Candace stopped in front of Dakota's door.
And that was where she stopped.
A hand was raised to knock on it, a formal warning before she entered the room, but then lowered her hand before doing so. There was a slight smirk on her face as she turned on her heel and instead went to her own room. She disappeared into her room and didn't come out for..a good while.
When she finally did come out she first peeked just her head out and looked up and down the hall before she stepped out. She had the MRE package tucked under her arm. Instead of her Hunter coat she now wore a long, nearly sheer white robe, which she adjusted the front of before she walked back down the hall. She had changed her shoes, a pair of soft pink strappy heels that clicked along the floor with each stepped. She had fixed her makeup, she had attempted to deal with her hair despite the lack of showers, and from what could be glimpse she was..not wearing something under her robe that should be seen in public. It explained her hurried pace as she returned to Dakota's door.

Stormy held her breath as she peeked, wondering if this was in fact her cue to just slink away. There was training, and then there was intruding on private moments . . . But Candace looked like she had an idea in mind, and so Stormy waited patiently as the woman disappeared into her room. No way was she getting herself possibly caught when her perch was just fine.
She was lucky her face didn't give her away like the reddening beacon it was when she saw what Candace was wearing. Somehow, despite having more on than when she was in a bikini, it was worse for Stormy to look at.
But it was super cute, she'd give her that.
A part of her was tugging away at the we should probably leave now notion, but she was frozen in place in curiosity and, well, fear of being spotted at this point with Candace in . . .more compromising clothes.

Candace stopped in front of the door and opened her robe enough to adjust the bustier she was wearing.
She then knocked once and opened the door, looking surprised. "Darling?" She called out, stepping into the room. "Dakota?" There came no answer. Huh..he must not have been home.
She stopped in the main room and looked around, setting down the MRE. Her footsteps could be heard wandering the room until she stopped and picked up a piece of jewelry. She muttered something about keeping track of her stuff or she'd step on it, taking Atropos' rings off her fingers and setting them down in a safe place.
The jewelry she had picked up had been a ring. It wasn't anything special just a simple band.
Candace stopped and just stared at it, putting it on her left ring finger as she had done with one of Atropos' rings earlier. She held her hand out at arm's length, tilting her head to one side and clucking her tongue. "Candace Rainstar..." she said quietly, making a slight face after.
Suddenly she shook her head. It looked like she couldn't get the ring off fast enough before she tossed it away from her, rubbing her ring finger like it hurt. The woman rubbed her lips together, staring at her hand with worry.

Yup. Definitely intruding at this point. Her earlier concerns were dulled a bit by the girl's naturally romantic reaction to Candace's mutterings, and at least for now Stormy's curiosity was sated. Even if there were quite a few questions she wanted to poke her about . . .
But with no coffee she was beginning to want to yawn and sleep in place like Nevada did, which was a no-no.
Whispering "I ship it~" to herself with a smile, the trainee slipped away into the evening and pat herself on the back for a good training session.

And then tomorrow happened and Stormy was just can't stop won't stop some more.
She realized now she had a record. Not a Mist one, obviously, but a personal one. This was the longest she had gone undetected, and she wanted to see if she could push her luck some more. She certainly had some surplus in the karmaic bank in her opinion.
Now she knew Miss Candace, like all hunters, had taken up more work than usual to compensate for the power outage. Thus when Stormy moved to her perch by the library, she kept her eyes peeled for the hunter; there were all sorts of jobs, after all, and she couldn't guess after which her target would go to so much as hope she nabbed her again and made like a shadow.

Lucky for Stormy Candace was fully dressed again. She was in the library, bent over a desk facing a nervous looking Hunter on the other side. There was a lazy smirk on her face and her eyes were lidded, she was leaning forward with her elbow on the desk and her chin was in the palm of her hand. Her other hand was toying with the Hunter's scarf, making him blush and look even more nervous.
"Come on," she purred in a low tone, her voice soft so as not to be heard in the quiet of the library. "Pleeeeease~? I promise I won't tell anyone." Candace pouted her lips a bit, taking a quiet, deep breath to expand her chest slightly before she sighed. "It's just..I really want to know..."
"U-uh...heh..you know I can't--" Candace pressed a finger to his lips, silencing him.
"Ah, ah.." She moved to sit on the desk, one leg crossing over the other and her body angled toward the man. His eyes widened and his jaw dropped at the sight. "I know who runs the security cameras, I'm sure I can convince them to turn a blind eye should you be caught. Please~?"

