Kirin was slow to wake up but when he started to hear the voice of his king his way he started to claw against the wall trying to pull himself up quickly. Still a bit dazed from all of the lack of sleep he would take a moment before really understanding what his king had just said. Kirin would twist his helmet from the top of his shoulders to get a better look at the man before him. Rubbing his eyes he started to hear the comment from his king and slightly blushed with some embarrassment. His king never failed on making him feel like he was some one worth keeping around."Thank you. I have been more than ready to test out a form of defense netting." he said in his nerd talk. Well thats what the people around him thought it was, sometimes it was hard being smart around people of... lower intelligence thou not saying his king was less intelligent just simply not in the areas he was. Hearing the next comment escape from Raph's lips he somewhat hesitated to say what he had really wanted in the terms of goals... Taking a moment Kirin would speak up in his normal tone. "Raphael, you and this empire are one of the most important goals I have had in a long time... I am not just some mindless grunt swinging a blade but you have given a human a chance to rise to these heights..." he said in a way of thanking him but he clearly was not finished yet. "...But my goal before I had met you and truly felt something for this nation was simply... Respect." his voice went firm as he started to glance off at the villagers here before them, most of these bastards were humans. "Respect for my race..." he would start saying again as he turned back to Raph. "Humans were once one of the most powerful races in all of Axiom. They were respected, feared, hell maybe even praised! Those times have fallen and so has my race as a whole. Being treated like we are second rate! Just taking up space by some of the other races! FOOD EVEN!"he said a bit excited but catching himself he would take a breathe and move on. "I understand the humans of the past were racist beings that believed all other races should have never excsited and once upon a time I did too... Until I found Aramil." Now things had came full circle for both goals allowing him to make a bit more sense if he had not from the beginning. "I worked with different races there, studied under them slowly earning their respect and them earning mine. I had learned that the races are different from us and some maybe seen as half breeds but we all sharing this rock as equals." Glancing over to builder who was sitting beside him, Kirin would lay his hand against his head gently rubbing it. "One of the people to help see this was you Raph... I cannot say you were not one of the biggest reasons I changed my mind." he said softly keeping his glance on builder
The Incubus stared quietly as Kirin as he went on. After he'd started to go off on bringing praise to the human race, Raphael began to understand exactly what this was all about. He had the same aspirations, for his own race, and similar reasonings for wanting to pursue his ambitious goals. Raphael couldn't help but admit that there were times he didn't really see humans as anything but lessers of the other races. But they were tenacious, and they had technological superiority. In all technicality, they were still the strongest and most populous of the races. The only race that trumped them was the Mermaids. But that was because the Mermaids were unstoppable, as they were the sole claimants to the sea. "It's all just racism. Jealousy. Humans have run the world for millennial after millennial. Don't let everyone's words fool you. You still stand as... a bulwark." Perhaps people disrespected humanity, but they had no real reason. They perhaps only wanted to flaunt their own supernatural power. But humans didn't need supernatural power. It was all equalized in some way. "I understand your desire for respect. I feel the same disrespect for my own people. The Incubi--" he didn't even mention the Succubi, go figure. Raphael had a lot of hatred towards the Succubus, from his early childhood, and even later in life. "Are disrespected. Treated like we have no real feelings, like we're just sex slaves that people can come to own, use and abuse. Incubi have more compassion than almost any other race, always trying to make people feel better. We all just want a lifelong companion, so we find masters. But they just throw us away. All the time."
In his mind, no one cared about the Incubi. No one noticed the injustice they always faced. Not even themselves. Only he did. "They will come to respect my race, and they will bend on one knee. Perhaps many of us are docile and easy to possess, but the ones that are independent become extremely powerful. I can humiliate people, murder them, and turn them against each other. Without lifting a finger. I am the most powerful man in the world, and I'm an Incubus. People will come to respect us. And fear us." And as for humans... "And humans too. Out of all the races I know, I've come to love humanity the most. You're all so much more compassionate and selfless than the other races. Everyone else just wants their own happiness. They want to kill and torture and feed -- for fun. You have no such motivations." His arms fell back to his sides, and then he reached over to grasp Kirin's wrist. "So, you and I can rebuild the way the world thinks; reshape their image of our people. We can do it together. At the head of our glorious Empire." He smiled slightly, staring into Kirin's eyes. He hoped the boy would be invigorated rather than put off by Raphael's ambitions. He was willing to assist in the resurgence of the humans. All he asked for was Kirin's assistance with his own dreams as well.
So, this brought up an extremely difficult proposition. He figured now was the only time he could bother to ask it, though. Politically, it made a lot of sense. But personally, it was more complicated. "When you become Expert rank, would you like to join me? In leading Aramil, I mean. As... my fellow Emperor." As awkward as that question sounded, he couldn't help but see the use in it. It'd inflate Kirin's prestige, and make him more well-known, thus assisting with the sort of 'liberation' he wanted for his people. With the amount of work he did, anyway, he deserved it. And Raphael couldn't help but feel he should ask for personal reasons, too. As pathetic as it was, he would like for someone to sit beside him in the throne room again. Especially Kirin.

