"Is that so?" She turned her head at Chelsea and chuckled, and the chuckle deepened by Evan's comment. "Well, it's a right you can certainly reserve if you want, after the-." She clapped her hands as Jack finished the battle, "And it looks like we have a winner anyways." She pointed down at Jack.
"Maybe you should comfort your friend though first..." She looked over to Milo and clapped for him too.
Somewhere, she didn't like that Finn was getting chummy with Chelsea but quelched the urge to push his face away from the girl's line of sight.
/Why are you being so nice..../
Because I don't know if he deserved the attitude I gave him.....
Augh this was too complicated. And somewhere, the lazy smile was starting to show some strain.

And with that strike, the last bits of the shield that protected Milo shattered. It felt weird, like losing a second skin he wasn't totally aware he had; it almost felt like he could feel the wind whipping around them a little more. He shuddered, both from the realization of perhaps that and how much everything tingled. And just that he had lost. And Milo felt his body stagger for a moment but thankfully not completely fall down. Nothing was there to help him up if he did, though, Koume Shizuka had vanished from his hands. Perhaps from the lose of that fear stuff or maybe from being pissed off at him. She didn't seem to want to speak to him. Which... was actually okay.
"Aa, man.. so that's what that feels like. Rough." He let out a cough, rubbing at his chest again and got to standing upright again. Milo shook his head as the wind continued to make a mess of his hair and held his hand out to Jack with a smile, "Good fight, brah...." Please don't squeeze so hard if you returned the favor, he was achey all over.
And then he realized something, enough to make his chipper attitude falter for a moment. He looked over to where Chel was and gave her an apologetic shrug, "Sorry, Wahine... failed in my mission."

SPECTATOR
Chel spot Jack a wink, but her attentions were on Milo. Poor thing- she knew the sting of defeat. With a sigh, she kissed Nevada on the side of the head and said, "Be right back. Gotta show him some love, y'know?"
She then pranced across the distance she was from Milo to his lovely side. "I know it sucks man. But you still got ice cream. And your pal Chel." She also had a solid pair of arms for hugging if he needed it.
Maybe a little more if he played fair.

Phew. That one had been getting a little closer to defeat than he liked. "Good fight," he said in turn as he desummoned Owain, finding it hard not to smile as the giant whooped like an excited five year old in a toy store at the victory. Jack gripped Milo's hand firmly and shook. "I wouldn't call it a loss if you get a girls' attention . . . brah."
Right, he was never using that word again, unless it was to speak of a particular article of feminine undergarments.
"Hope you save me some ice cream~" he added with a lazy wave to Chel as he moved towards Nevada and one future dead man walking. "Well aren't you my little lucky charm?" he greeted Nevada with a grin, not tpo subtly positioning himself to slowly but surely force Finn out; dude, you just macked on Fini, back off. "Winner get a kiss from the pretty lady?"

He didn't hear anything crack or break, but as expected the handshake that met his was pretty strong. Milo tried not to react, just smiled for the most part and then laughed, "Haha, well if you put it that way..." That wasn't so bad after all. A good fight, not a complete slaughter and a pretty cute girl coming to console him. And no, Jack, Pidgin just wasn't your language.
So, the trainee gave Jack a little head nod of farewell and turned his attention to the pink haired girl. His smile still remained even though her words hit him a little, "Ya, strings a little." He rubbed at his chest again, "physically and a little mentally. But it was a good fight, ya?" Getting ice cream sounded pretty great right around now. Maybe a nice... shower... wait, no, unless he could sneak upstairs and not use the basement one.
But hey, if Chel was going to offer a hug, he could totally play up the sympathy plea with big bright green puppy dog eyes.

Finn knew Jack could be charming, and he also knew what a lie it was. He still wasn't about to point that out, however, because bros, and as much as he and Jack might have bantered back and forth and thrown insults at each other, and went out of their way to irritate the ever loving ******** out of each other as well, that didn't mean he was going to be a complete c**k blocking a*****e. Not that it wasn't at least tempting. Especially after the Fini thing during his own match, but really, Finn had pretty much sorted that situation all out. In any case, the battle was over, the conquering giant had won, and Finn had already rose out of his seat as soon as the other man approached, offering it up freely with a gesture and a winning smile. It was a dangerous smile that Jack should have recognized, though he wasn't sure the giant man would care if he knew what laid behind that knowing look. It might have saved Nevada, if she knew him, if she had bothered to get to know Finn at all beyond what she thought that she knew. As it was, there was no love lost between them, and he was not about to stand in the way of true romance. Though he couldn't just wander away without some last parting comment, directed not towards Jack, but towards Nevada, who he could only guess was still either completely unaware, or a terrible friend. He didn't really give a s**t either way. "Been an absolute pleasure to be in your company again, Darling. I'm so glad the little bit of information I left you with in the hallway hasn't soured your sunny disposition at all. I would hate for it to make you worry too much for your roommates well being. Well, you two children have a great time now. Oh and don't worry too much about his short comings. He makes up for it in charm, just like you said. That's all a girl really cares about, right?" Yes that was a joke about d**k size, though now he figured she was probably too stupid to get it. A waggle of fingers, and Finn was well on his way to seeking out Fini, to see if she was yet feeling rested up after her own battle.

