R.E.D was right, she may not have spoken much but she was a worthy team leader! Alexis nodded her head and used her hand to form arcane runes on the deck before them, Laxion then jumped on and got his air magic ready. The flash of light let him see what he was doing and got a better look at the men in black. As he reached their height he hovered in place for a mere second as the air around him spun vigorously and aggressively expanded to push the men far away.

One of them fell to the floor but the other made shadowy chains give him something to hold onto. As Laxion landed Alexis saw the chained one and aimed her weapon, but she realised this could be dangerous on the balloon! Then Lucas, after noting R.E.D quick thinking, brought up his invisible blade and eerily shifted over to the other man's space.

When he moved it was like he barely even moved his legs but glided over like a statue. He then persisted in many attacks of blade swinging, carefully positions defenses and swirling, smooth attacks. The defender now was using two blades of pure darkness. It seemed they could make what they wanted from the very shadows!

Lucas didn't like this one bit, these two were highly trained and were finding it easy to stay alive against the 4 of them! But why were they here? The guild collapsed hundreds of years ago... Their city is now overrun with necromancers and dark witches... but..

The Land of Crows. Perhaps...

R.E.D.'s plan worked to deflect the on coming attack, but one of the men decided to be clever. He lingered by the balloons holding onto shadowy changes for support. Alexis was about to attack, but with the balloon near him it could be fatal. The albino ran over to the two and shouted. "Alexis give me a lift!" She was planing to ditch her weapon just like she did in the fight with Laxion. Once the girl produced a magic circle, R.E.D. jumped onto it, and let go of her weapon in mid-air.

The weapon's blade concealed itself, and the two guns fell towards Laxion and Alexis. "Give me light!" She yelled back knowing that both of the guns were still loaded with flash bullets. She wasn't really sure if the flash bullets gave the enemy an advantage because light does create shadows. She assumed that the two men were creating shadows out of pure darkness. The bullets were mostly for her to see her way. However, she knew that she was ascending towards the male, and was going to be able to attack without effecting the balloon. If she did miss the man, and hit the balloon the force of her punch would travel have way through the balloon. Once the blow travels half way, it will come back to her and sending her falling back to the deck.

Her punches, as strong as they are, could never disrupt a balloon of that size. Once she got close enough, she balled her hands into fist, and swung towards the male as hard as she could.

[I hope you don't mind that I said your character used the spell all ready.]

((thats fine ^_^, and thankyou about my avi earlier ^_^))

Lucas was in the midst of a battle, the defender was pretty good at his weaponry as well as spells. But Lucas finally gained the upper-hand more flash bullets were used. As soon as he noticed light he used very quick thinking and hand-eye coordination to capture some of that light and even in darkness did the Purevelion Blade become visible.

Even though he was swinging it with grace two loads of light quickly descended upon the blade and its sharp edge extended some feet as he let loose two giant swings at the man. He was knocked back unsuspecting of the attack. As soon as he had enough room between them Lucas said 'By the order of Injustira' and then he plunged the blade of light into the floor of darkness. 'I judge thee!' he then announced as he let go of the blade, orbs of light rushing the the mans limbs as they held him in place. Lucas summoned the palm of his hand before the man a flash of light sent this one flying overboard, knocked out.

He turned to face the others who were luckily defending the balloon! As he looked though he saw R.E.D punch the other hard in the gut. The chains broke and as the winded shadowmancer went flying towards the outside of the ship he landed on a heavily condensed platform of shadows. Finding it hard to breathe he said 'Leave the Island... For your own good!' before the platform broke and he dropped down to the nothingness below them.

For now, it seemed it was over. Already the stormy clouds were starting to clear.

R.E.D. smirked as her fist was absorbed into his gut. She gave a twist for good measure to send him flying. She then fell back to the deck as he made his speech. Her red florescent eyes narrowed and she knew that wouldn't be the last of them. When she landed she ran over to the edge and looked over the rail to see the one that was on the condensed clouds fall into nothingness. The girl breathed heavily as the adrenaline slow released itself. Why would those men show up out of no where just to give them a warning.

