My mom definitely has more power. She has this air of authority to her and plus she has a very sharp mind and has adapted to living in the US faster than my dad has.

When my parents still lived together, I kind of had the feeling that they both had a sort of unspoken agreement that they would both share the power evenly. But as their marriage started to wane, my mom started to be more controlling because she grew more...upset.
Now I live with my dad, so he holds onto all domains of power. xD

my matha!omg she decides everything and if you disrespect her she'll get u back.she straight armed me ounce,bloody hurt.Dad has no power whatsoever...but my mum isn"t mean or a b***h,shes like one of my girlfriends...shes so cool^^

I say the parents have more power in the house. because they pay for everything and take care of us.

Not Asian, but I'll take a logical guess. biggrin
I think the father is, because, isn't the father responsible for what happens to the family? Isn't he suppose to be the one to stand up for the family? I mean, I know the mother and other members of the family will look after one another, but it seems to me that the dad is more dominant.

usually it's the dad... but since i came from a broken family, it became my mama but as i grew older, i became in charge...
but now, in my own family, we usually decide together... if our opinions conflicts, we find a resolution...