Kirin would quietly listen to the man before him listening to how all the humans were running the world for millennial after millennial which after a point made him few like he was being a child saying all of these things. It was just never in his life time did he ever see a human high up in the military and political food chain. The words in a since did make him feel decent until it had moved on to the part about his race. Listening to the words that had escaped his lord's mouth he could tell that the two had even more in common than they had thought before hand. Both of them had wanted respect for their races and honestly the undying respect that other had to give! The man had a dream a goal to where they were both willing to do whatever it toke to simply get it done. When he had went on about how he could do some much it slightly scared the man, knowing just how powerful he was now. When the man gripped his wrist Kirin would stay still not fighting it as he listen to what the man had to say before him. This idea of a empire that he would build with the king was something the young machinst had never dreamed of. Kirin would wait to the man before him was finished and start to smile with actually happy smile across his face, something he had not really shown fully in years. "You never had to ask me to stand by you... Even if you would not help me in my goal. Raphael, It would be a pleasure to lead beside you and with you on the mantel of the new empire." he said happily quickly moving his wrist around to grip the man's hand firmly and raising it up faintly where their forearms touched faintly.
The Incubus grinned, happy to hear that Kirin was willing to lead Aramil with him. It was certainly a bold request, as it was paramount to getting married. In fact, it pretty much was. But -- it didn't have to be like that. Even just that assurance that he had a companion this loyal to him brought reason back into his being. Raphael had so little a care for his life, and even if only for now, that was changed. "I made you Captain only some time ago," he started, as he stared proudly at his Emperor-to-be. "And within this short time, you've already captured my respect. I trust you more than anyone to bring our people happiness. And I trust that I can make you happy -- and that you can make me happy. Even if it's... not in that way," he laughed awkwardly. He would've noticed if Kirin felt something for him, but it didn't seem to be there in much abundance. Maybe that'd change over time. Maybe he was just infatuated with that... red lady. "Think of this last phase of your test as a proving for my hand. The only way you'll lead beside me is if you succeed. Remember that." He beckoned for Kirin to follow him, leading him by the hand. They traveled through the ruined village, following a trail of steps to the shore. There was a large cage there, with a man resting inside. He seemed desperate. He was sweating, bruised, and quite obviously hungry. It was a Mermaid. With Raphael's signal, the cage opened, and the man began to open his eyes. He stepped out slowly, staring at the two in front of him with a rage. "For the honor of leading the Empire with me, I ask you to kill this wicked beast." This 'wicked beast' was extremely powerful. Immediately upon exiting his cage, he already seemed rejuvinated. He used the Arm of the Queen, riding upon a swirling vortex of water. His body morphed into that of a maritime creature, and he began to smash forward with intense speed. He was a Mer that had undertaken the horrid rite of sacrificing their companion, which made him devastatingly strong.
(Base stats for this mer are quite high. He is of the ninja class, making him possess...
11 Speed, 10 Strength LOL. He has no summon, and a limited number of skills, but he has a lot of energy to spam water with, along with insane manipulation over water. Good luck.)

Kirin would follow behind the man slowly listening to his words about how he was happy to hear him to lead with him. Kirin was never one to think that he was getting it that simply and with the sight of the Mer in the kage he knew s**t was about to go down. Before the cage was opened Kirin lightly laided his hand on his blade and spoke up. "Raph.. I am not going to be your master from this... You are stronger with out the chain right? Incubus with them are surely weaker?."Glancing over to him sa the cage opens his helmet would close its teeth tightly. "I will not be this chain to you."he said proudly now facing his foe who came charging at him like a bat out of hell. Builder would stay beside his master wondering what the first plan was and he had already knew how he was fighting this thing. The speed of this thing gave him over three seconds to react at this time but that was useable as he started to count down the moment until he was at one second. Sudden something crazy would happen his armor left side would start expanding a purple gas around him. Now the Mer may think that gas itself would be used to knock him out but surely it was used for the sheer joy of keeping a smoke screen. When ever the creature would attack at this one second frame Kirin would quickly roll to the right tossing two loaded frags with a two second timer to it. All of which with the distance and the speed would explode within a 6 inch distance. See right as the Mer would come into strike Builder would launch off to the left quickly cloaking and stalking around the field ready to battle

