"Do you even know what happened to your other so called friends?" Her younger self taunted, throwing another punch to her side. Olivia stepped back it, watching the little girl. "Amarus, Willow, Faus, Oura. Have you even seen them since?" The little girl's tone was so vile.
It made Olivia frown as she heard those words again, "and you call yourself a friend. If I were still alive -"
But those words were stopped short as Olivia through a punch to that little face, "You're wrong!" She yelled, "I am happy. And I know they're all still special to me." Her tone serious, unwavering, her eyes narrowed. She watched in silence as the impact started to crack, crumble and then shatter all together like glass. That self was gone...

He grimaced at the other self as it opened it's mouth to speak again, fighting to get it's hand loose. "No. Shut it." His voice was commanding enough to halt his other self, showing off a bit of that confidence that was probably beaten into him for years. He couldn't be sure.
"I am NOT- It doesn't matter here." It didn't. Not at all. And with that he shoved his other self back, which, because of a certain mirror getting in the way, left him a bit hurt. And Olivia? Well her other self was gone.

Right, that other self was wrong. It was all a lie, right? He grimaced at it, shaking his head a bit. "It doesn't matter here." He repeated. That was the past, and the past could lay dead and gone for all he cared. He was doing fine without it.
So with that, just as the other younger version of him was working to get back on it's feet he swiped soundly at it with his scythe, watching it dissipate into nothingness as he hit it.
His other self was long gone.

What Molans' child had fought him over, she wouldn't know having not paid much attention of mind. They had defeated these angry selves (so much rage in a tiny form was a little sad), perhaps it was meant to get past these issues. Even though she didn't feel like her's was much of one. But maybe there was some truth, but she meant her final words. She was happy.
And happier still as scattered in the remains of the glass was a red key. Olivia bent down and plucked it from the ground, and held it up to Molan.
"I suppose this means we are done with this floor," she simply stated.

He huffed at it all, letting his scythe fade once more into the lock. He... was better off without it, right?
He paused as Olivia moved to pick up the key, noting that she looked just a little more beaten up. "It hit you..?" Kind of a given, but he looked a bit sad about it, slowly following after. He didn't have any way to deal with it, but...
Ah well. "Yes, let's go find the door then." He replied, slowly starting back toward where they'd seen the stairs, pausing briefly a moment as he mused. Then offered a small smile to replace the grave look he'd had. He held out his hand lightly as he looked back. It was normal afterall, right? "Let's go."

The Third Floor
A black door with music coming from behind it.
The music swells and fades as you step inside. Instantly you a greeted by a small, rather excited gargoyle. Its wings flutter in delight as it takes you in. "Oh excellent! Excellent! I've been just dying to see some knew blood here, all the others are lead-footed and have terrible taste in everything. Now what's your style? I can keep up with anything, and wow! A new routine! We're going to have to make a whole new routine for this, how exciting!" It claps its hands and then gives you a very firm hug. Because it's made of rock. See what happened there?
"Go on you! Go touch the record-o-thing-player-whatsit, and it'll find a good song for us all to dance to!" It beams happily and urges you with an impatient hand gesture. "If you do well, I'll give you a nice reward! And if you do badly," the room seems to grow a bit dim, "...well you know what they say, no gain, get pain. Because grievous bodily harm is an artist's greatest motivator! I'm Dreary Day Raven Sway, by the by, I'm sure we're gonna be great friends!"

Writing Prompt:
A near blinding spotlight hits you as you enter the room, and you're met with a lazy sort of applause. You're standing on a stage, and through the lights you can just barely make out about a dozen or gargoyles in theatre seats, staring up at you. Another stands nearby on the stage, a microphone in hand, "Aaaaaaand now! Our next act it the wonderful, fabulous, extremely entertaining..." it leans over and asks, "...uh....This Guy!" It jazzhands off the stage and leaves you standing there in front of the crowd.
It takes a moment, but something familiar and special begins to creep into you. You find your body moving almost on its own and suddenly you're showing off a talent or skill from your previous life. It may be a large thing, it make be a small thing, but it's yours and you're damn good at it. When you need a prop or instrument, you find one suddenly in reach at just the right moment.
It begins to feel good to be up there, amazing even. The gargoyles sit up and pay attention, and soon enough applause and cheers fill the air until finally everything stops and your performance is done. Confetti rains down from the ceiling. The emcee places a plastic crown on your head and hands you a trophy featuring a single black key and the a placard that reads: You're Super Talented!
A gold door with several feathers sticking out from under it.
A wall of fog blocks your sight for a moment before a burst of wing clears it just enough to give you a nice view of the monstrous raven as it dives down to attack. Its eyes blaze with a familiar madness.
You are fighting an Insanity Raven! HP: 20 Auto Attack: 3 Extra: this enemy is evasive and skilled at hiding! Increase your damage modifier for regular attacks by 2! (ex: if rolling 2d8, subtract (6+2) = 8 instead of 6 from your total)

