Alice, Alice, trying to find Wonderland. Alice twisted her hands together as she listened some unease stirring in her at his words but at last she spoke, her voice soft, "I have seen monsters, the scariest part of whom was their striking resemblence to people I once knew. And as for magic..." Alice shrugged, "I do not know enough of science to say it all makes sense to me and often enough the results are beyond my belief, beyond that I am willing to learn, but since I already have an expierence I will simply assume the catagories I have used are limited in their scope of mental allocation." She smiled wanely at him despite the unease she felt, "I will face what comes, and I will not break. I am willing to learn and grow, and it's the tree that cannot bend that is ripped up by it's roots." Alice was beyond disbelief at this point and any thing further would simply be catagorized as a part of her new job and handled as if these words had another meaning, as if from a different language and foreign culture to be handled as they came, rahter then dwelled upon.
Settling back on her seat Alice let out a sigh, "So since they have arrived near New York and we are headed to New York, I take it we are to meet with these Atlantis-people... Atlantians? Or is Atlantis just the mythos most closely associated with the kind and we don't know their land's name or what their people call themselves..."Trying to find a place where her Nightmare walk from her dreams into reality so that she can sleep in peace.

Seig McAndrew FBI Agent Washington DC Main FBI Office Personal Office Company: Alice 'I don't want the world to see me. Cause I don't think they'd understand...' "The scope is their to be interpreted. This files may be able to help you widen your ideas, but in the end this is all new science. New information. New catagorization of the food chain." Seig would question her on the experience latter, right now it was still onto business about the current assignment.
"Atlantis should be a non factor. This job is given to the FBI by members of the Department of Defense. The military is doing all that they can to be firm in their blockaid of Atlantis... According to my sources the Atlantians themselves seem to be at war with one another, but you don't know that and neither do I." Seig spoke of the information as not being top secret but being of no information. No one outside of military intelligence knew that information, and thats what Seig would have his superiors think as well.
Seig took the last bite of his meal. "Members of the Silver Lotus may very well be in on kidnappings, dissappearences, murder, and other illegal affairs over the last 100 years. We do have to do some police work and obtain proof to take these people in. Most of them are legitiment US nationals. I have a hunch that once these people are taken in however they may find themselves in Guantanomo Bay, or likewise instituation and studied for purposes regarding military use of any 'powers' they may have. The US military are fearful of an attack from Atlantis, they have reports stating an interior war, which means the people of Atlantis are no strangers to the ideas of war."
Seig sighed. "Which means we're glorified dog catchers for the Department of Defense."

Alice, Alice, trying to find Wonderland. Alice felt herself relax a touch at the word that these creatures so far beyond her perception had as familiar as civil wars, maybe their development was all that was different, but Alice couldn't afford to be caught off guard by formeding preconcieved notions. Taking out a few papers to dily flip thorugh, and skim as she spoke Alice found herself commenting, "Glorified hardly even covers it, the skill set alone sets us apart, add to the that the required mental flexibility, and willingness to pursue based on others reports something of which you know nothing about, and still yet to avoid forming notions that might prove wrong based on the common perception. For such a secret little group, the highest escehlon of skill and intelligence are called for, to be forever lost to the world due to the secret nature of their mission." Alice shrugged, "Those who can't make it wash out, and those who remain are forced to grow in skill equivelant to the different and power of that unknown they face." Her out-loud musings were cut short but a note in the papers that caught her eye and she sat back to read more carefully.Trying to find a place where her Nightmare walk from her dreams into reality so that she can sleep in peace.

Seig McAndrew FBI Agent Washington DC Main FBI Office Personal Office Company: Alice 'I don't want the world to see me. Cause I don't think they'd understand...' Seig listened to her musings with a smug smile on his face. While he did feel pain for her statement of washing out. Many of his coworkers hadn't washed out. Some had indeed, but still it was hard to see someone snap. It was hard to watch a person, who otherwise was the ruler of their world into a heep of depression circling the drain before the final flush takes them under. He hoped that the musing pointed to Alice not falling into this catagory.
"I'm no superman. I do what I have to do." He watched her eyes catch a file. He waited for her to fill him in. He had not clue what she had been looking at.

Alice, Alice, trying to find Wonderland. Alice heard his comment and started slightly, before licking her lips in an attempt to give herself a moment to form the statement properly, "It's... a rather interesting report about a 'vampire'..." Alice said a faint hint of color coming to her face and the tips of her ears as she spoke, though her expression betrayed nothing, and her tone was equally blase, "A rather detailed account, of one who devoured emotion rather then blood, and I can't help but wondering exactly how close this agent got to gather such... detailed information." Alice said an impishly, wry smile tugging at her lips as she passed it for his inspection.Trying to find a place where her Nightmare walk from her dreams into reality so that she can sleep in peace.

