She was so tired, she could feel herself slipping then and there as she lay next to sweet Cotton - she still loved him even though he had bucked her off (she might still be more alive if he hadn't). Her mouth was still moving, fixated on a name... as if willing him to come.
And he did, by such random chance that ... someone must have been looking out for her. "Molan," she whispered, there were tears in her eyes... she wondered why she couldn't cry. But he was here, and so she was smiling. "You found me..."
"Bandits.... are mean...."

He let out a sigh of relief as she spoke up, even as messed up as she was she was at least, well alive. "Yes." He stated simply, lightly patting her on the head. She looked rather upset about the whole endeavor. Shaken up really, but she'd survive. He glanced over at the horse behind him, who was still staring unimpressed at him before cocking his head over. An easy sign to understand.
Get. Over. Here.
A snort and the horse plodded over, tail flicking as he halted. Then a quick shift to snag a few bandages that he still had to hopefully patch the girl up a bit as she mumbled something about bandits. "The ones that steal bandages?" He'd met an awful lot of those. Not exactly the ones she spoke up, but at least at that point she was getting a bit of a patching up. "Hold still, how many rocks did you fall over chasing them?"
Yep. He didn't get it. "It'll be fine though." Was he really... noe that couldn't be it right. He glanced off a bit, staring at a rock as he worked to wrap up one of her rather scratched up arms.

Olivia didn't look up to see what he was doing, her eyes lulled over slightly staring at the fluffy fur of Cotton who was still patiently sitting by the pair of them. He didn't make a noise or even startle when the horse came closer; perhaps he felt bad for what he did. Hopefully.
She felt the bandages though and the gentle pat of her head (that sentiment....), relief already coming to her from his simple act of kindess; but he always seemed kind in those memories she found, except that one where she had been mad. "I didn't get to chase them," she pouted, "they.. just attacked me..." At least they didn't steal anything this time.

He'd gotten a bit of the work done, only glancing over to double check that he had things right every so often. Then back to that lovely rock. He'd done this before hadn't he? Such a bad habit, avoiding eye contact when a bit embarrassed. Work on that. He definitely should work on that. He paused as she spoke again, staring at her. "They attacked you?" He'd apparently been lucky and only run into the ever dangerous 'bandage bandits.' But rather, they'd gone and picked on her?
...what did that say about him then? Huzzah. He was apparently big and scary. Unlike tiny little girls with curls. "That was cruel." He stated, thinking for a moment before giving her a light hug. " But it's fine, they're gone now." He managed to patch up a few more of the more problematic wounds before pausing and rubbing at the side of his head. He couldn't get every scratch, but she'd be able to stand? "A bit better?" He couldn't take care of her on the trip, it was clear it was a journey to take alone, but he could at least try to prepare her as much as possible before sending her off.
And she'd have that useless alpaca to take care of her? "If they appear again, run perhaps? Cotton is fast enough, right?" It probably wasn't the best advice, but he hoped...?

All Olivia could was nod a little as Molan continued to bandage some of the more problem areas that the bandits had done a number on. It wasn't all, but it was enough to make her feel better. And she really appreciated it, "thank you," she whispered and hoped that he knew how much was behind those words.
Standing was a little wobbly at first, but she managed and remained steady with the help of Cotton (whether her liked it or not). "Better," she replied. And then did something that seemed a little uncharacteristic of her in some memories but right in others, she leaned against him and hugged. "Thank you," she said again.
"I'll try to run next time," a promise she wasn't sure she could keep. There was something about a fight... and throwing herself at it. But maybe Cotton could get away well enough, he had his moments of extreme energy.

Perhaps at times, things did feel hopeless. It was hard to say. He knew a bit of it, but at least she seemed to be recovering from that rather sad state she'd been. No more looking like she wanted to burst out sobbing at least. "You're welcome." It was a calm, reassuring tone. No pride or boasting to it. Merely comforting as he finished up. After all, she wasn't in a state to need a chiding voice. There were times it had it's place, and times it didn't. After nearly dying? No one needed to hear of their faults.
He stood himself as she moved to get up, watching to make sure she didn't fall. Maybe he should have offered a hand, but she had to be able to move on her own now. ...well mostly. There was a look to Cotton who just looked to be handling it because he had to. And then after Olivia was up a rather odd surprise happened, sort of. Though one that only added to the confusion since the completion of his journey. A hug, simple enough as she thanked him for his actions, but...
So perhaps... perhaps that was why he had recalled her, why she seemed overly fond of him? Was that really the nature of their relationship, why he had... kissed her on the forehead? He paused, fairly frozen at the simple act, not entirely sure how to react. He... he never did those sorts of things, he avoided people. So to be that fond of them, and not hate the hug... that ... had to be the case? This... was very confusing. Very... very... "Ah... I... yes." Not a proper answer, but one she at least seemed to accept as she let him go, seeming to prepare to leave. A few words of her will to try and avoid harm next time.
He was left a bit speechless still, merely lifting a hand to wave her off, an owlish look on his face. What... had he forgotten? Would he forget something important like that? But... if that was so, and she seemed to recall, why didn't she say anything. "Ah... Hey. Olivia." He paused, glancing off again, rubbing at the back of his head briefly. "There's something I'd like to discuss after you've completed your journey." Right, he did want to know, but distractions would have to wait. This was important for her, right? "Come to the first grove later?" With that he nodded, carefully moving to catch his horses reigns. "I'll wait there, so come later." He then waved again. Waiting for her to go. He wouldn't say another word. It could wait. He'd... have time to sort things out this way.
There seemed to be a tenseness in him when she hugged him and he didn't return the gesture. That same confusion riddled in him seemed to travel through her over the lack of action; sparking more of the memory to fall into place. This had been him, yes? That's why he was familiar with that tender, assuring and gentle like a brother kissing the forehead that he had initiated. Perhaps he didn't remember it. A shame, it had been a lovely memory now that it was fully recalled.
But she pulled away, not showing her disappointment as she leaned a little on Cotton. She stared at Molan in a similar fashion of him to her, ready to say another farewell for the time being. "Discuss?" She repeated. "Okay..." she agreed with a wave to send him off.
Now it was going to make her wonder what about the whole trip. She frowned for a moment, carefully getting herself back onto Cotton and away again.
But before she could press on, there seemed to be a weird smell lingering from the supplies that Cotton was carrying along with her. Olivia carefully twisted her body, as to not upset bruises and found that some of her supplies had gone rotten. Perhaps as she too was almost wasting away. A shame, she thought to herself as she pulled a big chunk of it out and just hefted it onto the ground below.
