Aidan Fydar

The Dark Tide Sorcerer

◥◣◥◣◥◣◥◣◥◣◥◣◥◣◥◣◥◣◥◣◥◣◥◣◥◣◥◣◥◣◥◣◥◣◥◣◥◣◥◣◥◣◥◣

Aidan walked over to the group he had been assigned. A draconian and a nymph. Not bad, but he was hoping for a stronger trio than what he was involved with. He brushed the thoughts off his head and decided to work with what he had. He stood next to the nymph as he heard the draconian lay out her plan. he caught a glance at her eyes and could see fire burning in them. He was definitely gonna get along better with the nymph. He sighed and looked over at the nymph and then back at the draconian.

"Allow me to interrupt, Isadora?" he asked as he raised an eyebrow. "Before splitting us up, wouldn't you think it is more logical to hide the item we got first. I mean I would think is the best. What do you think?" he said as he looked over at the nymph. Waiting for her replay he turned to Isadora and gave her a small smirk. He had heard of the power of the draconians, hopefully he could see it in action.

☩ Akasha, Master of
Destruction

☣☣ Champion of Malandaia ☣☣

User ImageUser Image

Akasha listened with the leader giving her directions, respecting everything she said. Lightbringer was always someone that all of Malandaia respected, her leadership being as bright as her name. Though she was not addressed to directly, she knew her place. She was to follow close to her demon-kin, Ian. Ian was physically a much stronger demon, but the two of them had long been fighting together to get into the games. Ian had made his way into the leadership role, which was fitting for him. He was easily one of the most powerful, and his mind was keen as any other.

As Ian asked asked what their next move should be, and it was true that their cover was very low, but Akasha had a plan for that. She slowly moved up behind Ian, running her hand gently up his back until it reached his neck. She moved her hand away as she stood beside him and said, "Oh Ian, do not worry of their vision. I have plans for their vision. Allow me my dear." Akasha stepped up and her eyes glowing red as she began to conjure a bit of magic into her hands creating a large fog of darkness. Magic had so many implications, and being a demon, her connection with the dark magic of her kind gave her many advantages. She pushed the darkness out into the plains, its deep blooms rolling upon the ground, covering everything in a one mile radius in a deep fog. Akasha turned to Ian, her glowing red eye glowing in the fog looking up at him. She reached her hand up to Ian's face, stroking it gently giving him a large grin.

She tilted her head and said, "Is this acceptable for us? We can still follow Roc through the fog, letting her keen senses keep us from harm. It is much better to take preventative measures rather than rush into combat." Akasha let her nails lightly drag against Ian's face as she walked past him, observing everyone else who was with them. Kale, the beautiful Roc who's senses were incredibly keen and was a master with illusions. There was also Cill, a knight who's strength and endurance had proven incredibly worthy of notice. Akasha knelt down, her eye scanning out into the distance, although her vision was somewhat impaired by her fog, she had learned how to see the movement within it, watching for any signs of abnormal wind flow which would be the key sign of enemies. She looked up to Ian, giving him a small smile and said, "When ever you are ready, we can take action. Just say the word and we can move out." Akasha drew one of her blades, deciding she would keep one hand free just in case she would need a more powerful incantation than the fog.

thebandit Isadora snapped her gaze to Aiden. He obviously had not been paying attention to their leader when he spoke. Narrowing her eyes she spoke slowly as it was clear he had trouble listening, "We split up, each with an item, to hide them. None of us are supposed to know where all three items are, we have to split up, there's no choice in the matter." She quirked an eyebrow at him with a frown. They were wasting time blabbering about this. The red head was already starting to wish she had been paired with stronger individuals, although the Nymph may prove to be an asset if they were injured.

Perhaps the sorcerer had drunk too much last night or was sleep deprived? Regardless, she needed him to rise to the occasion. Staring at him she added, "Is that all?" She was giving him the benefit of the doubt. Isadora had a suspicion that he was just trying to be snarky and get a rise out of her. Her expression hardened as she waited to see if there were anymore questions. The faster they got to the items, the faster they could hide them and then assist the other teams.

