Wil had been silent on the issue regarding Hector letting his friend handle his duties. He'd even turned away to go with Rath and had ignored Roy's comment about his condition. However when it became clear that these two were going to follow the guild captain around and hound him when he was trying to organize an entire army to get moving the Sniper decided to get involved.
"Rath, keep going... I'll handle this, meet me at the stables in a bit? I'm gonna need help saddling a horse"
Stopping with both Hector and Roy, Wil stared for a moment and sighed deeply. "Hey, errr... Hector.. Gotta say this is pretty weird seeing you... half my age and all... ha,ha! And Roy, when I left Wolt with your mother and father you were just a baby! Funny how it all works out... Anyways I need you two to listen to me for a second alright? Roy, my circumstances were different than Hector's, when I joined we were on our way to what was thought to be a simple meet up, Rath and I both thought we'd have more time to recover and as such he had time to waste catching up an old friend."
He smiled sadly at Hector.
"Now the situation has changed drastically, our allies are nowhere to be seen, not a single one came to meet us and no messengers have come, do you understand the amount of stress Rath must be under? I heard the man we were supposed to meet was even a close friend of his... we do not have a single solider to spare in order to get Hector caught up and that includes you, it's not an issue of how well he can fight. Now Rath has given you an order and every second you spend debating it is a second longer the army is stalled here."
He angled his head and crossed his arms.
"As for you Hector, you should probably know that there are more people from Elibe in Eyris, I can't be certain but it's possible your daughter may be there. Rath isn't ordering you not to fight, he just wants you to go to the capital first, you can sign up for the Guard if you want and after seeing your strength they'll probably rush you to the front lines, for now trust your..." Wil couldn't hide the huge smile that the next word gave him, it was just so ludicrous. "Elders."

Before Hector could ask whatever questions he had, Wil had approached them and proceeded to talk to them. It felt more like a lecture, though. He noted that Wil said that he had left Wolt with his parents when he was still young, even though Rebecca should have been around at that point. The older man didn't seem to be lying, nor did it look like there were any issues with his memory.
Sounds like a parallel timeline, where the events are the same but small portions are different. the young lord mused.
However, the way he was speaking made it sound like he was looking down on Hector, especially the way he dragged out the last word. Something about that irritated Roy slightly, but he put aside his own feelings on the matter for the time being.
"Wil," Roy started with a sigh. "I appreciate your concerns. However, as I just said I'll get Hector caught up and take responsibility for it so Rath doesn't have more responsibilities to shoulder. Also, we can't make a move until our scouts come back to give us a report on what's delaying Songhua. Until then, all that's left is to get ready to move. I'm ready, Lord Hector came ready. Are you ready?"
Roy didn't want to assume the worst possible situation as to why Songhua and his tribe were late, but if it was the worst possibility then it wouldn't hurt to have Hector's strength on their side. It would be a load off everyone's minds if Songhua and the others just overslept. The longer it took for Songhua's group to show up, the more tense the camp would become. There was also no rush to get Hector caught up on what was going on. If he stayed around, Roy could get him caught up whenever he had free time. There shouldn't be any problem with this, right?
"Also, a word of advice? Please don't sound like you're an officer giving orders when you clearly aren't in a position to do so, nor do you have that sort of power. It makes you look arrogant, and none of the stories I've heard about you ever depicted you as such."

Just when the poor little swordmistress thought this was the end for her, in swoops her knight in shining armor! Well theoretically speaking of course. But it was a cool knight anyhow! Just....a female.
Still! Grateful for the save, now she can probably rest a little easy now. Kalilah let out a pretty heavy sigh of relief. "Yes...That's why I was sent to the rendevou point. Something has happened to our chiefy! I must speak to Rath but of course, once we're out of this whole...mess" Oh was she ready to just sit down and have a cup of tea...either that or curl up under a blanket and sleep for days. That amount of running she had to do could make anybody pass out.

The risen bonewalkers came upon Kalilah as she tried to get away upon the back of the pegasus. A skeleton archer took aim at the rider, and another at the pegasus, in an attempt to thwart the rescue.

Hector Marquess OstiaHector stared at uncomprehendingly at Wil, "Do I know you? You seem somewhat familiar..." Hector stood there stroking his magnificent beard trying to think of who the person was while Roy talked to him, "Aha, I remember now. You're one of the people who helped Lyndis. You were always hiding from Wallace while he tried to bulk you up."
Then Wil said the bit about elders with an idiotic grin. This Hector did not care for, "I don't know how close you and I were in your timeline, but I don't care much for disrespect from someone who is merely am acquaintance of mine. This is your only warning."
Hector turned away from the archer and walked away "Now Roy, I'll help you get ready and you can fill me in on the basics of the situation while we work." ~“Me? Don’t worry about me. I’m fine. I’m built tough, you know. A little too much is just enough for me.”~

