Slowly, Meph floated to the Charizard and sent a small Nightshade its way. Whether it was actually hurt or more annoyed was not known, either reason, the Charizard flew away.
"That is one cranky charizard," Squishy hummed, shaking her head. Maybe he didn't like them being in the cave? Well, he could have just asked them to leave!
She shuffled into the next room, having a look around to see if there was anything interesting.
Meph nodded, his single eye bobbing back and forth as he examined the next area. "Maybe next time we should give it something to appease it?" Would a cranky Charizard want a stick? He doubted it.

He spotted something familiar as he floated up to it and picked it up. "Another vial of water to join our search."

Squishy chuckled. If she hadn't been a fire type, they still would have been perfectly fine, it seemed. There was plenty of water hanging out in the rooms they visited. Left behind by some other pokemon? maybe. Whatever the case, it was very helpful.
Though not so much for her. She didn't really need water.
"Let's see what's in here," she hummed, moving into another room.

She had accidentally walked in on a zubat trying to nom on a bug of some kind. It got away and he did not look happy about it.

A stern talking to put him in his place, and Squishy sent him on his way after showing him who was really the boss. She was a kind slugma, but that didn't mean she tolerated rude antics.
Meph felt a little bad about the zubat losing his lunch, but was happy that Squishy was able to take care of it when it attacked her. "Gooood job." He cheered before looking into the next room

Wow... it's been awhile since Meph seen the Slugma. Though, there was no way of knowing it was the same one as before. Either way, it did seem to want him out of the room as it slowly slithered it's way over.

Since the Slugma was going so slow, Meph was easily able to go around it and follow Squishy.

Squishy was happy that the slugma wasn't too much trouble for Meph. She wouldn't have liked him getting hurt. She had to wonder if grass types ever came into the caves- it looked very dangerous for them.
She sighed and moved into the next room.

Thankfully, the charizard swung wild and ran right into a wall, giving Squishy the chance to slam him in the side and send him off whimpering.