She stood up straight and exhaled softly. The clouds were cleared and the sun was beginning to shine onto the deck. It was warm, but there was still a chill in the air. The albino turned back to the others and strolled over to Laxion and Alexis. When she got to them she held out her hand, and asked politely for her weapon back. She felt some incomplete without the weapon in her holsters by her sides. R.E.D. didn't express any emotion of course, but she really was impressed by all of them. She was defiantly wrong about the girl, Alexis, being a distraction.

I couldn't take it, couldn't stand another minute
Couldn't bear another day without you in it
All of the joy that I had known for all my life
Was stripped away from me the minute that you died

((sorry for the wait, just had dinner ^_^))

As the sun began to shine through it felt like they had done a job well done. Everything that had just happened seemed to move by so fast and the calm was already setting back in. As R.E.D's weapons were returned to her Alexis smiled and said 'we did a good job' with a small nod to R.E.D. 'Your fast thinking was... just in time' Laxion then said, turning to Lucas. He nodded to R.E.D too as he said 'I congratulate all of you. That was... unexpected. He was then placing his sword back on his waist when he used some magic to clear off remaining, unnatural shadows and repaired small pieces of the ship. 'Who were they, you knew them' Laxion then questioned, still catching his breath.

'I did' he began, looking overboard just to reassure himself. 'I believe you all know about the Forgotten Guild. The guild we no longer speak of, the guild that is cursed and was collapsed under the order of the Court of Absolution. The High Guild, as i hope you also know, did not allow them to stay together. Though it has almost turned to myth in recent years most things you've heard are true... but some... not all so true.' Alexis raised a brow, she then said 'I heard the guild was accused of luring Demons of the burning depths to Magic Earth' she then suggested. Lucas Purevelion took his time to reply with 'Yes' quite simply. But Alexis had a determined mine, and was going to defend the guild. 'But i think they've always been wrongfully accused.'
'And what makes you question the guild's judgement?' Lucas asked, turning to face her. 'I find it weird how a prestigious guild such as the Conclave would completely disappear after that'
'They were obviously shamed for what they had done'
'or embarrassed for taking the bad omens of another's doing...' she then said. 'I've done a lot of research in the Grand Library of Kuj'anast-'
'And the books hold many accounts of different views...' he almost seemed like he was regretting his replies earlier, almost being plagued with Injustira-like prejudice. He had always believed, like the High Court, that the Forgotten Guild was accused correctly and collapsed for the good of the world. After they became vanished and the land locked off he presumed they died, or they left to get back on their feet. But they havn't been seen in many a year.

Lucas then continued his explanation as Alexis held herself back, giving a soft look of apology for interrupting. 'Delorius'tatem, in our tongue, The Conclave of Declasia, is where those men came from. They delved in teh darkest of arts from the very pinnacle of the Underworld. I always thought them gone forever. But... there is none other like them besides Dark Witches, or similar sorcerers or necromancers. I just don't understand why they're back. We're lucky we didn't die' he then added on the end.

Blue like violets
Fills my head with dreams and finds me
Always closer
to the emptiness and sadness
that has come to take the place of you

I wasn't dreaming when they told me you were gone
I was wide awake and feeling that they had to be wrong
How could you leave me when you swore that you would stay
But I'll make you proud and know that I'm okay every single f'ing day

R.E.D. received her weapons back and tucked them safely into their holsters. She nodded humbly to the Lucas and the others giving her congratulations. "You all are strong indeed. I'm glad that I am proficient enough to fulfill your needs." The girl replied in a robotic voice. She then closed her eyes and listened silently to Lucas's explanation. He did announce earlier that he knew the figures who attack them. R.E.D. didn't quiet understand the guilds not did she care. Once someone attack, that was no under command, they were considered enemies. They weren't human either, but some kind of creatures of the darkness.

The albino turned away from the group and walked to the railing to glance over the edge. She wanted to voice her opinion about the enemy, but it was not her right to do so. Plus, the way Alexis was talking she wasn't sure if she could trust the girl or not. Maybe she couldn't trust anyone on the ship, but until then she would serve as a tool. When she is needed, she remains royal to the one or ones she serves. She must act in order as commanded. While the other conversed, she would watch and wait for anything out of the ordinary.