Julia "Then at this point, you're the main propriety in this situation."
She passed a javelin to her main arm, holding it at the ready at the sight of more approaching enemies. Just her luck, like they were prepared for her arrival! "Just stay close, and what ever you do...Don't let go." Calliope reared back as she was taking flight once more, trying to quickly gain some distance from the archers. A rapid fling of two javelins, the most she could accurately accomplish in a quick burst, brought the first of the archers down. Calliope, their only hope in covering enough ground to reach the rest of the group in time, was her first concern. But unfortunately, she was only human in her response time. An arrow made its mark, embedding into her arm in a sharp flash of pain. There were days where she cursed how light her armor was out of necessity, and a bolt having almost made its way through her entire forearm definitely made a day like today high on the list.
The pain intensified as she struggled to retain her grip on Calliope's reins, practiced and careful hands being the only thing keeping her from losing it entirely. Her free, uninjured hand clumsily reached about for another javelin, taking a steady aim to counteract her diminished accuracy. "Don't fail me now..." The knight urged her partner on, covering distance from the skeleton recovering from her shot as they booked it in the direction of the camp. There was more on the way, and the information their visitor had was too valuable to mess around here.

"You ask why do I not talk much?"_______←« _____ ←« ____ ←« ___ ←« __ ←« _____"...Because there is nothing to say."Rath ------------ "Enough!" Rath spoke, with a rarely heard annoyed voice slightly above his usual monotone. He turned around, brows furrowed at the group. "You say he is a capable man, Son of Eliwood and then claim it would be dangerous to send him back to Eyris, away from the warzone. Make up your mind, is he capable or isn't he? Furthermore, my argument does not apply to those two; Wil is injured, and should not even be walking around" He continued, glaring to the side at Wil at the last part. "We could not just leave them there and we didn't have the time to take them anywhere. There was no other choice than to have them come along in Leena's wagon." He then looked to Wil. "And you will be traveling in the back of her wagon... not on a horse: not with your leg."
He focused back on the group and sighed. "Now I've given my word. Right now, even though you have the capacity to be useful, you are just a liability to me. You could attack an ally, thinking its an enemy because you just don't know any better. Now for the last time, go-"
"Sir! The scout is returning."
At the word of the soldier, Rath turned to see Julia flying in, and was surprised at the site of what looked to be another person riding with her. "......" Without finishing, he walked away from the group and over to a clear landing spot for Julia, eager to hear her report.

Julia At last...Julia let out a low sigh of relief at the sight of her company below her, Calliope coming to a slow, spiraling descent to land in front of the awaiting Vice-Captain to begin the start of her report. Thankfully, she had quickly cleared a suitable amount of distance between her and the undead hoard that had taken pursuit. Definitely left her some time to get the word out, even if preparations needed to be made immediately. Legs together, arm to her chest while the other dangled at her side, Julia addressed the awaiting Rath to begin her report.
"The woman that I encountered is a nomad under Chief Songhua, who was in pursuit by undead forces. Seems like she's been traveling for days on foot, so her evacuation was at the top of my priorities. I took a calculated risk, even if I took some damage, but I feel that her information should help piece together the puzzle...That is, after we find a way to deal with the current situation. Calliope is one of the fastest creatures you'd find in the sky, but any remaining forces following her will make their way here sooner or later."
Her lance was planted into the ground next to her, helping to keep her stance strong and stable as she continued with her report. "For now, I say we drive off the enemy forces and see what she has to say. She's in no condition to fight, nor should she be risking her safety till we've made our way back to our allies. Besides, I think a good meal will do her well. Perhaps our friend should stay with the injured Wil while we bring the fight to them?"

His eyes flickered at the mention of undead forces. "....Thank you. Go tend to your arm." He calmly said, without taking his eyes away from Kalilah. "Marina, get everyone ready for battle, immediately." He then walked close to Kalilah, eyes beginning to fail at holding back their concern. "Kalilah... where is Songhua?"

Roy flinched when Rath spoke to them. The young lord took the lecture, looking guiltily to the side.
You should know what he's capable of. You've fought with him before. Haaa...I was hoping I matured a little, but it looks like I still haven't made any progress. I wanted to help Lord Hector but I guess I'm still causing trouble for everyone. the young lord thought weakly.
He looked up when one of the soldiers reported that the scout had returned. Rath immediately set out to speak with her, so the young lord turned to look back at Hector.
"Sorry. I tried. I wish there was something more I could do to help you, but now's not a good time to get you caught up. I still don't think it's a good idea to send you all the way to Eyris, but Rath's right about you getting involved right now. Can you at least stay with Wil and Leena by the wagon? Leena, the blue-haired miss talking to the red-armored knight, should be able to give you an idea of what this world is like and the current state of affairs. Please don't cause any trouble for her."
He had figured the shopkeeper could help, given her personality. Once he pointed her out to Hector, he went to go see what was going to happen now that the scout had returned.