Aidan lifted his hands and shrugged his shoulders still smirking. So what they said about the draconian's temper was no lie. It all just takes a spark to unleash destructive fire, and the was no time to put up with that right now. Aiden looked over at the nymph for some support, but she was quiet. Why did he need to be put with women. Aiden look back at Isadora and sighed.

"Well then. Lead the way," he stepped aside and stretched out his arm towards a path leading into the forest. Aiden just looked over at Isadora and couldn't help but smirk. Looks like his change of attitude wasn't working. Nothing bad with going back to his cold self. All that time thinking last night was a waste.

Sigmund pouted as he made his way to the gate his shoulders dropping a bit showing his dissatisfaction of his early departure from the ballroom. He was hoping he could have spent some more time talking to the wonderful light demon that seemed so willing to talk to him, but of course he had to go because of the stupid games. I mean why couldn’t they have waited just a little bit longer for him to finish his experiment. Sigmund stared off into the abyss that stood in front of him, his thoughts carrying off to an unknown land of his own imagination. And as he dreamed of the possibilities of what he might learn from the beings back in the ballroom, his leader babbled on about the plans.

After a while Sigmund pulled himself back to reality to notice a couple groups beginning to walk in different directions and with some quick observations he deducted that he was probably apart of the smallest of the group, which at the moment was heading east. Sigmund looked at the items on his belt making sure that he had the correct three potions he wanted, which were his strength, speed and flash bang potions. He then slapped his side pressing his small knife against his side. “sucks that I couldn’t have made all of my potions beforehand.”

He then trotted over to his group and stared at the figure that waited in front of him. He sighed as he looked the character in front of him up and down ” well you aren’t much to look at nor are you very intriguing, but o well It is what it is I guess. By the way I missed what was said over there mind explaining for a second?”

═━┈┈━═ Adapt or perish, now more than ever, is nature's inevitable imperative. ═━┈┈━═

Memori watched as her group slowly arrived, a few coming to stand by her as they waited for their leader. She watched as some of them examined their things, and a few seemed all to eager to head out. The elf that had come by her as well as the nymph received a warm smile as they approached but Memori stayed silent. Her eyes focused not on the portal as many of her teammates seemed to be. No her eyes were focused on the land behind them. The forest leading up into the mountains in the back. It was beautiful, a great work of the Goddess.

Finally it seemed their leader arrived, all great minds seem to have a time clock of their own. Memori didn't care as long as they didn't suffer for it. She listened to his plans about retrieving the items agreeing completely. As she heard who she was teamed up with her gaze naturally turned to each in turn. Kiri, and Bryn both looked capable, and neither appeared like they would slow her down in this game. Smiling warming at them she was pleased with her grouping.

Memori slowly started thinking of their task, knowing that the Key was the item said to be in team 3's possession. Team three was located north or their territory, it wouldn't be too hard to navigate as long as they stayed north. She wondered how to phrase it but sighing she spoke up, "We will be able to communicate through these guys here." she said motioning around them. A few animals had gathered around the team, hearing the beckoning she released on the owl. "I'll attempt to keep someone nearby you so you can relay any updates or questions to Sigfreig if necessary. Also available if you need to change things on the battle field sir." she said nodding to the Team Leader. Chuckling slightly then quieting seriously, "Just try not to eat them... they tend to not want to help after that...." she said somberly as she returned back to where Kiri was.

Oh, and here we go with uneven ground before we even took a step, Asiri thought when her companions had suggested different ideas. She was no peacemaker, but a group this small couldn't have arguments, especially this early into the games. "There's the possibility of an ambush upon us. And with all three items together, we could be the losing team," she says with a shrug, agreeing with the Draconian. She wasn't sure the mage or draconian heard her, but her opinion was expressed.

"My only question is: what do we do once we've hidden the item? Rendezvous somewhere? Find others and aid?"

