"I'm sorry.. I touched on something sensitive while writhing in my own bitterness. Please, forgive me.. I'd rather look back on this encounter as a happy, pleasant one, rather than one that could be seen as unpleasant." A random thought popped into his head, and he reached out to take the finished piece from Arian, rolling it around in his hands, looking over every part of it.

"It's very lovely.. I'm sure my cousin will love it! I just thought of something, a little Hindi prayer. It goes 'May the Lord protect us, both guru and disciple, may he cause us to enjoy the supreme, May we exert together. May our studies be through and faithful. May we never quarrel/hate each other.' I dunno why it crossed my mind.. Maybe because of you know, you being my guru, or teacher, and me being your student. Granted, I can't think of a reason why we would hate one another. There's actually many, many prayers in regards to teachers. To learn, in itself, is an art, as is teaching. I think that's why when another teacher told me to read books instead of searching people out, I refused."

"I think.. Just a plain, black chord would work well for this. or perhaps a color more suited for the boy.. We'll have to see. I'm sure if you meet him, he'll want to learn as well."

Arian shook his head "It's okay" he said in response to to Isha's apology; after all it wasn't like the other knew that he had a strained relationship with his father. "You’re the first person that’s ever asked me for lesson though" he continued as he deliberately changed what was an awkward subject.

He listened as Isha recited the little prayer, "That's a lovely prayer" before quirking his slight smile. "Although there’s no way that I can myself a guru" he was nowhere near. "There's a lot that I’m still learning myself. Especially since there's a lot of things that you can turn into jewellery."

Retrieving his notepad he wrote down the promised addresses of both Sparklespot and the The Beaded Garden, although he had to cross check the Sparklespot address with the one in his phone contacts, it was as he was pushing the paper across to Isha that he noticed that the piece of paper had a few earring doodles from one of his brainstorming times. "Sorry for the messy doodles," his voice was slightly apologetic. "This notepad tends to double as an idea-sketching notepad."

"That. What you just said. I get that alot! I try to ask people who may not be so likely to have taught before. A first time for anything, you know. And I'd like to think by having other people teach me like that, they are learning more about themselves as a teacher too." The change of subject didn't go unnoticed, but it didn't matter. It wasn't that important of a subject anyway.

"I think many people misinterpret that word. Yes, it can be someone who's mastered something, and is an expert. But it can also be someone who you trust to teach and guide you. In America, the word seems to have such a negative connotation to it, yet the true word is far more precious than most people think." Guru.. Yes, it was slowly becoming lost in the American's view of it, in Isha's opinion. With all these health fanatics and get-rich-quick schemes having people in charge using that word, it was no wonder why it was perceived the wrong way.

"Ah, thank you." Giving the handed piece of paper a quick look over, he folded it neatly, placing it into a pocket on the side of his bag. He would have to remember to make a quick stop at them at some point. Hopefully sooner than later.

"I rather like the drawings, no need to sound so apologetic! To me, the little drawings cause this meeting to be a bit more endearing and personable."

"I didn't know that" Arian admitted. "In the UK if you call someone a guru, then you kind of expect them to have mastered their chosen field and be an expert at it." It didn't seem to have the negative connotations back there that Isha was suggesting that it had over here in the States.

Then again Arian wasn't a health fanatic - it would have been pretty counter-productive at any rate given his sweet tooth and lack of any inclination to give up eating sweet treats. "Anyway I meant no offence by it and I apologise if I caused any - I just didn't want to claim credit for something I wasn't."

He absently tugged at his braid, as Isha mentioned liking the drawings "I guess I'm trying to be organised about all of this" he admitted at last, his wry words referring to the brief lesson. "Despite the fact that I'm doing it all on the fly. I'll try to make the next lesson more structured though."

A thought occurred to him "Did I ever give you my mobile number? Ah I mean cell phone." He'd called from the apartment phone which meant that it was likely that he hadn't. although it would probably make arranging the next lesson easier if Isha had it.

did you want to start to move towards a wrap for this one?

"Ah! You apologize so much, my friend! It's not a problem at all, please, don't worry yourself over it. As refreshing as it is to meet someone as considerate as yourself, I'd like to think we can not only be student and teacher, but friends as well." The drink in his hand was nearly empty, as time passed by far more quickly than he had initially though. But that was alright, he certainly enjoyed the time spent with the kind young man before him.

"All of your effort is appreciated, thank you. But no, I never did receive your cellphone number. If you'd like to share it, that would be great! I think this meeting was pretty productive, right?"

"Well I can certainly rectify that" Arian said as he printed out the number on another piece of paper and tore it neatly out of the notepad before passing it across to Isha, "It will make setting up another session easier."

As he passed the piece of paper across, it occured to him that this was probably the third bit of paper with things written on it that he'd passed to the other teen and that it probably would have been better if he'd just written everything on the one sheet, it was a thing to consider for next time though, at least as long as he remembered it was.

Cell phone number given out, Arian started to absently push the used bits of clipped wire together, sorting through them so that he could add the larger (and therefore potentially reusable) bits of wire to the bits that hadn't been used.

"I've enjoyed today" he admitted quietly. Despite having thought that they were just going to discuss lessons, Isha had been pretty sweet and had gone about the whole thing enthusiastically, despite everything pretty much being on the fly. "I hadn't realised that it had gotten so late" it was a musing thought more than anything else.

It would be fun to do another session he decided as he started to tidy up the leftovers from the lesson from the table, although Arian was determined that next time round he'd plan it out so that Isha got a proper lesson - after all there was more to basic jewellery-making than bead drops.

hope this works as an Arian closer, let me know if you'd like me to change anything and I'd love more rp.

"Yeah, thanks." Instead of immediately pocketing the number, Isha pulled out his cellphone, putting the number in there right away, so that he wouldn't forget to do so. Not that Arian was all that forgettable! No, it's more like his bag was rather cluttered and there wasn't quite room for everything NOT to get lost.

"I've really enjoyed today too. It may seem overly done to say, but.. I guess time really does fly when you're having fun." The boy slipped down from his chair, going over to give the other a little pat on the shoulder. He wanted nothing more than to offer him another chance to meet, as friends, not just as student and teacher. He could just imagine the fun times they could have together, going out and doing who knows what but just enjoying it. The offers just couldn't leave his lips.. Not now, it wasn't the time.. It would best to just leave it as formally as possible. The least amount of affections established, the easier it would be for them to become friends when everything changed.

"I'll call you again soon, okay? Thanks for your time, and I look forward to our next meeting." Offer nothing else but a little smile, Isha walked towards the exit, the little gem they made together still rolling around his hand.

And that's an End for me!
