Mei flung herself at the rope, picking out a spot between two other dorm residents. She spit on the palms of her hands then grabbed the rope. Not too sure she really added much muscle to the whole. The Jiang Shi was most certainly not the strongest Undead. Molan wasn't exactly pleased to hear their dorm hadn't won a test of intellect, but then again... they had some students he questioned having in the dorms. Perhaps it was a given that those might be dragging them down a bit. He sighed before staring at their next task, a grimace showing.
...great.
Still, he'd just have to make do. Even if this wasn't his forte at all. So as they all moved out to the field he took his position at the rope, still rather grumpy about the whole outfit and the event in general. But he had to do it... because.

The tatzel immediately looked for two things upon entering: a pair of horns and a pair of fluffly kin-like ears. Demi and West were sure to be around here somewhere; Demi likely somewhere along the same rope she was attempting to grasp. She began to pull when her eyes locked onto her personal target. Akakios... hadn't done that great on the test. But it was good enough for HIM at least. Still, the next test seemed more up his alley with just pulling at a rope. So as they filed out he took up his spot and, despite his size, he could at least pull his own weight.
The rope may have been sort of booby trapped, but he was lucky enough to get a fairly safe section that didn't tear up his hands too much. It was too bad he couldn't do this in his larger dog form. Grabbing it with his teeth and pulling would likely have been more effective than him pulling as he was.

Simply wasn't great with tests, she wasn't the best at focusing on anything. But if you gave her a simple, veeeery very simple task. One that just required using as much strength for a single goal as possible. Then, then she could shine.
So this test, merely needing to pull and yank at a rope, was right up her alley. Her tail flicked excitedly as she grabbed a section of the rope before bracing her small frame against the incoming offense of the other teams as she waited for the 'go.' And then as the signal was given she tugged with all her might, proving that despite everything else. She made for a good monster.

Now this was the real event (in Hel’s opinion, which was very important and the only one that mattered). Sure, due to her race, she should have been more knowledge inclined, right? Well, wrong. Tests of strength were her forte. That’s why when she grabbed the rope and started to pull, it was with all her strength and honor. She (or rather, her dorm) needed to win this. Tomoko was not a mighty demon, but hell forbid she wasn't gonna give it a try anyways. Even if rope made her hands hurt and she was pretty sure she saw the school secretary tangled up in the ropes up there.

Shehk was not the mightiest, she'd confess, but it was worth a shot to at least pretend to be. Sometimes. Maybe. UGH this rope was gonna pull the flesh off of her hands and it was hard to get that stuff back when you were dead.

Pulling things! Feats of strength was totally her thing, so Sura didn't even need to think about it when told she just had to put all her strength into pulling on a rope.

Em, tug-o-war. AJ knew everything normal can become abnormal when it comes to Amityville. Everyone knew tug-o-war is a game between two groups, pulling one rope. Yes. One rope only. It wasn't logical to have five groups pulling the same rope together, however, don't forget it's Amityvile, everything can happen. Looking at different parts of the rope, AJ thought a bit. He didn't want to get his hands hurt, it would hinder his baking practice. Therefore, he scaled his arms up before holding the rope. Head also helped by catching the rope with its teeth.