As a healer, she felt it was logical to help others as aid; their duties to find and hide the items were done and unneeded anymore. But maybe the draconian has other plans? With her hands behind her back like a child, Asiri tilts her head slightly with anticipation for a reply from her companion.

She had prepared for battle in the attire that suited her best, a breastplate that encompassed her chest and some beautiful greaves to match. As she walked, she blended with the light, disappearing like a shadow in the darkness as she made her way to the rest of the group. Where she seemed to glow in her own right, she really seemed to shine completely decked out in armor. Most women that she had seen at the ball didn’t strike her as those who would wear half plate, but it was what she found to be the most protective and the most practical. She wasn’t a woman of stealth per se, even if she could hide in the light. Azrael was a woman of practicality, and hiding in plain daylight was just another one of her many talents. Alongside of giant spears of righteous light. That kind of helped.

Her mind was focused as she stood with her team mates, deep in the midst of a prayer to her God. I pray that your power envelop me, Lord of Light. I pray that wickedness be banished, seared by your holy light and destroyed beyond measure. I pray that the souls of those damned against your will perish, and that our enemies today are no match for our skill. I pray for our team mate’s success…but most of all, I pray, with my entire soul, that I prove to you how worthy I am of your gift. I will conquer. I will destroy, I will not fail you. I can’t fail you. Believe in me, as the countless lives that I have taken, as the path I have carved myself, that I will succeed today, that I will succeed tomorrow, and that I will not fail you. I am ambition, I am success, and I will not tolerate my own failure. I promise you.

This God of ambition, of extermination, of light…would he hear her words and trust her with the task? Would she make the queen proud and thus find herself a place to belong? Only time would tell. She awaited her leader with baited breath. Azrael stood proudly among the shadowed creatures of her team, not bothering to make eye contact with any of them unless she was spoken to. She had a suspicious feeling that her team mates, as her elven kingdom before her, did not take well to a being blessed by a God of light or ambition. She was accustomed to being alone, even among others. So, she stood vigilant, awaiting orders.

              CHRONA HOROS

TIME LORD tab tab IMMORTAL tab tab HUMAN tab tab TEAM TWO
          tab

A lazy looking figure was waltzing toward team two’s gate, yawning as she went. The figure was completely covered in oversized black robes, so long and twisted they looked as though she would trip on them if she wasn’t so sure-footed…though strangely, they seemed to fade into tatters that faded into the air around her. She walked with a scythe larger than she that had a clock attached to its fulcrum, one that constantly seemed to be changing times as she made her way toward the rest of the group just in time to hear the announcement from their leader. Attached to her neck was an hourglass, constantly draining sand into its lower chamber but never actually changing the level of sand in either chamber. Stranger yet, this figure was only about 4’10” and looked to be about the age of a 16 year old girl. Still, she had an air of a lazy older woman about her, even for her apparent age. It was a strange contradiction.

She listened to the leader’s instructions, and, not surprisingly, her name was neglected directly. Perhaps the leader didn’t even really know who she was…after all, she’d entered a bit late on the roster, and won one of the straggling contests in Malandaia, so it was no surprise really, especially given her…lack of motivation. Still…she wasn’t about to avoid the competition just because she was feeling lazy and no sense of patriotism at the moment; she wasn’t that heartless. There was something huge at stake, something she had to fight for.

She had no questions for the leader, and crept toward her side to follow her when she was ready. The Time Lord wasn’t keen-eyed, but she was good at erasing mistakes and manipulating time, as well as minor time travel when the circumstance called for it. Good abilities, but not good for finding what they were looking for. She gave an audible sigh and leaned on her scythe lazily, awaiting further orders or any stupid questions someone would ask inevitably.

~- Kirisiaru 'Kiri' Hideran-~
- The white shade -

Team one: fighter

Like the harshly falling and piled snow, it's too bright...
Like a transient fading sound, I'm not crying...
I thought it was nothing, but the reality is very painful...