"I'll be fine," Olivia told Molan as they used the three keys to unlock the doors to the next floor. His sad look wasn't missed and she simply gave him a stare, hadn't he as well? They both must be a bit sore, though given she was attacked by a shark....
Olivia gave him a reassuring smile then turned to the doors before them. One seemed to have lights around it while the other had muffled music coming from within. "Which one would you like?"

And up they went, carefully opening the locks together. Easy enough. He nodded as they kept going up and then paused as they reached the next area. Ah... right. He glanced over the doors, one being noise the other rather bright on the other side. Well... "I guess... I can try that one?" He stated curiously to her.
He then moved forward, placing his hand on the knob and opening it and flinching at the noise. Ears down. "Uhg..." Whoever was inside had no sense of taste. Still, he gave her one last forced smile before vanishing inside. And with a click the door was closed again behind him. It seemed safe enough either way.
He spotted the gargoyle who, was all to chummy for his own liking right away. Or perhaps was greeted by it as it moved over to hug him. "Less touching." He stated, sort of edging the thing away from him as he moved over. "So I have to dance?" It wasn't exactly his thing, but at least it didn't sound too hard, aside from the... last comment.
....it should be fine. "I get it. Let me try then."
And with that he lightly tapped the machine. And on came a song he didn't expect. Not at all. Oh goddess hopefully Olivia couldn't hear it. What would possess it to think that he would dance to something like THAT? Seriously, it sounded like some hyped up little boy band singing about feelings and-
THIS WAS NOT LIKE HIM AT ALL!
Sadly, it was too late and the gargoyle was already rounding over curiously. Pain sounded bad, so he'd wing it. Surprisingly, the choreography came fairly easily for him even as he worked to mimic the poses and moves of the gargoyle to try and keep beat. It was sloppy, far from perfect, but passable.
How, and WHY did he know how to dance in a style befitting a teen popstar? WHO DID THIS? And he was going to have to have a SERIOUS talk with them about that sometime. This was unacceptable.
...at least it was until after a the full song the gargoyle was clapping briefly before apparently taking the dance type as an idea and-
The look the gargoyle got after smacking his a**(rather hard) was without words. Merely that he was going to leave. Now. Thankfully with a key. Oh dear goddesses...
And then he hurried out and slammed the door behind him. At least with a key in tow.

"I'll take that one then," Olivia nodded. For going up together, they sure were doing things apart. But, she still made her way to the door. Her's was rather neat with the little lights.
And then she was blinded for a moment, spots filling her vision and applause her ears. It was lazy, and confusing and she looked up - when her eyes cleared up - to see she was standing on a stage and the clapping belonged to a dozen or so gargoyles situated in audience style seating. Another's voiced boomed on a microphone.
"Aaaaaaand now! Our next act it the wonderful, fabulous, extremely entertaining..." he leaned over but she was stumped at what to say, "...uh....this guy!" He did something with his hands, spirit fingers from the looks of it while he exited the stage. Leaving her alone.
She was supposed to do something wasn't she. Olivia stared for a moment unsure as crickets seemed to come from no where. Did she have a talent? The girl searched her memories until something sparked from an unknown place. Well, there was something she could do, or at least really liked to.
The crowd watched as she left the stage for a moment, there was a little bit of a shuffle and an 'Ah!' before she returned. A little table, a notepad and some crayons is what she returned with (it was like they were waiting for her, how nice). Quickly, the girl got to work as the crowd began to talk amongst themselves. There was silence from her, no music to entertain them as she went to work, drawing those lines and coloring in the fields.
They were getting a little restless until she perked herself back up and with a big "Tada!" She turned her work to the audience.
Again, she was met with silence - which she didn't mind. The more to admire her amazing work after all. Olivia felt great. And after a few minutes, and some murmuring, they all broke out into loud enthusiastic cheers. The emcee returned on stage while confetti rained down upon her. A crown was placed on her head and a trophy was placed in her hands. Olivia smiled brightly, looking down at what she had won.
Oh hey, a key, she noticed. Along with the plaque You're Super Talented!
"Thank you," she said aloud. They couldn't hear her really, but she didn't mind. The girl gave them all a wave and then made her exit, happy and pleased with herself and ready to continue on with Molan.
"How'd you do?" She asked as she stepped out from the door, confetti and crown still in her hair.

