Never Again...Herald shook his head. "Not at all," he told her sincerely. "I'm just considering my options in how to proceed." He sat down next to Emma on the bed, resting his hand on his chin as he thought about the pros and cons of what could be done. Will I be bound in chains

Emma was about to ask what it was he was talking about but then remembered the Divine topic. "Oh, alright." she said with a nod as she glanced up towards the ceiling, trying to think of something at well.

Never Again...After several more moments of thinking, Herald looked over at Emma. "Would you be willing to go to Divine and pretend to serve him? To find out for yourself what it is he is doing and tell me?" He looked at her carefully, weighing her every movement. Will I be bound in chains

With that Emma looked over towards Herald "Are you serious?" she asked. "I think he knows I am working with all of you... and if he doesn't then that stupid kishin girl and Atticus sure do. I don't want to become puppet of his again." she told him. Her ears were pinned slightly as she recalled getting sent into the past and becoming his personal demon slave.

Never Again...Herald was about to argue with her when he stopped himself. He wouldn't admit it to himself but he didn't really want to send her on her own either. "I suppose you are right," he replied, pretending his decision had been made on logic alone. He could sympathize with the fact that she didn't want to be anyone's puppet or slave. That was one thing that resonated with him most of all. One of the few things where he could understand where someone else was coming from. He looked over at her, staring at her as he thought. Despite himself, he couldn't figure Emma out. Her actions still didn't make sense to him, neither did his reason for even caring. Will I be bound in chains

Emma relaxed slightly when Herald agreed with her. She was glad he wasn't going to make her go otherwise that would have been a large argument in the making. Then she noticed that he was staring at her now. "What?" she asked as she looked back up at him.

Never Again...Herald shook his head. "Nothing," he said quickly. "Just trying to figure out what to do next." He laid back on the bed, folding his arms behind his head as he looked at the red draping above him. He was proud of the work he had done; never having done anything like this before. Will I be bound in chains

Emma made a face "You really don't like talking much do you?" she asked as she watched him fall back onto the bed. She stared at him for a few more moments before falling back next to him. "So soft..." she muttered with a dreamy expression on her face as she enjoyed laying on the bed.

Never Again...Herald looked over at Emma as they lay on the bed. "I'm not much for small talk," he told her honestly. He looked back up at the drapes above them. "I'm glad you like the bed. I've never lived anywhere like this. I simply had to imagine what it would be like." He felt the softness of the bed with his own hands; he couldn't say it had been his dream to live this way. He honestly didn't mind the difficult conditions he was used to living in. But he wanted Emma to live someplace where she would be happy. For once, he had kept someone else in mind while he went about a plan. Will I be bound in chains

"I noticed." Emma answered "For now we should talk about other things besides that Divine guy's plan... he is an attention w***e so knowing him we will find out about his plans soon." she said with a laugh before hearing what he said about imagining his realm "Wow... you are pretty good then. It didn't have to be this fancy though." she told him with a grin before looking back up. She rubbed the back of her neck slightly as she seemed to be thinking about something.

Never Again...Herald actually laughed when he heard Emma talk about Divine. "That he is," he replied. "Is it...too fancy then?" He asked her, hiding his concern. He had hoped that he hadn't gone overboard. He looked over at her when she became quiet. "What are you thinking about?" He asked her curiously. She seemed distracted about something. Emma shook her head in response, still deep in thought until Herald asked her what she was thinking. She blinked and looked over at him "Oh! I just thought that this is pretty... ironic?... I think... Those bad events lead to me living in a large castle and having people I can call my friends now." she said as her expression quickly brightened and she smiled over at him. "Also... you should laugh and smile more... it makes you look like less of a grump." she told him with a smirk.

"I would prefer a lot of things over being back in that hell." Emma said as she went back to looking at the ceiling "If things keep getting better... then yes. It was worth it." she answered. She couldn't help but laugh at what he said about his personality "What about if you want to get a girl to like you then?..." she asked. She went quiet as she quickly remembered what was supposed to happen in the future. Her face turned red again as her gaze quickly snapped back to the ceiling.