Nevada stiffened, regardless of Jack's maneuvering to block out Finn. It was the words that caught her attention, having one green eye narrowing on his.
"I'm still looking for him Finn, and unfortunately for me...and yourself, Stormy isn't as forthcoming with information like you are. Which means I guess I just get to harass you a bit longer doesn't it?" Which meant though Finn told her that Stormy's ex was on the Island, all Nevada had to go off about Stormy's ex was that he was...unsavory in the way he treated her. There was never a name, or a description given to her. Just the knowledge that Stormy for whatever reason didn't tell her about (Jack), kind of hurt Nevada in a way. It was the same kind of pain as her twin telling her to leave her alone. Like she was unneeded...
How was she suppose to protect her best friend when the only guy she could vent on was actually a innocent bystander....still an a*****e but not the most harmful of the two. But thinking over the meeting, Finn didn't have many friends on the Island, and more of them new rather than old. Plus she didn't do much into her research but she was pretty sure Jack was the only one he knew off island, which if that was the case then Jack would be -
Her face screwed up, and any suspicion was wiped away by his insult at Jack.
"How are you even friends with him Jack." She narrowed her eye on Finn's retreating back before huffing. Like a riled cat, it took her a moment to relax back into a lazy grace and smiling at Jack, as if Finn didn't raise her hackles by just being Finn. "Ah the flattery again, Well I suppose I don't mind being a lucky charm..." She chuckled at him before leaning a bit forward, her hands clasped in her lap.
"A kiss for the winner hmmm...." She rolled her eye up in thought before shrugging. "Sure handsome, I think you've earned it after that fight." Although she made no move towards him, if he really wanted it, he'd have to come and get it himself.

Jack gave a long-suffering sigh, one he did not need to fake for Nevada's sake, as Finn said his piece and left. So, not only had Finn known her prior, but he also hadn't mentioned the relationship he'd had with Stormy. Great. Well, he could give some credit to the guy's choice for discretion . . . "Told you before: I am awful at making friends," he replied with a shake of his head. "And what companions I do find can sometimes border on the . . . unsavory. In the future, if he bothers you, do let me know."
Abbi's wounded animal face cropped up, which almost made him sigh some more. "Friends". Right.
"It isn't flattery if it ends up to be true." His eyes glittered as she accepted the offer, surveying Nevada with a calculating look. Then, slowly, he bent his head and lifted a hand, cupping the underside of her jaw and ear to lift her face--and he pressed his lips uncharacteristically gently to her bandages for only a second before letting her go.
"Hope you're there to see me win, sweet thing~ Or catch me if I fall." And with a lopsided grin Jack turned to leave so he could retrieve his coat before it was blown away.

"Well, Every one of them needs a good friend like you Jack." Nevada was completely sure that a guy like Jack could not be the terrible ex that Stormy hinted at. And just because he was friends with Finn, shouldn't ruin his credibility either.
Obviously this side of Nevada was very naive.
"No worries, I can handle him." She smiled again, "Unfortunately for Finn, I'm persistently much more annoying than he is.." She'd have to wait to see how it panned out...as of yet, they had more of a stand off distance between each other. Something she thought would do well in the long run.
She tilted her head a bit, waiting for the touch of lips to hers with an almost lazy indifference. Instead he tugged her face upwards, a gentle caress against her skin that actually stirred a curiosity.
Her eye widened at the gently brush of his lips against her bandages, her heart somehow going for a low steady thrum to a very...very annoyingly loud, wow could he hear it, kind of thump.
Her mouth kind of went slack, and the thought's didn't come at first until she reeled herself in. Soon enough that before he left, she managed to get out...
"I'll be there handsome." She pursued her lips thoughtfully and sat back, with all intent on her image remaining unshakable. And when he was gone, she brought her hand up to the bandages and touched them gently.
What a curious one, Jack.
