Candace thought nothing odd of Stormy's silence, affectionately toying with the girl's hair and offering the other unfamiliar girl a grin. "Hey~."
The last shot was fired and Candace looked up again. They were shaking hands..oh! Oh awesome! She let go of Stormy and threw her arms up in the air. "YES! Good job, Gale~!"

Ami was not the only one with a dreamy expression. She'd been listening to them and thinking and therefore had missed the fact that Gale won at first.
She should have at least said bye to Fini, or asked Candace how her match went, or been more, well, active. But the rain had a way of coaxing her into a zen-like inner isolation, and it had been so long since she had walked in that weather; not to mention someone ruffling her hair felt oddly soothing. By the time Stormy came out of her daze, the Sun hunter was gone and Candace was cheering (the abrupt noise was what had brought her back in the first place).
Smoothing her hair out, she pulled the hood of her rain coat over her head once more and walked, pacing herself so that the guys could finish their handshake before she arrived. "Nice fight, you two," Stormy greeted them with a smile, acting as if she hadn't been listening to them talk about reasons. "An epic battle of the white bangs!"