Kiri watched Memori's demonstrations with the animals in quiet awe before his attention turned to Asiri's question. He thought for a moment and said, "After hiding the items, I think we should try to find the opposing teams. If we can slow them down or incapacitate them, it will improve our chances. I'm not saying anyone should get careless, but anything we can do to interfere with them is helpful."

He said it as a suggestion toward everyone, but hearing Asiri voice the question was what made him think of the answer. And it was pretty sound advice, but said in a way that didn't sound like he was trying talk down to anyone in particular. He was suggesting to go more on the offensive once the items were tracked down, but to be careful about it. A sound strategy in and of itself, if a simple one.

... The message I want to convey is 'I loved you' -no, 'I love you.'
... It's difficult, it's painful, I'm lonely, it hurts, I want to cry.
... Before saying 'thank you,' let me say 'I'm sorry'.

Kairyn looked around with a cold gaze. She was displeased to say the least. There was no sign of their leader and she thought she was late.
Well, I have a plan in mind but I don’t know if the leader had something else in mind. Oh well. He should have been here.

The dracushan was watching her team from a shaded tree. She had climbed up there when no one was paying attention. She watched the introductions, the tension, the agitation. It was amusing and disappointing to her. This is what her team did in absence of leadership?
”Gods save us…” She muttered.

Kairyn jumped down from the tree and appeared to her team at last. She held her chin high and looked over them like they were beneath her.
”It seems that we are short a few members.” In reality, the team was short quite a few members and this added to her already rising foul mood. Of all things to not take seriously, this was not it. ”Anyway, we must proceed. I am your second in command and will be giving orders until your leader arrives. If you have a problem with it, save it.” She looked into each of their eyes, daring them to challenge her. ”Or his majesty will likely have your head for disobedience.”

She paced the ground in front of the gate. Thinking of how she wanted to split them up. There weren’t as many of them as she planned on so this would make things a little difficult. She needed a group to secure the items. That was most important. She would chose at least three of the team’s strongest for this. Then she wanted two other groups to go after the other teams as well as a fourth team to locate and arrange their base. She didn’t have enough for four groups.
”Blake, Enya, and Ferno. I want you three to go after the team’s items. The location of them is on your map. Then each of you will venture out and find a good place to hide the item. Do not tell your other teammates of its location. The fewer people who know about hteir location the better. In case one of you gets tortured for this information and your resolve falters, at least we’ll only be giving away one item’s location.”

”Dantes, Zero, Azreal, and I will be going into enemy territory to ambush either team one or two. Maybe we can find their items before they do.” She had a sly grin on her face as she thought of snatching the other team’s items before they had a good shot at hiding them. ”The rest of you will stay here and defend the territory. If you find any of the players from other teams, capture them immediately. Do not let them go. The fewer players the other teams have, the better advatage we have.”

Kairyn looked over her team and then further down the wall to see if any stragelers were on their way. It didn’t seem so.
”The leader may do as he will when he arrives.” She didn’t quite care what he wanted at the moment. Whatever scheeming or planning he had done has gone to waste. Kairyn wasn’t about to wait around any longer. Team three needed to get going or else the stone will be lost to them. Kairyn signaled for her group to follor her through the iron gates and into the forest.

The trees shaded the ground from sunlight. It only filtered through in certain areas leaving odd patches of dimly lit foilage and dirt. The forest was alive with sounds of creatures that she didn’t recognize. She hoped that they were all docile for now. She didn’t want to run into anything this early in the game but up ahead was a grey mass of something in the trees. She couldn’t make out what it was at this distance. She wasn’t sure that the other players could even see it at all yet. As she got closer, she noticed that there were a few beasts moving about the grey mass and the trees it was anchored to. They loked a bit like… spiders? Were there giant spiders in the forest? Kairyn narrowed her eyes to get a better look before proceeding. She held her hand up in a way that signaled her team to hush and be still.

