things. I had a week to think, didn't I?" Gabriel said. Even if he'd decided that first morning. "Are you sure? What are you going to do, keep working?" He asked. He sighed a little. "Cait will be pissed if she finds out you didn't nap. More pissed."

"Still scared then?" He rolled his eyes, flopping back on the couch. "I won't work. But I'll sleep when I want to." He grumbled. "And Cait can suck it. She'll pull all nighters for releases so I don't see how this is any different."

"Of course I was scared. But...I wanted to be with you more than I was afraid of screwing up." Gabriel said, and then he shifted out of Des's lap and knelt next to the couch instead. "That's all I want. For you to take a break. Just for a little." He raised his eyebrows. "And I've stayed up all night for UFO chases, but that's not a week."

"First time for everything Angel. Can't let fear dictate what you want." He followed, rolling onto his stomach as Gabriel got off the couch and kneeled next to it. The purplette blinked curious as to why he was suddenly switching places again. "That is a weird hobby and one I won't question cause I'm not sure I can understand it."

"Yeah, I know," he said, and then he laughed a little. "I try not to talk about it too much, I know it sounds a little crazy. It's fun, though, I'm never alone." He kept stroking Des's hair, leaning forward to kiss him briefly.

"You wanted me to lay down on the couch. I'm laying down on the couch. Why would I get up." That didn't stop him from sitting up all the way though

Gabriel pulled himself back up on the couch, and then wrapped an arm around Desmond's waist, gently tugging the purple haired man over. "Lay back down, starshine." He kissed the back of the man's head.

He blinked as he was tugged over, and curled up against Gabriel. "...Starshine??"

Gabriel shrugged. "Well, you've been calling me Angel," he pointed out, stroking his hair slowly. "You light up my life."

"Aaaah... I feel I should elaborate then... Your name didn't happen because it was a play on words. ...Well it did but it didn't. It was more of the excuse I used as a cover up." He said as he turned his head, kind of tucking himself under Gabriel's chin. Then he sighed. "Okay, before I get comfortable, back at the desk I was at. In one of the drawers, there a small black spiral note book. Can you get it for me?" He said he wasn't leaving the couch and he wasn't.

Gabriel blinked slowly, and then he blushed. "So...all this time? Is that what you're saying?" Had Des really had feelings for him for so long? He blinked slowly and then stood up. "Alright, I'll be right back then," he said, going over to the desk and pulling out the notebook, then walking back to Des. "What's in here?"
