"Well if you're so interested, you go figure it out. Go hunt her down. I'm sure there's only like one thousand red heads in Halloween." Lou sat the tray down away from him and rolled over to his side, away from the mermaid.

She made a face as he rolled away from her.
She reached over and pushed him the rest of the bed off before leaning over to look at him on the floor.
"And maybe I will go ask every single redhead in Halloween until I find her." Amphi rested her chin on her hand. "It's not like I have to worry about you stopping me."

Lou's body made a loud 'thump' as it hit the hard floor. He didn't shout or yell. Just... 'thump'.
There was some shuffling as he maneuvered himself to sit up. "And what if you don't like what you find?" His arms rested on the sides of the mattress, eyes staring up at her intensely. "You say you're not strong, so why butt into things that could be potentially dangerous?"

"What if you don't like what I have to find?" The question turned around on him before hesitating, "Because I'm stronger when it concerns people I like Lou. I'm not strong for myself, but I am for others." She flushed a little.
"Do you think it'll be dangerous?"

What if he really didn't like what she had to find?
Perhaps, at the core of the problem, that's why Lou didn't want to even bother. He had such a good thing going right now. He was happy, he was carefree, and it seemed that no matter what he did, nothing changed that. He was living in a fool's paradise, completely unaware of the smoke and mirrors that held his fantasy in place.
The thoughts twisted and churned through the vampire's head like an infectious flesh eating disease, though he tried not to convey this physically. "I thought you only half-liked me." He teased, though he did not grin as he usually would.
"Well, you can't expect such a puzzle to be complete without a set of boobie traps here and there." hah, he said boobie.

Regardless of his thought process, Amphi was beginning to feel like her questions were making the vampire think about it. The long pause before he answered made her smile as she looked down at him. Finally...Finally maybe Lou would think about it.
Find out about his past. Just like one day she would be strong enough to find her own out.
The grin didn't fully meet his face, and the words, regardless of teasing were softer. Something she didn't expect.
She was starting to think she was having a bigger impact on it than she thought she did.
"I did." She shrugged, "You won't let me call you friend, Or partner in crime or anything. So I just have to be more direct with my feelings. I care about you, this is true. But only because you are annoyingly close to me for some reason...plus you are adorable...in your bat form...." She lifted her head up, flushing a little as she ran her hands through her hair. A nervous habit of course. "But I still only half like you, because sometimes I really hate you too."
She sighed, "I'm not very good at puzzles, but I think I want to at least try. Besides, if you find your creator, maybe you'll find out lots more about yourself. Or maybe if I find your creator, she can teach me more about vampire things. i don't know, possibilities."

"You shouldn't." He rested his head on his arms. Caring about him was like trying to give a crocodile braces. No matter how good or bad it might be for the animal, the results could only end in catastrophe for the amateur dentist in question.
"But while you're busy caring, you could totally prove it to me by letting me get to second base with you." Oh lordy yes.
Lou decided to completely ignore her efforts to keep him interested in learning about himself and follow the conversational latter instead. "What other vampire things could you possibly want to know?"

"Second base? What does that mean?" She knew bases were like...No wait she didn't know let's be honest. Roch never termed their relationship as bases, and instead steps of getting closer to each other. But if she thought about it..."You want to cuddle?" Was that second base? She was okay with that.
"What makes you turn into a vampire? Do you lose your fangs? Why do you need blood? Maybe there are different type of vampires! Like ones that feed off emotions or something. How long do they live, Are they always cold?" She started to ramble off questions.
This would take awhile.
She also forgot about second base.

"It is one of the ultimate displays of affection." Lou said simply in a matter-of-fact tone. Obviously there was reason to be vague in such a scenario.
Wait, cuddling?
The vampire's face scrunched up at her suggestion. What was this bullshit? Cuddling, really? What did he look like, a body pillow? Or a kushi maybe?
He opened his mouth to most likely say something offensive, but stopped as soon as he realized that...
... Boobs.
Lou could be close to boobs.
His face returned to a calm and cool expression. "Yeah, sure. Lets ********' cuddle." He would cuddle the hell out of you, Amphi.
Without waiting for an invitation, Lou hopped back on the bed. "Why are you so interested in vampires anyways?" Besides the fact that they were AWESOME.

