Finn gritted his teeth behind his oh-too-casual smile, eyes narrowing just slightly. "A giant skeleton is hardly a god, ******** face." He was trying to keep his tone light, and managed to succeed, as though what he was witnessing right now didn't bother him in the slightest. Inwardly, however, he was snarling, and so, surprisingly, was Trynt.
Maybe they were more alike then Finn had thought, either that or the wyvern got riled up easily when his owner got pissed off.
Never mind, it would just make Fini's victory all the sweeter, because yes, he still believed she had this, without a doubt.

A spark of fire flashed in her eyes briefly. Whether it was the laugh or knowing that he'd wanted to reduce her to her knees was hard to say. Whichever it was, Fini was quickly on her feet again as he fell forward, but didn't go down. Damnit! Something about knowing he'd succeeded in some small little victory of the sexes irked her.
And then her a** was smacked and there was a lovely string of curses that escaped as she rubbed her butt. "That," she said with a huff, "is not for you to play with."
She let Finn banter with Jack about being a stupid ********. Meanwhile, she stepped within his personal space again to smack him in the face. Or, y'know, attempt to. If she could reach it.

What could he say, he had a way of pissing people off without really trying. Guess he wasn't allowed to joke around anymore. Killjoys.
"Dunno, man," he said to Finn, trying to move his head out of the way of her said and getting some spiky slaps along his neck and shoulder (which, without clothes, felt more like bee stings). He retaliated with a push of the pommel to try and drive her away. "Skeletons are pretty cool. And I heard he was one classy b*****d."

Her attempt to smack him in the face obviously failed, but hey. She got close, right?! Fini tried not to show her wince when he shoved her back with the pommel of his sword. Yeah. She was starting to fade. Goddamn tournament.
"Jack! Excuse you. Watch where you're shoving." Fini grinned, saying ******** the sharp and pointy things and going in for a good old shoulder to the gut.
So long as she didn't fall on her a** in the process.

Jack had no choice; he absolutely fell over from the force, hands forgoing his weapon to try and mitigate his fall into the half-dried mud. At least this time he was on his back--now he had layered both sides of his body.
What he wanted to say was <********>. What came out instead was, "Uncle." He lazily raised a hand in a cease and desist motion before it flopped on his chest.
(( You did your best, )) Owain said patiently, still sounding worried nevertheless. Jack was too tired to fend him off. Next stop, bad fashion trip . . .
He took a breath and coughed. "Let me just wallow here a bit," he muttered, eyes closing.

[Spectator]
Nevada had to really enjoy Fini's sass. She hoped she got to know the girl better, because she needed one of those sassy girlfriends. Once the battle finished, she watched Jack fall and stay fallen.
Down with the giant. The small satisfaction that he loss didn't last long as she stood up, brushing off imaginary dust from her coat.
It would've been too easy to go over and congratulate Fini, but since both Jack and Finn were present, the mist hunter thought better of it tomorrow. For now, She still wanted to blow some steam off and headed towards the abandoned town's basketball court.
She'd shoot it out until she was tired.

She was so glad this was over. SO. Glad. And so done with the mud, but she didn't go bolting out of it just yet. A small chuckle escaped at Jack's defeat. Fini crouched down next to him, drawing a frowning face on his stomach this time, before she gave his shoulder a squeeze. "So Jack. Remind me again what it was you were bragging about before?" She said with a grin. "Something about 'no Sun being able to defeat you'?"
Okay. Okay she wouldn't tease him anymore. Not yet. "Oh don't be a baby!" Fini shoved at him playfully. "You lost. I won. The giant has fallen. Now don't let everyone see you mope or people will talk."
Standing, she caught sight of Nevada leaving, waving to the mist hunter before she turned a big - and maybe tired - grin on Finn. She'd won!

Finn scoffed a laugh, his grin turning vicious before saying. "Well then, you and the overgrown skeleton have even less in common. Though by all means, if you want to be one with the freaks, I'm sure once the portals or reopened they'll welcome you with open tentacles." But that was enough chatter for now, because in just a matter of moments, Fini was barreling into Jack with her shoulder, and the tall man was falling over backwards into the mud. There was a sharp, sweet sense of elation that rose in the moon trainee when he saw it, and he took a step forward, craning over the ropes to get a better look at how the oh-so-mighty had fallen. And then, with some amount of distaste, once he saw that Jack was indeed finished, he ducked under the rope and began picking his way through the mud, trying to at least keep himself on the dryer bits of ground. "Wallowing is for pigs. Get up. You look pathetic." As soon as he said it, he cast a quick glance towards where Nevada had been watching the fight, and hissed down to Jack. "And stop giving them the satisfaction of seeing you acting like a ******** baby." He carefully reached out with one booted foot to nudge the other man briefly in the ribs, and then sighed. "Second place is for losers, but at least you got past the first round, so suck it up." But Jack had gotten enough of his attention now. Too much, really, considering the present company happened to be a gorgeous woman who had just won the tournament and deserved a reward. When she grinned at him, he grinned right back, though as always his eyes stayed unaffected by any emotions felt, and he turned towards her, opening his arms. That's right, Fini, covered in mud though you may be, at this point Finn had just stopped caring, and was willing to have you throw yourself into his arms. Or collapse in them. Whichever she felt like doing really.