Olivia REALLY should have brought her picture back with her. And shared it. She'd caught his unamused stare perfectly. Molan might have really appreciated it.Or just quietly laughed in amusement. Who knew? No one. Because she didn't bring it with.
He nodded as she walked out, holding up her own prize while he... was still staring at the confetti and odd crown. Right. "Ah... o-kay." He replied, still rubbing a bit at the sore spot where the gargoyle had smacked his butt as he held up his own key. "I passed... an odd lesson." Was that a lesson? Who knew, either way it seemed there had been much success. Onwards?
'I suppose we can take the final door together?" He inquired, smiling a bit.

"Odd?" She asked. At least he seemed all in one piece, as did herself. "I was on a stage," she told him before bringing out her notebook. "I drew this and it won me a prize." And you didn't think she brought it. But she was beaming because she was rather fond of it.
"But yes, lets." She nodded, still holding onto her drawing and reaching out for his hand once more.
This door was gold, a pretty color really, a color she had been sticking to during this whole ordeal. Perhaps she was a little attached.
What greeted the pair was fog at first, blocking their sight into the rest of the room. Only until a large gust caught them did they know what they would be dealing with.
"That looks like an angry bird..."

He merely nodded. "Yes." There was no intent to go into it. Though he listened as she went on about her endeavor. Huh. On stage and- he paused at the picture. Staring for a bit. Mostly at the expression on his face.
There was silence.
"Do... is that really how you see me?" He looked back to Olivia, perhaps a it hurt. Well, she liked him, but... did she really see him as such a negative and unhappy looking person? It hurt a bit to think that perhaps she thought that. If they were dating, he wanted to think she saw him in a good light... but then again, maybe she preferred that?
..there was more staring at her as she beamed happily, before he tilted his head, trying to smile a bit. If she didn't like how she saw him, he had to make an effort perhaps? "It's... nice." Yeeup, that was forced. And then he gave her a light pat on the head affectionately before they made their way for the last door. He did, at least, take her hand as they walked, letting her open the door as fog leeked out around them. Then the sound of wings and a gust that caused him to cover his eyes briefly before he looked, and saw it...
What a big bird. "Very." He stated in agreement, before he scythe appeared again and he swung at it, catching it lightly as he darted by.

We'll rewind a bit to the part where Olivia actually responded in context to his question, still holding the picture up with a happy look on her face. She blinked for a moment at his question, he seemed a little hurt. Did he not like it?
"You're a serious Molan," she told him innocently, "always have a level head. I like that about you." It kind of offset her, even though she didn't go that deeply into all of it. That's how she saw him, nothing in a negative light at all. Hopefully he would understand.
And fastforward back to the bird - bleep bloop. Gently setting down the picture on the ground out of harms way, Olivia rejoined Molan in their fight. It was an angry bird indeed, attacking them. It pecks a little at her but with it within reach, she landed a solid punch.

Rewind to the party where he and Olivia were talking. He paused at the comment, musing a bit. That was... acceptable. Being serious and level headed were fine. Though- "I do smile sometimes though, right?" He was almost kidding with that comment, though he hoped she noticed. Even if it was move rare. Still, that was all soon lost.
Because they were back at the part where he had to murder a bird. Who was swiping at his girlfriend, because she was. Right? At least he thought... either way... BIRD.
Which didn't go so well. All he managed to do while swiping at it was get to it back off before it actually hit him. Uhg.

Oh it was coming again. NO! It did NOT get to hit Olivia. OR him for that matter. Instead he quickly struck at it with the scythe, managing to slash it and take some feathers along with.
