And that was enough. She couldn't bite back the startled cry as her shield broke (as if somehow a miracle should have happened and allowed her continue through sheer force of will) and staggered backward, embedding the greatsword into the sand so she could lean on it and catch her breath, legs threatening to let her fall to the sand. For a few moments it was just the sound of her panting and the wintery, familiar hisses of Thane's disappointment and disapproval.

And then the trainee pulled herself up and tacked on a bright smile for the public. "Whew! Nice," she congratulated him as she wiped at her face.

< < You disgust me, > > the dracolich spat, and she smiled all the more.

"For a Moon hunter, sometimes I felt like you were hitting like a Sun. Good fight!" She was shivering from the rain, and her fingers twitched as she offered Jason a handshake.

It was good to see she didn't appear to upset about the defeat, but it seemed she was utterly exhausted.

"A-are you alright?" He asked with concern as she wiped her face. He began to worry she might just collapse on the ground. "O-oh, thankyou. Your sword techniques were quite strong as well." He then replied, wanting to give her something to be proud of. "W-with a little more technique, I think you'd be able to unleash some powerful blows, and some fast ones as well."

Taking her offered hand, he shook it firmly and then stepped closer. "Would you like me to help you back to the labs? Or somewhere you can rest at least." Considering he helped to get her in such a state.
