Following him into the room, he stopped for a moment and looked around at the grand room. Pulling a annoyed face he stepped into the room and walked over to him. "Your house is ridiculous." He stated giving him a serious face as he leaned on the counter next to him. "Back home, the kitchens not even a third of this." He gestured to the room being careful not to knock anything over as he did so. It seemed people wanted bigger and bigger houses these days, it was ridiculous and it looked lonely having such a large a home. Giving a final glance around the room he turned to look at what he was getting curiously.

"I myself wanted a more modest home but my father objected and picked a home for me. Leaning back onto the counter Arinah peered over his shoulder curiously to look at the book. "I guess apperances are important though." He commented hopping up so he sat on the counter in a lazy manner. "But I don't think I'd like to meet him. He sounds...um bossy and, and...I don't know." He stated, shaking his head in disapointment leaning foward onto his hand as he waited for him to locate the recipe he wanted.

My father is controlling, way too powerful, stupid and a serious b*****d who likes to make others suffer. My father is worse than the devil himself and I am pleased to at least have as much freedom from him as I do." Cringing at his expression and tone of voice, Arinah quickly removed himself from where he was sitting and moved so he was standing next to him. "Ah- I...I'm sorry, I didn't mean to offend you." He appologised dipping his head as he did so in a embarresed fashion. "I have a big mouth." He added, feeling like he was rambling. "If it makes you feel better my mentor was also controlling, so I can understand how it feels." He explained.

Nodding Arinah let as small smile cover his face for a moment. "Thanks, I appreciate that." He replied feeling much better knowing that he didn't seem angry anymore. 'Well if he tries anything, I could always freeze his- ah that'll probably get me in trouble.' He thought returning to lean against the counter and glancing around the room for inspiration, his eyes finally falling on the recipee book with a excited grin on his face. "How about making that food?"

He reads a few things before beginning to removes the ingredients needed from their appropriate places. "The recipe calls for a package rotini pasta, vegetable oil, a crushed garlic clove, dried basil, some Italian seasoning, a diced onion, 2 red chile peppers that are seeded and chopped, a can of diced tomatoes, hot pepper sauce, salt and ground black pepper." he said as he gathered the ingredients. ㈇⊙㈇⊙㈇⊙㈇⊙㈇⊙㈇⊙㈇⊙㈇⊙㈇⊙㈇⊙㈇⊙㈇⊙㈇⊙㈇⊙㈇⊙㈇

"Is there anything I can do?" He asked attempting to stay out of his way as he grabbed the ingredients, feeling useless as he didn't know where anything was. Watching him for a moment he stepped over to the book and glanced over the recipee, promptly deciding that it looked nice.((This is making me hungry....))

He looks at the book again, reading the preparation instructions for the meal. "It says to bring a large pot of lightly salted water to a boil and to cook the pasta in boiling water for 8 to 10 minutes, then drain. So did you want to do that?" ㈇⊙㈇⊙㈇⊙㈇⊙㈇⊙㈇⊙㈇⊙㈇⊙㈇⊙㈇⊙㈇⊙㈇⊙㈇⊙㈇⊙㈇⊙㈇

"Okay." He agreed glancing around the room in search of the pans; once he had located them he quickly grabbed one, filling it with water and salt before setting it down on the hob. "So this is how you make it." He mused quietly to himself leaning over the pan to stare curiously at the water as it started to boil slightly, he jumped back quickly when steam started rising, holding his forehead in suprise. "Wierd." He stated turning his gaze back to Rafael. "How long will it take?" He questioned nodding to the recipee book.

Pollution such as heavy steam or smoke full of toxins were hazardous for an Earth elemental who was just as sensitive to such things as the Earth. Even something as small as salt in boiling water evaporating into the air would make him ill if he breathed it in. "It says to cook the pasta for 8 to 10 minutes." ㈇⊙㈇⊙㈇⊙㈇⊙㈇⊙㈇⊙㈇⊙㈇⊙㈇⊙㈇⊙㈇⊙㈇⊙㈇⊙㈇⊙㈇⊙㈇

Nodding at his answer he added the pasta after noticing the water had started boiling before turning back and giving him a curious look before shrugging it off. "Okay, but I meant overall, like how long for it to be ready?" He questioned, mixing the contents of the pan. Leaning back over the pan he continued watching the steam curiously; water was so pretty no matter what form it was in. "Do you always have to wear that? Like whenever your cookin, must be annoying." He questioned absentmindly flicking at the steam.

"Thats good then." He replied mixing the pasta for a moment as he glanced over at the clock. "Would I melt if I stuck my hand in the water." He mused curiously, he certainly thought he would with how hot it was but it seemed very unlikely, especially with how he could freeze water at touch. Deciding that he probably wouldn't melt from the hot water he settled for watching the steam rise with mild curiosity as it rose.
