He'd been enjoying his night, relaxing in his room and just ... well doing nothing. It had been bliss. Perfect, mostly quiet bliss. Aviana was quietly humming in his mind, some sort of lullaby ...
and then the alarm sounded and he'd scrambled out of bed completely at a loss. He'd yanked his coat off the wall, thrown himself into it as he scurried out the door and headed with the flow of other hunters practically barring out the door.
He could hear orders being shouted. Harpoons ... they wanted him to aim a harpoon? He couldn't even throw a baseball.
OH WELL!

Moon DivisionCeres had been just getting back to her dorm, keys in hand, as she fumbled to open the door. Had she known about the monsters outside? No, not really. She had been blissfully unaware and doing her daily deus duties. Which were lacking recently, actually. "CLASS A HOSTILE DETECTED IN ABANDONED TOWNS. CLASS A HOSTILE DETECTED IN ABANDONED TOWNS. " "s**t!" She reacted, scared at the sudden announcement, dropping her keys. "s**t s**t s**t" Her words were softer this time, grabbing her dropped keys and pushing into the unlocked room abruptly. If there was a hole in her wall now from the doorknob she would worry about that later. Instead she grabbed the remainder of her gear and ran towards the door. Not even bothering to lock it closed, it slammed behind her. Amid the chaos she turned, and saw a coat with a familiar sigil on it. Moon, another moon was here. Had she met this one before? Oh it didn't matter now. Instead, without warning, she reached out and grabbed his wrist. "C'mon we need to go!" It was nice to simply relax in her dorm, curled up on top of her bed and with her legs crossed. Alaska balanced the sketchpad carefully on one leg while she delicately outlined a rose. She drew its outline over and over, mindlessly. It was calming—
And she flipped her drawing pad into the air when the alarm sounded. The action had been more out of shock than anything else, and the raven-haired woman stared with dismay at her fallen sketchbook. Her face would’ve flushed red with embarrassment, but fortunately it was only her inside her room at the moment. She slid out of bed quietly while the sirens screamed. Alaska tossed her book onto her bed while she slid on her boots and ran into the endless corridor. She ran passed numbered doors, trying to reach the towns, but she hadn’t made it very far when the announcement changed suddenly. Report to the main gates.
Great. This is going to end well. I can tell. Her tongue clicked as she pulled off the cuff from her ear. Geez. You’re a real ball of sunshine, huh? The reaper giggled quietly in Alaska’s head while the sun trainee changed course accordingly.
She found herself swept through the waves of scurrying hunters until she spotted who she thought was the sun assistant leader. How nice to see a semi-recognizable figure. But it was a damn shame the man couldn’t figure out when to speak up when clearly there were loud explosions in the background. Alaska shot the spectacled man a scrutinizing glare before stumbling toward a harpoon. Reluctantly, she grabbed the piece of machinery and aimed. You can do better than that. Whatever. No time!

He had just stepped out of his room, barely getting his keys out of the lock and into his pocket when she snatched him, dragging him stumbling and rather unceremoniously down the hall. He got his feet under him as they rounded the corner, using his slightly longer stride to keep pace. "CLASS A HOSTILE DETECTED IN ABANDONED TOWNS. CLASS A HOSTILE DETECTED IN ABANDONED TOWNS. " "What is that?" He shouted over the announcement. "Abandoned towns?"

He didn't really know how this had come to be or why it was that Bad Things always seemed to happen on their island, but whatever the case a certain small, blonde Death Hunter was going to kill someone if his house was destroyed again.
That someone quite possibly being the "hobo" pathetically explaining the turrets.

It…wasn’t doing its job. Groaning, Alaska tried to fiddle with the harpoon a couple times, but after watching the other sun hunters she realized she would have to keep bashing the thing until it decided to work. Whoever had designed this weapon clearly hadn’t been a genius. Grumbling, she clutched her leiomanos and struck out with one arm, metal ringing against metal.

Melvin had been in the labs when the alarm went off, and had rushed out with the rest of the technicians to see that the sky had gone dark. Considering that the shield was down and the sky had been bright blue for the past few weeks, this was alarming. Even Melvin had to check his watch just to make sure he hadn't lost track of time and it was actually midnight.
Nope. Still daytime.
The alarms sounded just in time to clear up that matter, and he rushed with the rest of them (mildly impressed he wasn't winded by the time he got to the gates), and was directed to go to the green lights. Using Saliva as a helpful light, he made his way over to the front gates, a meek-looking man, and a really big gun.
Melvin liked guns.
Moving over, the instructions were simple in nature. Fine the runes and charge up the giant gun. The really impressive gun that Melvin wanted to look at more closely and talk more about. It was the shrieking and ground shaking that stopped him though.
Moving to one of the stash boxes, he went over and started to sort. No. No. Noooo? Nope. DAMN! This was like a very stressful game of Go Fish!

Moon Division"The abandoned town outside the main gates, you know?" She called back at him, guiding him more than dragging him towards the commotion. She should have realized then that something was wrong - how he had not known what the towns were? But she was a little preoccupied with all the noise and sirens, she was well and truly sidetracked. "Class A though, it must be something REALLY bad if they are calling out everyone. We need to go gather with the other moons." She pointed with ehr free arm towards the yellow banner.

She huffed when the harpoon failed to launch after her first hit. Perhaps she needed to do it again. Perhaps she needed to strike out with more force this time. She couldn’t tell. Regardless, Alaska took a step back to eye the harpoon before she then stepped toward the harpoon and bashed it a couple times with both of her arms. This time the metal rang out more loudly, but still nothing. She groaned again.
