Nevada was listening intently to Lance, and taking note that it was best to maybe bring the idea to H again when Aria dropped in.
Literally.
Her eye widened at the leader as they were whisked into a portal to somewhere hidden on deus.
and violent vegetables.
"So just have to think of this as harvesting....okay Boss." Nevada summoned Leroy and started shooting the moving vegetables.

Yes. I wish I brought a bladed weapon of some sort in order to cut through these. Or a bat. Aria side-stepped one, flaming it in passing only to trip and gracelessly fall flat on her face. Spitting curses and fire, she scrambled back up. Think Edith would let me borrow her's?
The weapon's tone was icy.

She was right pleased to be taking out the evil creatures known as carrots.
Those were definitely her least favorite vegetable of the whole garden.

Years and years . . . Her idea sounded so weak now, and she wished she knew how to take Lance's laughter. For now, Stormy just nodded and tried to hide herself again, looking at Nevada curiously when she mentioned researching the Haunted House--and then broke into a loud squeak when their leader rolled in. She barely had time to so much as salute and greet Aria before she was being ushered into the portal.
A garden. The fresh smell of dirt, the dankness of the cave, the knowledge that they had food growing under everyone's noses . . . Stormy's stomach grumbled hungrily, though she was glad to be vested of food when she saw the mutated monstrosities running amok. Swallowing, she summoned the greatsword and followed after Nevada.
"Carrots are supposed to be good for eyesight," she noted, apparently meant as a joke. When she swung, however, the mutated carrots ducked down, letting her cut through several of the actually normal ones instead. "Crap!"

Nevada adjusted her shooting glasses and gave Stormy a peeved look.
"Carrots could give me a new eye and I still wouldn't eat them."
She rested Leroy on her hip and fired the charge that had been built up, a large blast emitting from her gun before dying down.
"Plus I don't like fried food as much either..."

She shrank at the look, stepping away to give both Nevada and her weapon some berth for their attack; hopefully she didn't catch the wince. "Sorry. They're not all that bad, carrots," Stormy mumbled, ducking in to cut down two of the disgusting byproducts of good food and Fear. Maybe the joke had been in too much bad taste. "But fried food's not good for you anyway . . ."

Nevada saw the flicker of a wince and apology from stormy and instantly felt bad. Dropping the gun down, she pushed the shooter glasses up and snorted.
Only one way to attempt to make this better.
"How about this, you find a way to make carrots delicious Stormy, and I'll eat my words...literally." She smiled at the girl, attempting to joke now too. "And if my vision improves, I'll have to bow down to you and your godly carrot ways."
And as such, she missed the carrots completely and hit what looked like a watermelon.
Oh god not the watermelon....

N-No, not the watermelon! On the inside, Stormy had creys and sent off the spirit of the delicious fruit into the aether.
"Would you?" she asked, lightening at the offer (thoroughly unaware she had guilt tripped her friend). It was getting easier to be normal now that she was in action. "But I'm not a very good cook . . ." Stormy mused to herself as she cut down another carrot and tossed another to the ground in the aftermath. "Could you imagine, though? What if your eye sight got, like, super intense? Like hit a fly with a bullet in the air intense? Then you'd be the Majestic Mist Marksman!"

"I would." She slammed her glasses back down again. "Well, I am pretty sure anything that isn't MRE is restaurant quality Stormy. and I'm too lazy to cook myself soooooooooooo......" Yep she was leaving it to you bestie.
at the mention of super vision....Nevada perked a little...
"I'd start living up to the name hawkeye...No s**t, I'd be eagle eye." She started to pose dramatically, "Eagle Eye, the woman who can shoot the distance."
As she said this though, she ended up shooting apples from one of the tree's.
"Oh my god I am so sorry."

"Perfect!" Stormy smiled brightly at the pose and did so with her, inspired to do a dramatic swing that cut a swarth through the carrots soon after. "Eagle Eye, alliteration! So what would that make me~?"
Actually, upon seeing how she shot the apple out of the tree, maybe Stormy ought to be quiet so she could concentrate . . .

" Laaaadies!" Lance rolled up to the two Mist hunters-in-training, attempting to look suave despite the radish speared on the end of his weapon's point. "Good work so far! I couldn't help to overhear, but if you're in need of a cook...?" The division assistant trailed off, suggestively wiggling his eyebrows as he speared another vegetable without looking. The movement in and of itself caused a few of the vegetables to scatter, one even going so far as to bounce and roll as far away as possible out of sight. "The stuff that's still moving isn't too bad as long as you remember to cut out all the eyes'n'whatnot. You two weren't around to meet her, but the previous Moon division assistant? Her name was Julie. Kind of quiet, kind of shy," he paused to sweep his weapon wide, burning several animated vegetables and singeing a once artfully placed shrubbery. "Anyway, she was known for cooking up different things. Mainly questionable stuff, but some of the things she made turned out fantastic. She was the one who figured out that this stuff was still edible. It just comes with a kick of Fear, so you gotta be careful not to each too much." He raised his lance, holding it in both hands before bringing it down to cleave a vegetable in half. He continued. "Funny thing though. Sometimes at night around the kitchens you can smell someone baking something, but no one's there. If you're lucky you can find food on the counter, but the question is: would you eat it?" The hunters were given a sort of Look before he shrugged. "There's something for you two to consider and look into some odd dark night at least. Anyway, keep it up and don't let any vegetables escape! We don't need Aria sulking about once her secret hideaway is discovered by non-Mists, yeah? And for the record, this is my first time here too. Later!" With a broad wink, the assistant cruised off and ran over several more vegetables in the process.
