The pigeon pecked at the flower in Celemorrow's hat.

"Good."

He placed a hand on a cage filled with mice.

"I'm sorry about that. I should have been paying more attention."

He resolved to never make that mistake again as he opened the cage, and swept the mice into a box.

"That’s okay." Aludra said brightly as she hefted the heavy rabbit into another box, giving its head a little pat. "Be a good boy Stanley, Mama has to help the other animals now."

A scraggly cat mewed pitifully as she opened its caged and shooed it out.

"I watched a show last week about puppy farms. We should go to one of them too." It was as if her brush with danger had never happened.

Stanley the rabbit snuffled its nose while watching Aludra release more animals.

"Do you know where any puppy farms are located?"

Sailor Celemorrow had assumed the suggestion had been for today and, while he would wholeheartedly agree to taking on a puppy farm, he didn't know where any were himself.

The last animal to be freed was a rather scraggly pomeranian, which yapped happily as it immediately chased the cat out of the door.

"That's the last of them."

"Well, no..." She admitted as she watched the cat and dog scurry out of view. "I don't think they like people to know where they are."

Aludra moved from one box to the other, checking on their occupants and breaking up any minor scuffles.

"I'll try find one and I can call you on my new fancy phone thing."

"I don't have a phone."

That was a lie. Sailor Celemorrow had a perfectly good phone in his dorm room and a cell phone so that he and his boss could keep in touch if need be. But he suspected that the cell phone Sailor Aludra was referring to was one of those magical world-travel cell phones which Sailor Avior claimed came from cats. Celemorrow found the story a bit hard to swallow.

"But I'll also try to find some nearby puppy farms. Are there any large mirrors that you know of nearby that park we met?"

He hesitated as he moved a rather rambunctious guinea pig to a different box before asking another question.

"Does your cell phone allow you to visit your planet?"

"Oh... you should probably get one. The kitty said it was important."

Aludra was back beside Stanley, happily rubbing the rabbit’s ears.

"Mirrors?" She had to think about that for a while, chewing on her lip as she did so. "Well, I have a big mirror in my living room and there’s probably one at the clothing store a few blocks away." She answered and quickly followed up with, "why?"

She put out her hand, stopping one mouse from climbing out to freedom and stared at Celemorrow in confusion. Her planet? She was on it right now, right? "I’m not sure what you mean."

So there was a cat involved. Celemorrow pushed the cart toward the doorway.

"I haven't met any talking cats. What did it look like?"

He would have to hunt one down and wrestle a cell phone out of it some day.

"Mirrors are a good landmark for me. I can check on their locations easily. If you show me where the clothing store is, we can agree on a sign you or I can leave when one of us finds a puppy farm."

He stopped the cart. The unconscious security guard was laying in the doorway, blocking their way out. The older senshi walked over and began to drag the man out of the way.

"One other senshi I met...*huff*...could use his cell phone to travel to his home world in the stars. I was wondering if yours could do the same."

He flopped the man out of the way and pushed the cart into the hall.

"Well, they mostly just look like normal cats. At least the one I met did. She was kind of fat too. It was cute. Oh,”" she tapped her forehead, "and she had a star on her head."

Aludra decided to put the mirror thing down to being Celemorrow’s 'special ability'. He definitely seemed more advanced in things than she was. "Okay. Sounds like a plan."

She followed behind him, watching as he moved the guard and making sure none of the animals tried to abandon ship.

"Maybe it can..." She took the item in question out, turning it over in her hand as if a 'Go to Home Planet' button would suddenly appear. "I’ll find out." Surely she would run into someone who knew about travelling through space. It sounded neat.

The pigeon on Celemorrow's hat fluffed its wings as the cart was moved down the hall and toward the elevators.

"A star on her head? Like a marking?"

The pomeranian reappeared, yapped a circle around the two senshi and disappeared down the hall again. It was certainly enjoying its freedom.

"If you do find out how to reach your home world, I would like to hear about it," then, almost as an afterthought, "It is not good for sailor senshi to tarry on Earth for too long."

"Yeah, I guess so..."

Aludra waved goodbye to the pomeranian as it took off yapping, pleased she’d had a part in its freedom. But there were a lot of other animals out there that would need their help and she had to make sure not to forget that.

She ran ahead, reaching the elevator first and pressing the button.

"I'll let you know," she promised. The idea of leaving earth behind for some other planet was odd, even to someone newly awakened as a magical child. But it was an idea she was quickly growing to. Having her very own world did sound rather neat.

The elevator doors opened with a ping!

"You'll have to tell me if your world is habitable. When we senshi leave Earth for good, we'll need places to live."

Celemorrow rolled the cart of animals onto the open elevator. He was surprised to see the walls of the elevator car were covered in mirrors. This would make visiting the building again much easier, should he ever need to. He pushed the button for the ground floor.

"It's a pity I can't take anyone with me through mirror space or else we could escape through here."

The pomeranian's yapping could be heard again. Suddenly, the cat Aludra had released dashed into the elevator car, followed by the dog just before the doors slammed shut. The pomeranian, initially focused on chasing the cat, turned around to yap at the doors which startled it.

"Leave?" She questioned with a look of alarm, moving to put her back against the elevator wall so the cart would have more room. "Why would we leave earth?" And what about her mother and father?

Mirror space was another topic she would have brought up if she hadn’t been distracted by the dog and cat rushing in. "Hush now," she ordered softly as the cat cowered in the corner and the dog gave the door a good talking to.

Rather than risk the cat with its claws, she attempted to pick up the still yapping pomeranian. It squirmed in her grip, alternating between making a racket and licking her hand.

"Senshi are a poison to Earth and the war which the senshi brought to the planet threatens to destroy it."

The elevator door opened and the cat dashed away to hide once again.

Celemorrow pushed the cart out and directed toward the door they had come in.

“Oh…” That was the first she’d heard anything like this. The cat had been pretty convincing on how good senshi were and poisoning the earth seemed pretty dramatic. “We can’t be that bad. I just want to help people… will you stop squirming please, ah!”

Aludra half-dropped the dog to the ground and it raced away out the door. She followed Celemorrow and the cart, giving Stanley a quick check. The rabbit was still lazily content despite having two guinea pigs crawling over him.

"It's not that we want to hurt the Earth. It's just part of our nature. It's like we're incredibly radioactive, giving everyone cancer - only the cancer is the utter destruction of Earth. It's not something we choose to do."

Celemorrow watched the dog run off as he approached the exit.

"But that means it's all the more important to try and make the Earth a better place while we're trapped here."