The Incubus gave him an odd look. "Duh, I don't want a master." He found that all the masters he'd ever had never did s**t for him. They never made him happier, it only hurt when they were gone. If he was going to choose a master, it'd have to be with someone who loved him. Really loved him. Kirin was... a different sort of relationship than that. Anyway, it wasn't a good time to be having this conversation, as the Mer had gone on the aggressive. The viciously spinning water reduced the mist surrounding the Mer, and since it had already ascended high into the air using the Arm of the Queen, it didn't really find itself obstructed. The Mer pulled out a conch and began to listen to it, perfectly finding the location of Kirin and his builder. A strange little animal crawled out of the creature's hair, strangely enough, and held the conch to his ear, desperately. He'd be able to keep tabs on their location for as long as he could listen the sound of the air, and the water moisture. From inside of the smokescreen, a breeze of air swayed by, unlikely to be noticed by Kirin or builder. When the breeze drew near, nothing seemed to change at all. Kirin might feel safe in his shroud of smoke, but he was anything but safe.
The Mer solidifed the water when it got close enough to the human, turning it into a glob of water that was centimeters away from direct impact with Kirin's head. Contrary to its liquid form, it was incredibly dense, and it would be on par with smashing a sledgehammer against his head if it connected. The Mer continued to reign in the sky, charging up a behemoth of an ability. This was going to be the most fierce opponent Kirin would ever face. As for the grenades, the Mer twisted the water of the pillar, avoiding the initial impact almost entirely. The blast would also be locked around and covered by water, hardened to an impossible thickness, as the technique was A rank in power. Undoubtedly, while the Mer would stumble, he would continue to loom over them.

His eyes had widen when he saw the orb of water smack into his helmet causing him to roll off to the side. Quickly rolling across the ground he knew that this son of b***h was going to be something he would have to actually beat the ******** down. Builder's scans on the man had seemed to pull up the fact that he was using some kind of seashell to his hear. Very interesting indeed now that was noted. Quickly drawing his left magnum with his AP round loaded in the chamber he knew that he would have to get a clear shot on the being quickly. Quickly the mechanist would keep his HUD locked on this being making sure to take in all he could as he started fire a round towards the chest of the flying mer that had been thrown off balance. This was mostly a test shot but the stumble would hopefully help him out even if the damn water tries stopping it the AP round was meant to go through metal with ease. With Builder being his spotter as he moved around the battlefield he knew this would be something interesting to see. And there it was with the stumble on top of the pillar, this guy's defence was great with this kind attack power he knew this could turn to s**t real quick.

The Mer seemed to disappear entirely, though the pillar still stood. It was a strange wonder where he'd gone, although that wonder was quickly put aside as he revealed himself. The pillar contorted to lunge at Kirin, with the Mer launching out at ridiculous speed. The ground around Kirin totally froze, which would certainly distract him and builder, as their feet would very quickly become stuck. The ice beneath Kirin's feet would quickly be manipulated, sharpening into spikes of ice and attempting to impale into his leg. The Mer drew closer still as this happened, though they stopped before getting within eight feet of Kirin. The conch recognized some disturbance, and he could hear it very clearly. Suddenly, there were six images of the Mermaid, and it became lost as to which was the real one. Two of them leaped forward to see what sort of defense Kirin had going on, and one of the Mer held his hands very close together, watching patiently.