Seig McAndrew FBI Agent Washington DC Main FBI Office Personal Office Company: Alice 'I don't want the world to see me. Cause I don't think they'd understand...' "You get close to the victims. You learn the stories from people who are behind bars of an asylum." Seig shifted slightly uncomfortable on the issue. "Sometimes you meet demons in the street and watch them feed on the lambs, and there is nothing you can do because you have nothing to perform an arrest... or sometimes you have everything and then the people you arrest disappear." Seig gave her a weak smile from experience. "The Japanese have many creatures who devour dreams, emotions, sometimes specific emotions, even ghost are said to feed on the energy of emotions."

Alice, Alice, trying to find Wonderland. Alice sobered as she listened and set the file aside picking up another and leafing through, "I can understand that, I can't accept it but I can at least understand. And I feel the day I can accept that I may have lost something important and key to doing this job properly." She settled back to read for the remainder of the trip, not too long but long enough.
The limo pulled up to the hotel and Alice's phone popped up a text from her driver, to which she replied, giving him instructions to return to the house and keep an eye on it until she got home, she would inform him of how long that might be when she herself had a better idea. Tucking the phone back into her jacket pocket she rose and slipped back on her shoes before exiting the car. Valets hurried forward, for anyone arriving in such a car was a choice pick for a good tip, Alice smiled and let them load her luggage onto the trolly from the trunk before waiting for Seig to emerge and add his effects to the pile that would be wheeled up for them. "If you want to over see your things, I will run inside real quick and get our room keys,"Trying to find a place where her Nightmare walk from her dreams into reality so that she can sleep in peace.

Seig McAndrew FBI Agent Washington DC Main FBI Office Personal Office Company: Alice 'I don't want the world to see me. Cause I don't think they'd understand...' Seig was startled to here her response. Lost something? Was she attacked? Seig searched his mind for information on the case, but in the end he could think of nothing of that one, there was just to much information in the files for him to remember them all, and while he might have poked around for evidence on a case similiar to that one, he couldn't recall ever arresting anyone, and normally that what makes him remember the cases. Did he investigate to no avail and have odd things happen, or did he make an arrest or attempt to make an arrest? She began gathering her things as she made ready to get out of the car, on her way out Seig spoke up. "You're fearful, and doubt some of your skills. That's an emotion, and a big one. If something happened, I would say you are making a large recovery from it."
Seig then let her go about her business of directing traffic. Once again he was out of his element stepping out of a limo and into New York City. He stretched and then reached into the car and grabbed his lone duffle bag. He always traveled lightly. His eyes couldn't help but look up at how large the building was they would be staying in. Again Alice surprised him with a luxerious, though he figured with the coming storms, the hotel most likely was begging to sell rooms. One of the members of the hotel tried to offer assistance in taking Seig's bag from him, that wasn't going to happen. To much to explain if the shotgun, and the rather odd assortment of ammo were found out. "Beats a motel on the side of the highway I suppose..." Seig didn't like being pampered, something that the workers of hotels such as these were paid to do. He knew they were only doing their jobs but at times it all felt... stuffy.
He made his way semi following the workers. He gave a slight wave to the driver of the limo as he moved into the building. Three steps into the building and security was already on him about his bag and it's contents. I guess they could already smell blood in the water. Seig held up his badge and began to explain that it was FBI property and it would be detrimental to evidence if it was handled without an agent on hand. The security was taken off gaurd that he was an FBI agent. Seig kept an eye on Alice as the security guy bumbled around, unsure of how to verify the badge or it's number. Seig eventually got his bag through, and taught the security officer how to run a badge number through the FBI's processiing unit and to come back with any questions he might have. Seig was sure there would be no questions.
He waited for Alice to tell him where he was going. He needed a shower, and some food. While he had eaten the chicken and rice, he was not a fan of indian food and secretly hoped the place had room service that wouldn't cost him an arm and a leg.. there was always pizza Seig was already making plans on how to obtain food that might be considered contraband to people of this atmosphere. The thought amused him in his own mind.