Her vigilant stance broke when she was addressed directly. Her head shot up and she met eyes with the confident and intimidating woman ahead of her. She too, was a being of shadow, but the fact that she had welcomed her onto the team made it that much more invigorating of a battle. Her gold eyes were fierce when she gave a respectful nod to the second in command, saying nothing but continuing to pray silently to the benevolent God that had graced her with magnificent power. She took a step out from the shaded tree she stood beneath and reflected momentarily in the sunlight before disappearing almost completely, the near-silent footfalls from her armor barely betraying her position. Sooner than not, she was following the path of light in almost total silence, only soft clanks from her elven plate mail making any noise to show her location. She appeared momentarily in a shaded spot of a tree, her eyes targeting the spiders in the distance with intense focus.

”It will be a pleasure to work with you all. My name is Azrael Archaedes, and I am a warrior of light, blessed by Lucivius' hand. I do not hide in shadow, rather, lurk in the brightness of day. I hope to be of much help to you.” She bowed her head to her team mates respectfully for a moment, trying to earn her keep and respect.

She allowed herself to inhale deeply, bringing the breath to fill her lungs fully before taking an exhale. She would destroy these creatures if they stood in her way, though she wanted to see what her peers had to show. Her light spears were very noticeable. She would need to see the course of action before she blew the creatures to the realm of light to see what suited her team better. She was an obvious, aggressive fighter, one whose strength was beyond speed and agility. Although her physical strength did not match her God-given gifts, she was not a force to be reckoned. She stood into the light and disappeared once more, only a glint in the sun’s rays if one looked with a perceptive eye, awaiting the proper course of action.

The Blind General
Leader of Team Zeladis

Where I am: Edge of the Wastland (18 b)
Who I'm with: Abomination, Saria
How I'm feeling: Calm

Taking a deep breath, a smile spread across dark lips. He was late, something he hadn't planned on at all. Though, this was why he never made plans until he was actually on the battlefield. Making them ahead of time never worked because there were to many variables. Morpheus did not like variables, but he knew how to work with them when necessary. As he came up, he could see the people of his team. He was supposed to lead these beings? They seemed so...unworthy. His smile disappeared as he got closer. It seemed Kairyn had went ahead and made a plan. That was good, that took a lot of the work off his hands for now. For now he needed to work over the details of the land. From there, he would decide what he needed to do.

Walking through the gates, he watched second in command go forth with her own team. One of the things they would need to do would be to find the base. Once base was found, they would be better off. Looking toward the abomination and their necromancer, he gave a sigh. "Let's go. We're on defense for now. Anyone left here come with me." Without hesitation he started to walk off. After a second of thought, he stopped and turned to them. "I am Morpheus, I am your leader." With that he walked off. He knew the two had had seen would follow, the others...well, that was up to them. But if they really wanted to not get killed, they would listen. He would have to go through a bit of forest before he could get to the wasteland. There he wouldn't fear much...the earth was at his disposal.

Scanning his surroundings, he moved quietly. He tried staying toward the edge of the forest, enough to be hidden but well enough within reach of the vast wasteland. "Spread out and keep quiet." He told those following him. He turned to look at them. Most of them wouldn't even know that he could see. "Defend the area, find the base, and capture anyone you find from opposing teams." Raising a hand, the earth below him sent up crumbles of earth. They were find, like dust, which caused a midst to take over the area around him. It would make him and anyone else around him harder to see. He was sure other teams had most likely sent out scouts. The less they saw, the better for him and his team.

Turning to the necromancer, he pointed not far off and still within the midst. "Summon up some smaller beings. It will make a good trap for them to stumble upon." Unsuspecting enemies would stumble into the mist and find themselves surrounded by minions. It would slow them down, or even better, kill them. He knew a rule was not to kill, but it wasn't his problem nor hers if they couldn't defend themselves against whatever number of them she set in that spot. With a smile, Morpheus moved himself up into a tree. He wasn't to far away from second in command, but far enough for now that there was no chance of a conversation.