"Ultimate display of affection?" She cocked her head, moving back as he jumped up. Then it was something you did with your boilfriend and thus, Lou would never see second base with the mermaid because they weren't dating.
She waited until he was comfortable before resting her back against his chest and staring at the aquarium wall of her room.
"Because you're one of the first species I met that also bites people? Except you take blood, we'd take flesh if we could. I was wondering if maybe for some odd reason mermaids and vampires germed from the same FEAR." She took his arms to settle around her middle like a seat belt and turned her head up to look at him. "I can tell you everything about a mermaid if you want to know."
:'D Clearly she didn't feel any danger in cuddling.

"Ayup." Was all Lou said as she acknowledged his definition. The boil watched carefully as she practically used him as an appendage-possessing pillow. Oh, this was perfect. Just... Perfect.
"Same FEAR. Uh huh." The vampire pretended to be interested in her speaking shenanigans, though his eyes weren't focused on hers. What they were focused on, however, were also round.
Oh, she had made a suggestion. Better think of something quick. "Do all mermaids have a big rack?"
... Well. it was out there now. His hands crept up her stomach ever so carefully, hoping she wouldn't notice.

She shifted until she hit a more comfortable spot, a little weirded out for a moment that his body was much colder than Roch's or Danny's. It wasn't bad, just different.
"Yeah Same FEAR! Like did humans get vampires from a mermaid who was biting flesh and it looked like she was sucking blood? Or maybe a vampire who disappeared in the ocean so they just called it a mermaid. It sounds silly but it would be really funny at the same time. It'd explain a lot of things about humans too..." Her voice drifted off at his question, sincerely thinking about it.
She didn't notice his hands because let's admit it, thinking was a full body experience for Amphi.
"I...I don't think we all do! Undine, she was my sister that pass had average size? But Gabriella has really small ones and Hestia has really BIG ones. Like bigger than mine! She doesn't even fit in seashell bra's! her's are more like free and covered with like...starfish." She described. "But I think our beauty is always above average. We are meant after all, to entrance human males."

"I think you think too much about these things." Lou mumbled. Who cared if vampires and mermaids were related? "Don't forget the fact that we're from two different factions. I'm dead. You're very clearly not." Mmmm. And she was so warm.
But no, please do keep talking about your family's boobs Amphi. Lou was enjoying the mental images. "Uh huh. I think you could say more than just human males." Creep... Creep... Creep went the hands. Just a little closer. He could almost feel the softness.

Her face fell, how could two species stem from the same FEAR stem if they were different factions. They couldn't really." And he was very dead, hence the cold body.
"More than human males?" She looked up over at him, "I don't know, there is a lot prettier species-What are your hands doing." She felt the tickle along her rib cage, slowly and further creeping their way up. Her face turned red instantly as she wiggled, "Lou you can't." Her hands automatically came down to take his hands away from where ever they were trying to creep.
"Are...Are you trying to feel me up?" there might've been a small whine. "But Lou we are cuddling." Cuddlign was a SACRED ACT LOU. OF INNOCENCE.

Lou figured she could think about things all she wanted, but it helped nothing if they were thoughts in a dead end direction anyways.
Whelp. He had been caught. Couldn't say he didn't see that coming. The vampire let out a grump sound as she grabbed his hands. "But fish liiiips, they're right there. Staring at me. I can hear them talk. They say 'oh mister lou oh, just one touch, she'll never notice.' and I say 'nooooooooo-oookay'." It shouldn't surprise anyone that he was doing his best impression of a lady as he mimicked what her chest apparently said.
His hands grasped hers momentarily, since she already had a hold on them. "Why don't you roll over so they won't taunt me so?"
