BOSS BATTLE - FINAL ROUND PAGE 3

Fizzle had thought he wasn't going to be able to keep fighting as the Beedrill came for him while his defenses were down, but thankfully a tough little pidgey managed to send the pokemon packing before he could knock the Charmander out.

"Wow, thanks!" Fizzle called happily, though there was little time for chatter. It seemed like the last of the Beedrill were getting frantic, which made them all the more dangerous. Or maybe he had just met the one super pissed off beedrill from the lot of them.

In any case, there was no time to rest- they needed to wrap things up!

Brynd was ready for this fight to be over. Everyone was working so hard, and he was sure that they were going to get to the end of this mess soon! With the fire types doing a bulk of the damage, and the Beedrill looking weary from the assault by all the pokemon, he was sure they would take this super strong monster of a dungeon boss down soon enough! It was good that the thing was not straight up murdering them but it had to be strong.

It was taking so much abuse!

"We can do this! We can do this!" Bulbasaur heard himself chanting exuberantly, while running around and trying to find another good angle to let his vine whips out without hurting anyone else. The last thing he wanted to do was hit someone on this large team of brave adventurers and take them out.

If everyone kept it up at this rate, the Beedrills will be defeated with a few more good hits. Ridley gave a weak smile at this, but it was soon wiped from his face when another Beedrill attacked him. It was getting harder and harder to dodge the attacks, even with so little remaining.

Mustering onto all the strength he had left, he made sure if he was going to go out soon, he was going to go out with a bang as he attacked another Beedrill.

Fizzle saw a bulbasaur not too far away, trying his hardest against a type he was not strong against. It was a admirable charge, and he seemed pretty tough for a grass type, though Fizzle had to wonder what had possessed a grass-type to enter the dungeon in the first place! He must really enjoy exploring.

That, or he just wanted to beat up Geodude.

Mustering what remained of his Stamina, Fizzle sent another ember the way of the wild Beedrill, hoping they would soon get the message and leave the group of explorers alone. He was so tired. It felt like he was going to sleep for a month once the whole thing was over.

Brynd could see that the Beedrill was weakening, especially after the fire types attacks. They were doing a lot of the heavy lifting, but everyone was pulling their weight. It was heartening to see everyone working together, and Bulbasaur leaped back after he tackled it to let someone else rush in and, hopefully, finish the damn thing off.

The Beedrill were down to the last few. He beamed, though tired, knowing that if they really worked hard at it, they could beat the bees. With an eager bark, while taking an attack, he charged the remaining Beedrills with an attack.

One... Final... Attack.... Zoë, having taken a quick breather, forced herself to get to her goal— defeating the beedrill once and for all. She gulped down the rest of the water in her bottle, refreshing herself and giving her the strength to push herself and reach new heights.

She quickly breathed in and out, focusing..... And then, lastly, finally letting go and hitting the bees that were left. KAPOW!! Direct hit.

The Conductor
Finally, it is quiet. Your opponents lie scattered, as still as statues. The lava churns below you. It should be boiling in here, but instead, you feel strangely cold. Further away, Divya and Idan stir. "What happened..." Idan groans. His eyes bulge when he sees the wreckage all around you. "W-what did you do?"

"Kicked a**, it looks like." Divya says. She tosses a grin your way. "Good job, rookie."

Hesitantly, Idan approaches one of the bodies. "What's wrong with them..."

The Beedrill shoots into the air, and Idan rears back, trying to position himself in front of Divya. Sparks fly off his fur, but they short out as he realizes the Beedrill isn't poised to attack -- instead, it hangs there, strangely limp, encased with blue light. The others rise after it, dragged like puppets towards a newly formed pillar of light. From it, a tall figure materializes, a Gardevoir, but she looks somehow... wrong. The same crystal growths mottle her body, and the crystal impaling her torso seems to pulsate with strange energy.

"Explorers of Armonia." A terrible voice echoes in your mind. The Beedrill are consumed by the pillar's blinding light. It pulls you towards it, too, beckoning you closer... "This is your end."