The HUD sudden lost track of the Mer causing Builder and Kirin to wonder what the ******** had just happened. The pillar had started to move towards Kirin and with the ground below him suddenly turning to ice things were getting much more interesting. Before the ice could even begin to form spikes the tongue of builder sudden launched out towards the Kirin launching him out of the way quickly. This had dropped the cloak itself but also gave Kirin enough speed to toss a grenade towards the incoming group of Mer. First few things that would run through the mind of the man was that this Mer had ninjustu abilites meaning he was a ninja. ******** great. All this taking place within a four second time frame The grenade would be launched at the second mark and Kirin would quickly land beside Builder at the four second mark. These Mer were tricky but so was Kirin was he slide his hand across the back of Builder as the two mer came at him. Three seconds. The grenade would have gone off at the ground behind the two assulting mer leaving him with Builder to fling two of his knives from his ammo Holders at the one point five second mark. Kirin himself would grip his blade ready to see what was coming next. Something would start to be sent through the coms of both of the two being as this had taken place

The images hit by the grenades dispersed, disappearing as if they never had solid form in the first place. The Mer used the distraction of the blast to perform a very tricky move. He dashed behind Builder, at a ridiculous speed. The icy ground didn't bother him as much as it'd bother them, so it was only a tiny hindrance. The Mer suddenly then disappeared, and most likely unbeknownst to them, he entered Builder's shadow. The remaining few after-images dashed after Kirin, striking at him with tonfa and blade, distracting him from the Mer. The sea-faring beast rose up from behind Builder, a massive blast of water unleashing from his body. This water quickly became more dense, packing enough punch to puncture and possibly crush Builder if it managed to infiltrate his armor. Crashing downwards, this mass amount (20 gallons) of water looked to destroy the robot within only seconds.

The HUD on Builder quickly would change up as the knives had seemed to have simply phase through the two images meaning that the real one was over near the explosion. Launching off towards the group before him without thinking about behind him with the sudden sound of water behind them meaning only one thing. The cord from Builder would launch out once more dragging him foreword enough for the tops of his armor lose the fresh paint that Kirin had just placed on it. The advanced A.I. thinking system only needed less than a second to process the danger and react much faster than any normal being. Builder had lit up the display map noting this being right as soon as the water was made soild. While this had played out the Mer coming towards him were coming in force and Kirin had enough of this bullshit. Kirin lobed three frags towards the Mer and sprinted off the shore heading towards the village itself. His energy had started to build up inside the suit as he started to make this rush for the grassy land. Builder would quickly begin to run towards it as well making sure that the path he toke gave him a good distance between the mer and him. This would give him the back vision he needed

The Mer hardened up all of the water surrounding them, and used Kaminae's Glass Ball to prevent any infliction from the grenades. After the explosions had resolved, it released the icy barrier around itself, to witness that Kirin and his little dog were bolting. The Mer had no interest in fighting the human; it just wanted to go home. Be free. Rather than pursue, it used its extreme speed to run back to the shore, and leaped high into the air; it wanted to get as far away from here as possible. However, Raphael was quick to react, and rushed a horrible ray of lightning into the water. The reaction surged, through the surface, and would most likely seriously wound the Mer if it continued with entering the body of water. So, it took the initiative to return into the fight, since that was obviously what this King wanted. The Mer disappeared again, jumping into the shadow of a tree, right outside of the village. It tried to watch closely, the actions of its opponent. He must've been trying to lure him into a trap.
Nevertheless, he wouldn't be able to escape. The only option he could think of was simply sitting by the beach. Maybe trying to diplomatically communicate with the King to let him go. Or maybe it was all for nothing. Raphael quickly followed behind him, lightning running rampant around his body, even striking down some trees that he passed by. It was obvious that he was telling him he had no escape. So, rather than try to escape, he did something very desperate. The Mer used the Arm of the Queen to loom over the village once more, and then began to charge a very powerful technique. It would be so devastating that Raphael might even intervene, if pressed. With Seashores, he felt he could assimilate the location of the human. If he was wrong, then he was screwed, as this would take an immense amount of energy.

The Hud had suddenly updated with video feed coming from builder to show that the Mer had stopped on the shore giving the notion that he was not going to follow him thanks to what Raph had just performed behind him. So this was how this fight was going to be huh? Raph was forcing Kirin to fight this enemy on their grounds to where he had no chance in hell of close combat with this guy... or did he. Kirin would quickly arc to hide behind one of the buildings Builder coming around from the other side hiding against it with him. From what they had predicted sticking close to the wall for the moment would be the best idea as they had regrouped their plan not going into it with out a plan. Using the roofing to their gain the two would soon be seen racing back towards the shore with Kirin's sword unsheathed as he headed towards the shores once more. They stayed close this time like they had plan and seeming ready to take on this thing. Builder had spotted the Mer right off the bat due to its height. Bingo The Mer's attention would be on the two beings racing towards him and not on the human who snukc out from behind the building a few moments later quickly on fire a single shot. The speical thing about this was it was no bullet and it was no ******** rocket. Pure Light Energy condised into a single shot. This shot would not make a sound but it would launch faster than any bullet with the sheer strength rip through his water. Kirin had charged his Laser on retreat it had seemed but all he was really doing was seeing if he could try and get the mer to do something stupid like so. Even with his speed he would not pick up the laser in time to dodge a shot to the torso. Plus the seashell would have no effect if they were not on the shoreline or not even touching the sands so the projection that ran with builder would not be mistaken as a trick even with his ninja arts