'Anyhow' Lucas continued. 'I shall contact the Syndicate immediately. But... for now. Welcome to the Island of Elexir. ' he took a step to the side revealing a lush jungle-like island. The beach surrounding the western side of the island was clear and covered in a few various large shells and star fish. They were coming to dock by a large, marble and silver plated tower that had a large glowing light atop its tip. There was a roof on the top that gave entryway to the dock and the spiral staircase leading downwards. The ocean nearby was pure blue.

It all seemed rather normal and beautiful, Laxion though began to wonder where the barrier was. That was until the Lightcleaver's sharp tip clashed with this very barrier in mention. It was like a roar of thunder when it hit, but it quickly softened to a quiet humming. Only the Lightcleaver was possible to do this, and when they pssed through the entire barrier surrounding the island became apparent when they were on the inside. It was shimmering white and glowed brightly where the Lightcleaver had broken through. When they passed, it fixed itself back up immediately. 'Wow' Alexis commented, Laxion meanwhile looked slightly out of place. There was no natural wind here whatsoever, he wasn't used to it at all. 'We will dock and make plans on the beach' Lucas said as the zeppelin was about to dock.

R.E.D. looked down upon the beautiful island. It was still an unknown region to her, and she had never been to a beach in her life. Without warning, the Zeppelin hit the barrier roaring loud enough for the girl to cover her ears and duck. It was only a natural reaction of course that she instantly shook off. 'Prepare for the unexpected', she reminded herself. The loud crash drowned out into a calming hum that was relaxing. The barrier around them resembled a giant bubble, but this bubble could regenerate itself.

Lucas announced that crew was going to go down to the beach. She was relived to get off the air craft, and plant her feet onto dry land. She waited patiently for the orders, and was ready to follow the other members diligently.

The zeppelin carefully and smoothly wedged itself against the grand tower and when Lucas gave the orders he was the first to stop off. The tower was adorned with white and blue crystals hanging from the ceiling and lighting up the spiral staircase. There was nothing to protect them down the center, to stop them from falling down right to the ground floor. That was but the white light rising straight up and hitting the large orb of light above the roof that escaped through a rounded hole at the top. Lucas then made his way down the staircase, carefully, and was followed by the others. Alexis was overwhelmed with the architecture of the syndicate, this was more traditional syndicate style, like in the days of the Order, before it being what it is today.

Reaching the beach below the sea was calmly throwing and pulling its tide. The sand was covered half of the white brick floor below them that extended some feet outside of the tower itself. 'Its my pleasure to say, Team Elexir, that we have a short amount of time to get used to the island before we head in land. The barrier has to be replenished by tomorrow evening, before dusk, so that we succesfully secure the island. It shall only take a few hours to reach the Fountain of Immortality where the pillars will be found.

Alexis liked the idea, she hadn't really relaxed since she arrived on the ship in the first place. Quickly she fell backwards and onto her bum, enjoying the sand. Laxion however looked down to her at first and wasn't sure what to do. Relaxing, now? He gave it a few moments thought before deciding to walk towards the jungles edge to observe it. Lucas meanwhile looked out to the sea.

R.E.D. followed as ordered, and observed everything from the architecture to the gains of sand on the island. This place was so strange and she felt out of place. She hesitated a bit when the sand crunched under her foot, it actually startled her. The beach stretched far and wide. One of the members, Alexis, decided to use the break to her advantage and relaxed in the sand. Unfortunately, R.E.D. couldn't a afford that luxury and needed to explore the island right away.

Laxion and Lucas were taking the upper hands as well by observing the sea and forest. R.E.D. began to walk along the shore line looking back and forth between the sea and forest area. She didn't realize how far away she was straying from the group. She couldn't stop her curiosity from consuming her, and she would return to the group be simply retracing her steps. The island was certainly a mystery.

