There was a castle in the distance, and Mimsy had a feeling that was where she needed to be. It mingled pleasantly with the feeling that someone was waiting for her there...and she hoped it was who she was thinking of.
But she said she would try talking to the alpaca, and to do that, she thought it probably needed a name.
"Perseid," she mumbled, though she wasn't really sure why the name sounded familiar. Had she used it recently? "Persy for short. That's cute, right?"
The alpaca said nothing, because of course it didn't. This would be more difficult than she'd previously assumed.

Persy must have liked having conversations, because he was the one to startle her back to awareness, tossing his head back to poke her on the nose with his nose. It was awkward, but effective.
"Oh! Sorry. I still haven't quite figured out what I was thinking of...but that's okay." It was a bit odd that trying to determine feelings led her down a road of numbers and equations. It didn't make any sense.
"How would anyone even begin to solve a relationship with an equation?" she asked Persy, laughing.

Oh, bandages! Mimsy tugged on Persy's reins and looked down at them curiously.
"I suppose we don't have room, do we?" she asked. Persy gave her a look again.

All of the conversations they'd been having must have improved Persy's mood; he walked with his head held higher, and even looked happily back towards Mimsy now and then.
"I'm sure we will be there soon," she assured him, petting his head.