~Blake Lostvelle~

Before Blake could come up with any clever responses to Zero's voice, two more scents bring his attention elsewhere. The first one was a pure assault on his sinuses and the madness coming from him was palatable. it was one of the few times that Blake felt apprehension to approach someone. The next smell however was a pure delight to Blake's senses, pure magic intertwined with the sweet taste of femininity, set his Incubus blood alight.

Blake dared not blink before he approached Enya as he heard her name. such a little thing would taste as sweet, so he wanted to savor it a bit longer by not speaking it. Once Blake was close enough, he brought up his right hand and crossed his chest with it before he spoke, " i'm Blake and the pleasure is all mine." Blake could have done much more, but he could feel more eyes on him. As two more women approuched, their scents made him curse the self imposed rule about not magicing any of the women on the group.

Blake went up to Azrael and Kairyn doing the same greeting to each of the women that approuched, he hoped he would get a chance to romance each one in turn but he had to squach such thoughts for the moment as he got his marching orders. He had to find a single item and hide it. Simple enough though he hoped to go hunting for his first victim but orders were orders. As they entered the Forest, Blake took out one of his knifes, he palmed it so it would be slightly hidden.

Blake kept to the middle of the group mostly near the women. when Kairyn gave the signal to hush. blake took a slightly lower stance and advanced slightly to beside Kairyn so he could look at the creepers unobstructed. He then moved closer to her, and in the lowest voice possable, " if possable we should just skirt them."

Nation/Race: Second in Command of Malandaia/Demon
Where: (3, R)
With: With Kale, Akasha and Cill
OOC: Sorry, the post is a bit hurried :$

Ian studied Kale for a moment, she seemed a bit uneasy when he mentioned her race. Why? Ah! Now he remembered something he had heard about fallen Rocs. Since they were such divine creatures, falling to darkness was very rare. Kale probably had another 'form', just like those were-things he hated who could change into a beast at will. He grimaced at that. The Roc confirmed his thoughts when she mentioned bringing out 'her'. He figured, that would be her other self. He pondered about her question for a bit. There were so many useful things one could do with another more powerful form. The only thing he could do was sprout wings out of his back. Those only allowed him to fly, nothing else which was very special, no fireworks or anything like that. ''Hmmm.. I don't know how long the meditation takes or how long you can maintain that form, but maybe you should wait a little more. Just so that you still have an element of surprise.'' Ian mumbled, but hard enough for her to understand his words. He gave her a quick grin. ''Think that'll work? Besides, your senses are probably still better than ours. Aren't they?''

Then a shiver went down his spine when he felt a hand move up his back, as he didn't want to flinch, he gritted his teeth. He didn't need to think hard to know who this daring person was and sighed softly when she appeared before him. Akasha was a Demon just as strange as he was, with two sides. A kind one and one befitting of a Demoness. He'd often trained with her so he knew that she was a skilled fighter and good to have around. But above all, she was a person one could trust, as long as you were on her side. He watched her display her powers, the fog hovering over the grass was indeed enough to cover them, but he hoped the other teams wouldn't think of it as strange. He didn't want both team three and one to attack at once.

Ian returned her satisfied grin with a smile and patted the hand which was busy stroking his cheek.
''Yes, this'll do. I'm glad you're here Akasha, you're late though.'' He reprimanded her playfully and patted her head. He then looked at the fog, squinting his eyes, trying to determine how far they would be able to see ahead. He nodded and took out his twin daggers, the chain between them rattling with delight. ''Alright, let's go people!'' That was the first real order he'd given and his heart already sped up a little. He hadn't felt the thrill of the hunt since a long time ago, but he was ready, so ready. Ian had heard that there were also other creatures to worry about other than the participants of Ithus and Zeladis. He found that quite interesting and his curiousity had been piqued, what kind of things would they find? He doubted they would run into them on these plains, but he'd seen some trees in the distance. He grinned while slowly creeping forward into the fog.