You will have ONE WEEK to defeat Gardevoir. The outcome of this battle will heavily influence the next event! This is open to everyone, regardless of whether or not you participated in the CYOA or the last round! You may only use ONE of your Pokemon!

If you participated in the last round, you have the option to swap out your Pokemon. The new Pokemon will enter the battle with full HP. If you decide not to switch, your HP is fully restored, but you are not allowed to change your moveset!

How to Battle

ღ YOU MAY CHOOSE A TEMPORARY MOVESET TO USE FOR THIS BATTLE. You may only choose moves that your Pokemon learns naturally up to level 15.

ღ Each Pokemon, regardless of level, starts with 50 HP and rolls two ten-sided dice to attack. Subtract 8 from the number you rolled to get your total damage. Special attacks do HALF the damage!

ღ Every time you use a move or an item, you use a turn, and Gardevoir will automatically damage you for 10 HP each turn. Take as many turns as you can before you're knocked out! Status effects do not work on Gardevoir, but you may heal yourself for 10 HP if you can find a suitable move.

ღ YOU MAY USE ITEMS YOU COLLECTED FROM DUNGEONS. Oran Berries heal you for 10 HP, while Sticks and Rocks will always deal 10 damage without needing to roll. Once you use an item, it's gone, so choose carefully!

ღ Your goal is to work together to eliminate Gardevoir before time runs out! All participants will gain EXP and, if you can beat her in time, will be entered into a raffle to win Gardevoir!

Ridley was happy when the two leaders of the other Pokemon finally seemed to wake up and gather everyone. He thanked them when they had healed everyone, giving a refreshing stretch. "Ah, that feels great."

The Riolu looked around at all the scattered insects, frowning a bit. It was sad that they had to attack them like that, but it was for self-defense. Though the Beedrill didn't seem to be acting normally, now that he thought about it. He pushed it out of his mind and looked to the other Pokemon that battled. He was just about to congratulate them on a job well done, when one of the Beedrills suddenly rose into the air. "What the-!" He exclaimed as, soon, the other Beedrills started to lift into the air. He watched them cautiously, poising himself for another attack.

He remained silent as the bees were pulled into another pillar of light and soon replaced by another Pokemon he's never seen before. Whoever they were, they were not happy and wanted them gone. Glaring at the threat, he snorted as he said nothing and charged at the Gardevoir with his attack

Alright! They had totally kicked those Bee's butts and now everything would be good and maybe she could follow them out of here too? The two pokemon that seemed to be leading the group stirred and awoke. Nori's cheeks sparked a little in excitement at this.

And then her ears flattened as a new foe appeared. One that was kind of scary and much bigger then the Beedrill. She was a very confused Pichu but... it was threatening them!

"I won't let you defeat us!" She squeaked, launching a Thundershock at the strange Gardvevoir.

Except she missed.

Kilian felt rather accomplished after Divya's praising words. He stretched, feeling a little exhausted as he watched Idan approach on of the Beedrill. Once it lifted with the others, Kilian picked himself back up and became defensive. He stared down the Gardevoir as he prepared to battle... again. This boss looked much stronger! The eevee crouched down but only briefly before he gave the Gardevoir a quick attack. The Boss didn't seem to even be bothered with his little moves and slashed back at him.

Lenore was never really much of a fighter - not really. She was in the Gracidea Trading Association for a reason, after all. Yet, still, when a pokemon was threatening those of Armonia, she had to step in and do her thing. The other pokemon couldn't do it alone. Some had already fought a rather nasty Beedrill, and so she couldn't just sit by any longer and do nothing. "I'll help where I can!" the little eevee found herself telling the others who were already engaging the Gardevoir in battle. They would all have to work together to manage to defeat this strange pokemon, and she wasn't going down without a fight. While she had the chance, Lenore rushed in at the Psychic type, aiming to hit her with a tackle attack.