Jack opened his eyes so that Fini could have the full satisfaction of seeing them roll. "Watch the shoving," he grumbled, his shoulder throbbing from her last hit.
Give who the satisfaction, though? Nevada? He didn't care that she saw him like this; if anything that might satisfy her enough to leave him alone. And if he gave a rat's a** what Finn or Fini or Abbi thought about it, he wouldn't have acted out in the first place. Hell, Peyton could have been here and watched and he wouldn't have given a damn. Look how the mighty bad guy has fallen, everyone. Come gather round, take pictures, say a few choice words so he could eat crow. Get it out of your system. The only person around he would have felt an inkling about was off somewhere with someone else doing who knew what when she should have been here trying to crack a joke about how he ought to work on his Jack Attack or some stupid s**t like that.
God, even thinking about it stung. p***y.
"Like you have any right to talk about pathetic, f***ot," Jack snapped at Finn, lacking the usual humorous undertone. "You couldn't even make it past your first ******** round. Hell, Abbi did better than you." Grimacing, he forced himself up and off the ground, mud peeling off his body like flakes; Fini's frowny face managed to remain somehow.
"Go make dead eyed faces at your new toy. I'm out." And with that Jack stalked off to retrieve his clothes and nab what he managed to win before the weather got worse.

Her lips twitched and she shoved him once more, for good measure, but much more gently. "C'mon, get off your a**. You and I both need to just find a bottle of Aspirin and a... semi-lukewarm shower." Because hot shower was only a dream right now.
Finn's arrival was a pleasant surprise. She hadn't thought he'd come out into he mud - though she did notice he avoided the wetter areas. Of course his words were along similar lines to hers for Jack. But in a much more Finn style. Fini just rolled her eyes at both of them. "Finn play nice." She said with a sigh. And then was quite tempted to knock Jack right back into the mud. "Jack... really?" Oh the pair of them! She just shook her head, standing as he did - geezus did her legs ache - and shot him a look. "I'll show you who's a toy." She muttered.
But Jack's babyish ways were not her problem anymore. In fact as soon as she saw Finn open his arms for her, that was all she needed. Fini walked... or limped, over to Finn and threw her arms around him, tilting her head up to let him see the victorious grin she wore. "I totally kicked his a**." Sorry Jack. "And I think you and I should go celebrate." She paused, looking between them with a sigh. "After we're no longer covered in mud."

Finn actually started laughing, because Jack was being ridiculous, so he deserved that as a response more then angered words or sympathy. "Congrats on beating up opponents that were winded after not having a bye, and one little girl. At least when I lost I did it with dignity and didn't flop in the mud to sulk." There was amusement in his tone, with not even the hint of maliciousness. Jack had had a rough day, he got that, and he wasn't here to try and make it worse, but to put his behaviour into perspective. "I'll let you know when your term of fabulous fashion trending can begin, and which night I'll be available to buy you and Ripley that drink." He wrapped his arms around Fini as soon as she was near, smiling at her, eyes almost predatory in a way. "I think I'm going to be busy tonight. Maybe for the next couple of nights." Toy? No, he didn't consider Fini to be just that, anymore, but the comment was shrugged off. She could defend herself, and the dead eye thing....it was nothing he hadn't heard before. Leaning down to press a kiss to her forehead, Jack was completely dismissed from his mind as he stalked off, in favour of other, much more exciting notions. "Hmmmm yes, I think you deserve more then just whatever little trinkets you'll be rewarded for this. But I agree, we could both use some cleaning up, first. Do you want me to carry you, yet?" He was still amused, but it was n a more subdued tone.

After the initial elation over all those glorious muscles had dwindled and faded to more worry over who would win the fight, Abbi resorted back to covering her eyes. This was just not fair! Her sort-of-maybe-not-really-only-sometimes-friend wasn't doing so hot, but Miss Fini was doing well and she had been so nice and even if the teen hadn't talked to her she would be happy that she won! But it was all over rather quickly and once again Abbi peeked out from behind her fingers to find... Jack lying in the mud. A worried squawk was her first instinct and the second was to trip her way over to the ropes. Grabbing them in both hands she slid to a halt, still unwilling to get herself muddy. A shout was about to be tossed out, but before she could ask if Jack was alright, everyone else had their say first. Standing there with a worried expression and mouth squeezed shut, Abbi watched the scene devolve into bickering. This was supposed to be fun... What had happened since Ripley's fight when they'd all sung for him together? With a small shout of his name after his retreating form, Abbi took a few steps after Jack only to turn around and pout at Finn. "You didn't have to be so mean!" She told him with a ruffle of her person to show her anger. Even if Jack had used the girl's victory as a means for insult, even if that realization had made her flinch because she wasn't good enough to be compared to anything nice, he had been kind earlier. If only for a moment. "You lost your first fight and you still get a prize. I don't think Jack gets to be that lucky." Abbi added in a softer voice to Finn, shooting Fini a guilty look for essentially equating her to just something to be won. It wasn't that, but the teen couldn't help but feel that way, even a little. "Congratulations Fini. You did really well and totally deserved to win. I'm glad you won, I think you're like... Super cool." She was quick to tack that on, flushing a little before she huffed once more and turned, doing her best to chase down Jack on his way out. It probably wouldn't happen given the way his walk could outpace her easily, but Abbi was undaunted enough to at least call after him a number of times as she ran from the arena.