Alice, Alice, trying to find Wonderland. Alice smiled faintly at him, "I can't imagine the thought of watching something like that happen for the sake of gathering information, but I guess I hate to see people lose what I never had." She hurried into the building without a second glance back. Alice knew there was something of her that was lacking and it came predominantly from her upbringing, but there was no sense in feeling sorry for herself and mourning the loss of what she had never had in the first place.
Alice made it into the lobby and up to the main desk, she smiled and asked for the hotel manger before introducing herself from the phone call and offering her hand to shake as well as her closed badge. The man flipped open the badge case and nodded, he had expected her and their room had certain arrangements made for service, such as canceling the room service during the time when they were not home as well as moving a second room safe into the room for the duration of their stay. But he had just left to inform the security staff to leave them be when his more then adequate staff took exception to the young woman's partner. But the situation was handled quite capably and the manager looked over to see the young woman watching her partner with a slight smile on his face and he passed her two card keys, "Your room has been set so that no other card panel will reset the keys other then my own. So if you need another copy, please make sure you come to me." Alice nodded and walked back over to Seig, waving a beckoning finger to the bellhop who was pulling her luggage cart, she lopped her arm through his free arm, "Our room is on the third floor, and the elevators are over this way..." She said leading the way.Trying to find a place where her Nightmare walk from her dreams into reality so that she can sleep in peace.

((Anyone wanna play his second in command?)) ℣ɑƪɑɨɑʂ §ℯդOur principles are highest: honor, solidarity, and vengeance. We know there’s no justice for us except we earn it. We earn respect. Leader of the Silver Lotus ɭσcαʈɨσɳ: Little Tokyo/sidewalk Valaias walked through the crowded streets of Little Tokyo more calmly than most residents. And why shouldn't he? He'd spent all morning mediating. And so far, the society of his guild was running smoothly. Almost too smoothly for his taste. He glanced at each person passing by. Each of them so oblivious...so clueless...to what was really going on behind the scenes. Did they know he could rip their throats open and drain the life from their bodies? Probably not, or else they wouldn't be shouldering him the way they did. Poor, silly humans. If only you knew the kind of power you were brushing shoulders with today...it would change your useless lives They were lucky the only thing he was hungry for right now was noodles. Speaking of which, Valaias lifted his head and looked around for a particular sign. It should be around here somewhere...

Seig McAndrew FBI Agent Washington DC Main FBI Office Personal Office Company: Alice 'I don't want the world to see me. Cause I don't think they'd understand...' Seig followed Alice, who despite previous information sharing seemed to be in a cheery mood. It was nice to see lights in the darkness. "Thanks for the ride partner, good to know one of us knows what they're doing" Seig's face caught the same smile on Alice's. He followed her into the elevator and raced her to push the third floor button. He had no idea of all the special treatment his room would have. Wait. His room? Did she say room, or rooms? The elevator door slid open to another emaculatly decorated hallway. Seig stretched his legs again, and with loud cracks they sprung back to life for being in the limo for so long. "Onward Captain." OOC: @FleurDeLyssity your post formating is awesome. Thanks for the hard work you have put into it.

Alice, Alice, trying to find Wonderland. Alice made her way down the hall counting silently as she went until she reached a door on the far end, right across from the little alcove that held the ice and vending mechines as well as the door to the fire escape. Loosing her arm from Seig's she opened the door and motioned for him to proceed her in, turning to the bellhop she accepted the trolly offering to return it to the lobby in her own time, and gave him a tip before sending him back off. Alice followed Seig into the room before flicking the dead bolt behind her, she never felt quite comfortable with just a lock at her back, the room was softly carpeted in an off white that looked darker without the lights on. Seeing Seig's slightly dazed expression Alice sighed and slipped around him to turn on the lights and cast light on the smooth dark wood furniature, and two little safe's tucked inoxuously into a corner by a small fridge upon which sat a microwave. The counter to the side held various resteraunt menus and take out menus for the district as well as a full-sized, color, room service menu. The bed was a generous queen-sized affair with plump pillows and a heavy comforter, whose cover was beautifully embriodered in gold on burgundy. A TV was set back on a dresser facing the foot of the bed, a flat screen whose remotes sat beside the bed on the night stand, at the base of a beautifully ornate lamp. Alice walked past a half wall that divided the room and into a smaller area that held a couch and a desk, as well as revealed the windows that led out onto a small balcony decorated with wrought iron furniature. Alice nodded that everything was in order and after checking the strength of the glass, bullet proof, she made sure it was locked and returned to the main part of the room to start unpacking. Her dress bag she hung and tucked her shoes on the shoe rack at the base of the closet before taking out her make-up bag and untying the closure so it rolled down, each compartment opening and closing independantly and offering her easy access to her things. The suitcases got tucked up on the top and she took her remaining things to the bathroom to set them beside the sink.Trying to find a place where her Nightmare walk from her dreams into reality so that she can sleep in peace.