That summer feeling of finally sitting down, but she wasn't sure if the sand was quite that perfect. It got between everything! 'What do you think would be so bad that those guys would warn us not to come here?' asked Alexis as she looked over to Lucas. He breathed in carefully and spoke out to the ocean saying 'In all honesty. I don't know. There is not even a single wild beast on this island that could remotely harm us. I personally believe they wish to corrupt the well... that is all that is possible.'
'hmm' Alexis then replied. Laxion however was searching inside the jungle, only at its edge though. It was so dense, he guessed without Lucas Purevelion then none of them would know where they were going. He then said 'Didn't the well create the Divine?' to which Lucas turned round and said 'Yes, actually, it did. Because of that it is hard to tell if the well does exactly grant immortality, as it stripped it of the Angels that drank from it.'
'How ironic' Alexis commented.

____________________________

A short period of time passed as Lucas looked to the sky and calculated the time by the sun. 'We should get moving now!' Lucas then yelled towards the entire group. 'If we're on time, then we should be able to replenish the barrier by nightfall and head back in the morning'

The island was to perfect and to quiet. R.E.D. knew something wasn't right about the place. Even from how far away she was she could hear Lucas shouting. She turned back, and ran back up the shore line to reunite with the others. When she got to them, she pulled out her guns gripping them tightly. The albino trailed behind Lucas glancing around as the entered into the forest terrain. The trees and plants were all health, and the soil they walked on was pure. Was this because of the well? Did it have a connection to the whole island. R.E.D. kept looking back because for some reason she kept feeling like she was being followed. It could be the mystery of the island that was making her paranoid.

Making his way through the island he used his blade to keep the bigger leaves and branches out of the way. He seemed to be following a path that almost looked like it had been used before, but not very often as it seemed aged in a way. Like there was a constant battle between man and nature. 'When we get to the center i shall explain exactly what to do, and it should be relatively simple'. As they all agreed he continued in deeper and deeper. There seemed to be a thundering roar from the distance though. Just like what they heard when they passed through the barrier.

Laxion raised and brow when Lucas stopped. He then asked 'Isn't that the sound of the barrier being torn?' the sound came again, and several more times in smaller doses. 'Thats... exactly what that sound is' Lucas then replied. He quickly looked up and with a carefuly arrangement swung his sword above him as it cleared the entire canopy above him. Rippled of light were coming from the other side of the island, on the side... nearest Bloodholme.'

Alexis looked to R.E.D with a concerned look as she triggered her staff, the two blades spinning from under the orb to the tip to form a spear. 'Quickly!' Lucas then said, obviously very worried. He moved with great speed and used his blade at any given moment to get rid of anything in his path. He jumped, he ducked and he rolled whenever possible. It even came to the point were a large gap with a river stopped them from getting across.

That didn't stop them at all, however.

When Lucas reached it he jumped high, flipped in the air and landed on the tip of the other side. Laxion jumped and was pushed over with a gust of wind. Alexis made her way over with small electronic pads that she pulled out from one of her pockets. They landed in mid air beneath her feet just at the right moment and expanded into pads big enough to stand on.

Once R.E.D. heard the surround, she ducked knowing exactly what it was. When Lucas cleared the canopy, she could see the barrier ripple and wiggle. She thought that only the Zeppelin could enter the barrier. It couldn't be that weak already, could it? The first sound that disrupted the bubble like barrier was loud so she wondered if some kind of ship entered through. There was more thundering noise, but the female didn't dare look up.

Lucas gave the command to run and she followed loyally. She placed her guns together in order for her sword to reveal itself. She copied Lucas making a path for herself as she ran as far as she could. When she saw the river she almost hesitated. There was no way she could jump that width, but lucky there was tree's lined up by the river. She swung her sword, cutting right threw the trunk of a tree, and watched it fall over the river creating a bridge. This put her a bit behind of the others, but was was able to catch up easily.

What if they couldn't make it to the well in time? Whatever or whomever entered the barrier must have been some stuff opponents. She decided to switch back to her guns, and hold them out on each side of her in case of an ambush. They have been a powerful enemy or else the group wouldn't be rushing to the well. She looked at the other's with concern hoping they could handle this mission or at least leave the island alive.