Wil waved away Roy's "advice" he was just a boy, though fairly brash in comparison to his father. He chuckled at Wallaces memory of the past, enjoying the nostalgia. It would be good to see Wallace again now that they were the same age, perhaps he was here in Learania!
And then Hector threatened him, causing Wil to frown deeply. The large man even mentioned timelines. "Hasn't he been here for about five minutes? He certainly picked up an understanding fast... in addition he literally had no reaction to my mentioning his daughter... I could have sworn he was a family man but maybe I was wrong. If this man would threaten a friend who is his senior and not even react to being told he might reunite with his child then perhaps its better poor Lilliana not see her father again."
Thankfully Rath spared Wil a response by cutting in and giving his final opinion. Wil gave his friend a sheepish grin at being chastened about walking and looked dissapointed at the comment about not being able to ride, again though before he could give a response he was cut off by the scout returning.
Sparing a shrug for Roy and Hector, the Sniper followed after Rath and heard Julia's report.
"I agree, I'll take the rearguard along with the plainswoman. Errr miss... Pegasus if you're fit to fight after getting your arm looked at you should probably join us at the back."
While Rath asked Kalilah about what had happened to Songhua, Wil turned to Roy who had just returned. "Excuse me, Roy, would you mind fetching my apprentice for me? I've got a job for her. Please ask her to bring me my bow as well."

"This? This is nothing. After Sister Victoria and the new girl look at it, I'll be good as new to get back into the fight. I have a bone to pick with those-" She stopped, mid-sentence, standing in place with a vacant expression as it dawned on her. "...I have a grudge to pay back with them." She muttered off to the side, feeling a tad bit ill with herself, before turning to Wil.
"Actually, now that I think about it, why are you going around making suggestions like that? The commander, the one who contracted me, is going to need my arm and Calliope for this one. A mercenary's pride is in her ability to get the job done, especially an Ilian Knight. Until I'm told to withdraw, it's to the bitter end. Don't ever forget the difference between my honor and yours. Friend to the Vice-Captain or not, you're communicating in a whole different world."
"I appreciate the concern though."
She turned to him and the Vice-Captain, bracing her hand over her chest. "May the winds guide your wings." With that, she simply turned away and proceeded to start her way to the Sisters preparing to move out, finding Rin not sitting far away from the sister. The cleric was still a tad bit worse for wear, especially after being almost beheaded by Kierkess the previous encounter, but she was more than happy to continue her duties as a Cloak member. Even someone like me still has pride. Not something you'd expect from those religious types, but she had to chalk it off with the spirit of a mercenary starting to become somewhat contagious. A look was shared between the two, a frown in exchange to an uneasy smile from the cleric.
"Don't worry, I'll take revenge for you on that b*****d."
"...I think you and me had two completely different conversations there."
The entire healing session, Julia was, for some reason, glaring daggers at certain red-headed soldier.

Marina must have opened her mouth at least three times to speak, each time cut off by someone else, until finally she just decided to fume in silence until she had a turn to speak or she could leave the conversation. Finally, relief came in the form of the mention of a monster attack, which before Rath had even mentioned anything about rallying forces, she was already on the beat. She ran through the camp, "EVERYONE GET YOUR ASSES UP, GET YOUR WEAPONS READY, GET READY, OR GET READY TO DIE." And you better believe she got people up. Finally she was back at the front lines with her familiar lance of frostbite, ready to strike when they arrived.

Roy listened to Wil's request and sighed. "Yeah, sure. Better me than you since you shouldn't be walking around. I'll find someone to help you onto the wagon too, since you're going to be riding with Leena in the rear."
He had given up trying to reason with Wil since it seemed like the man was too stubborn to listen to anyone. Even though he was told not to move around by several other people, the sniper kept moving around as if he was ignoring their concerns for his health. He was probably going to just pile on more worries for Rath, and that was pretty much the last thing the Vice Captain needed right now.
The young lord moved away to go find the female archer. He could probably also grab his shield while he was at it (he had his sword on him, but he didn't have the shield). Thankfully, everyone was awake (or should be) now that Marina had rallied them so it wasn't that hard to find the girl.
"Ora!" he called out as he ran towards her. "Wil's looking for you. He's also asking for you to bring him his bow."
Message delivered. Now to find that shield and return to the front lines. If he couldn't find it in say...five minutes, he would just go without it.

ORA ┏━━━━━━━━━┓ The first night int he camp was pretty rough on her. Mostly because she was used to the rowdiness of the bandits at night, seemed hard to believe something like that could lull her to sleep. After spending the night meeting up with her new companions and talking to Roy by the bonfire.
However the still and quietness of the night made her sneak in to the armory and polish the weapons for the rest of the night, causing her to oversleep.
However, when she did wake up she refused to be a part of the commotion from earlier and headed straight for breakfast before everyone started to mobilize. "...Something is not right..." she murmured to herself.
"Ora!"
She nearly jumped out of her skin, and turned towards the familiar voice. The red haired man nearly scared her to death. " Y-yes?" Ora listened to him and nodded her head. That's right, something was definitely gonna go down.
Having her bow already next to her, she tied down her quiver and headed towards where her teacher should be. "...You were looking for me? Is something the matter? What's going on?" her voice trembled a bit. Uncertainty wasn't her friends after all.
