Robayn
Our fundraising thread was in disarray because (as you pointed out as a possibility) our fundraising committee leader had to step down. Up to that point she was amazing and was doing a very good job, but the burden of having a very small committee and then her RL ended up meaning she had to step down.
It was very short notice and by the time you joined Spotted and I were still in the process of figuring out what to do with the committee, so thank you very much for the help you provided. As I have said before, you were an essential part of getting that part of the ball back on track!
P.S. I will be a bully if I want to!
Kay9214 Oh, and I'd like to suggest Robayn stop using the announcements as her personal bully pulpit to influence us poor underlings as she's not even Main Host anymore. emotion_donotwant I'm kidding. This part was a joke, I'm sorry Robayn. crying There was a lack of official standardized threads either way that would have helped, as was there with the rooms' forums and others, at least when I was there... >.<

So! From what I have seen so far, this years planning seems pretty unorganized, it seems we ask for a bunch of suggestions and the thread turns into a huge jumbled mess. So i was thinking to help organize is when we actually get the collaborations together, we get a designated coder (I totally volunteer: I'm really good at coding things in an organized manner as such: Hopes Coding Magicks) Detailing the finelines and highlights of each idea in each thread. Then have an actual vote poll, and give it a few weeks to get voted upon... LIke Theme Suggestions would be one Host Nominations would be another stuffs like that.

I would just like to point out to everyone it has been TWO days since our event. Yes, we are unorganized right now; but some of us would like to take a break. If you haven't participated before we love your suggestions; but please give the rest of a break. After a week or so, we can get the ball rolling again and starting getting organized. Your suggestions are helpful and much appreciated. Thank you for volunteering as well.

I'm speaking from my experience with the 11th Guild since April, not just popping in here one day. I know it's day two. I'm talking about down the line. I'm not talking about things right now.

I was assuming, going by the title and first post, that the suggestions is what I was supposed to put up there. I wasn't saying like right this instant. I was actually volunteering to be a coder for organization for later on when things are more heady in the organization factor. Soooo.... Yeah. Idk. I just... feel bad now. Lol.

Mahou Shoujo Usako I suggested it before, but I'll suggest it again officially now:
I would like to suggest a new role for the next ball called "Advisor", the role would be the same as a floating co-host, except they will be based primarily in a Specified Question and Answer thread. This way we could focus all Questions on one place and save the hosts a lot of time answering questions that the other staff could answer instead. This person would have to be quite knowledgeable about the ball and preferably be someone who is on quite often during the ball. When the Advisor isn't on, then the thread could be watched by staff who have time.
Saw Saphire6 doing that a lot!! I like the idea. About floaters, I think a better listing on who's a floaer, and also, each host sending out to the floaters a "preview" of how their rooms would be can help a lot. Myself had much less time I thought I would have to partake, and had to read each room theme carefully. Should I had this beforehand it would save me a lot of time.

Do you mean a preview of what theme the room will be and it's plot? Because each room has it's own forum and the plot and theme both can be found within. It's almost always very apparent in one of the announcement threads at the top (or near) of those forums which threads contain that kind of information.

Thread coding is a great skill and you have an amazing talent for it~ However, that's not something that every thread would need within the guild. I like coding, I wouldn't have a problem with it, but I also appreciate the art of simplicity (especially in threads that are temporary, like the host nomination thread.)
@ EVERYONE:
We will get MUCH more organized as the week, and month, go on. Much of this organization doesn't happen until after the Main Host is selected, however, because every Main Host has their own idea (based on what they have seen work and what they have seen flop in previous years) of how to organize.
For example, the 10th year had a small number of crew members who made much of the executive decisions behind the scenes whereas the 11th was a number of committees and that was simply based on Host preference.
Once the Main Host has been selected the guild will be organized. There are plenty of funds for more subforums, of which we will use for things like advertising and fundraising, which are already up, and anything else the Host thinks should be categorized. Each room will also have its own forum where they can plan their room out without getting mixed up with anyone else.
So no worries~ All things in time ^__^
(and don't feel bad! This thread is for suggestions of all kinds and we wouldn't have it open if we didn't want to hear them (: )

I did a lot of Question answering...just I setup my own threads for it *nods*...I ran the Guest Book, Introduce Yourself + Questions and a few other threads...I was also a floating co-host. As for the info on the rooms, it was available in advance in the subsections of the last guilds forum.