The Mer didn't seem to notice a thing until it was too late. He saw a tiny glimmer of light, and then he'd been shot through the chest. The blow wasn't going to be immediately fatal, but he could feel it inside. His life was fading, and he could feel the sea calling to him. His eyesight went blurry, almost flickering white. He could barely maintain the Arm of the Queen, and so after a few moments, it dispersed. He fell to the floor, limping and crawling on the ground, branches and thorns lodged into his body. He coughed out blood, and began to gag horribly, unable to breathe. He didn't even believe he could take vengeance, as the light faded and so did his ability to move. The Mer dipped his hand into his chest, and began to smear his blood onto his forehead. Then, his cheek, his nose, and his chin. He chanted loudly for a moment, and then exhaled deeply. He rose from the ground, and began to dash for the sea, hoping to at least be able to die where he was born. As he went, though, it became apparent that even an order bound from his vessel wouldn't make him capable of the impossible. Before reaching the shore, he collapsed, closed his eyes, and entered the second life, the grand implosion star he held between his fingers detonating, horribly contorting his bones before crushing them with an infallible force. -RIP-
The Emperor walked into the town, tracking Kirin with his omnipotence. He pat his Captain on the shoulder, and admired his achievement. "Well done, Kirin." Mer were quite ferocious of beasts, and that one was particularly powerful. He didn't honestly expect for Kirin to beat him so handily. "With the power invested in me, I declare you an Expert of Aramil. And --" He placed each of his hands on the man's shoulders, and looked him firmly in the eyes. "I invest that same power into you, shaping you into my fellow Emperor. We're going to change the world together, Kirin. You and me." The Incubus gave his friend a strong hug, lifting him up into the air and spinning him around a little. This was a proud moment for Raphael, in many aspects. It was nice to see Kirin excel, and know that he could go even further. "So, are we going to go on some fancy Imperial honeymoon back to Aramil," he asked sarcastically, "Or would you like to continue our work in Val'Ghast? I'd say that things here are not quite sorted, and I'd like to make the situation more stable for these people." Plus, it'd be a big deal when they went back. They'd have to endure all of this celebratory crap regarding Kirin sitting with Raphael on the throne, and integrating parts of Val'Ghast...
He didn't feel like partying, really. Spent too much time wasted to go waste more. "If you want to go back home, though, it's fine with me." Raphael probably wouldn't be able to integrate any more villages, as he couldn't work a 'monster net' or whatever for his life, but at least he could... kill more monsters. Or something.

Kirin had stood there watching as the Mer had stayed there for a moment in the air and would soon drop towards the ground like a fallen star. The mechanist had slowly raised his hands to his helmet twisting it slowly letting a long hiss escaping his helmet as it came off his head. It rolled off his hands on to the ground as he had taken a deep breathe of air for a moment taking in what the ******** had just went on. That Mer had been an a been something that had Kirin's heart actually pounding inside his chest. The moments builder almost had gotten crushed and the sheer strength of his foe he had fought. Kirin had seemed caught in this daze for a few moments before the hand of his friend came to snap him out causing him to blink a few times. Hearing the words escape his lips Kirin had smiled weakly as he heard all that he had to say about until the hug had gripped him. Oh yes what last bit of energy had escaped Kirin's body at this point to where he let out a weak laugh and hugged the man back in return before speaking up. "Haha! Trust me it sounds like a blast but I am about to fall over dead.. " the man had said weakly with a smile as he released from the bone shattering hug, his armor would need to get the dents of out of it. "I need some rest. The raids, coming here and destroying an entire monster population. Setting up this defense net for the giant children and hell that sad b*****d on the ground."he said laughing again Rubbing the back of his head he would see Ares rushing towards the village with rifle ready but soon lowers it as builder comes beside him to speak about what had just went on. His face kind of softened as he thought about the little guy, he had almost lost him because he was being reckless! Jesus he had no idea how that was going to work without builder or how he would do anything without him. Sighing softly he would look at Raph with a smile."Rain check on that honeymoon?"