Left, clear. Right, clear. Forward, super clear. Behind . . . Stormy peered through one of the windows and was about to write it off as clear when she saw her.
. . . Whoa.
She didn't care if it raised her chances of being caught. Stormy opened the door and slipped right on in, comforted by the smell of textbooks and the hum of what computers were still on. Her eyes were deceiving her, right? Miss Candace wasn't just . . . . She couldn't. Not after last night.
< < You fool. > >
She bit the inside of her lip as she settled behind a bookshelf not far from the pair, her ears still ringing with words that were so simple and yet so hard to understand.

She heard the door open and sat up straight, loosening her grasp on the Hunter's scarf. Candace blinked. Who..?

Okay maybe she should have stayed outside. It had been a good run, though, and she did not regret it--even if now she was all sorts of confused and suspicious and curious and wibbly over her mentor.
"Miss Candace?" Stormy tried her best to feign surprise, peering between the books at her with a blithe smile. She snatched one in passing and quickly glanced it over (A Catalog of Northern Halloween Environments) before she stuck it under her arm and cleared the shelf. "Hi! Hi t'you too, Mr. . . ?"
Play it cool, play it super cool.

The man almost looked relieved by Stormy's arrival. Candace frowned and let him go. "I'm--"
Candace's eyes darted to him and he shut right up, collecting his books and fleeing. The Mist Huntress was quiet for a long while, simply climbing off the desk and straightening out her clothes.
She finally gave Stormy a pleasant smile. "Hello, sweetheart. And what are you doing here?"

It took a little willpower not to giggle at how quickly the man left with just a look; one day, maybe she'd have the same power. "Oh, um, nothing much!" Stormy chirped, deciding to be innocent for a moment. "I wanted to get a book for some research, since it's either that or going out in the sun . . . But, um."
She rapped her knuckles on the cover idly, trying to process past the encounter she'd just seen. "Are you busy right now, Ms. C? I wanted to talk to you about some training stuff if not. Maybe over coffee?"

Around Stormy she seemed to change in demeanor a bit, her entire body language going from sensual to cheerful and friendly. She smiled brightly, listening attentively to Stormy's explanation. "Ah, I see. Did you find what you were looking for?" She asked, eyes darting to the book and then Stormy's face.
At the question of being busy she blinked, looking somewhat surprised. "Not right now, no. I'd love to join you, Stormy. Lead the way."

It was a far better Candace looking like that, she thought, in comparison to some of the ones she'd seen through training. Thane was practically chomping at the bit to play devil's advocate (to compare them, really), so she hurried them along.
"Mmhmm!" Gesturing for Candace to follow, she turned the book's cover towards her (hiding it would have been odd, though it meant coming up with an excuse on the fly). "Wanted to read up more on Halloween geography just in case we get the golems up and running again. I've only ever been there once for a festival, and I've been kinda wanting to go again . . . Only this time armed with knowledge!"
Stormy held the door open for her and skittered back up to speed. "Were you looking for someone in the library?" she dared to pry, keeping hold of the innocent image. "He seemed like he was in a hurry!"

"Ah, is that all? It's interesting. I've been there quite a bit, though it's been awhile..." Candace said nothing more on that. She didn't want to talk about her last few trips there. She didn't want to think about it.
Candace walked through the door as it was held for her, waiting for Stormy to follow her. At the girl's question she blinked. "Mm? Not really...I was trying to get something from him. He was very determined not to give me what I wanted, and I don't take rejection well," she explained with a sigh, idly toying with Stormy's hair. "I like your hair like this, when did you cut it?"

"Oh . . ." She bobbed her head, her insides twisting a little. "Well, one day you'll sneak up on him and go all CIA interrogation style and he'll regret it!" Stormy chirped, finding her voice naturally went higher and more childlike the longer she stayed around Candace. It wasn't so much a ruse as . . . playing a part, she thought. Mentor and mentee, mother and daughter almost . . .
She hummed as Candace fingered her hair, the dorms looming closer. "Thank you! I cut it about a week ago," Stormy explained. "Just, um . . . felt like it, I guess. And it was good timing too since everywhere is so hot, oh my God." The actual reason was too stupid to try and put to words anyway. When they reached the doors she held one open and once again scooted along behind. "You should see Nevada, she's practically in her underwear half the time we're in our room."
