Something must have been working thanks to the Alicorn's powers. Antony was fidgeting and moving around much more then before, so his physical feelings must have been coming back. She wondered how much pain he was in. As long as he wasn't passed out or going towards any lights... that was progress.
She was shocked to hear clear as day words come out of his mouth. Her only response was a chuckle of laughter. Perhaps it was the exhaustion of everything that had happened that stemmed that reaction, but it seemed her one and only was coming back to his normal self.
She looked at the Alicorn, who was hard at work. "Thank you, sir." She first said, "What do you think? Should he stand and attempt to walk?" She wondered if she and Corsant would be able to support him on their journey home.
She then herself diverted her attention to where Corsant had gone. She saw him in the distance and felt relieved again that he was still fine and walking fine as well. They all needed to return to their own home base and rest and get over the physical and mental damage of everything... "If it is time to stand up, I can help you, dear." He must have been tired of lying on the ground now that he felt better.

Wyeth had closed his eyes and stopped his ears as much as possible during the healing process. He had always been proud of his healing heritage, though his skills were only a pale shadow of any pure unicorn, such as his mother. This had undoubtably been one of his hardest attempts, possibly his hardest yet. Almost all of his prior healing experiences had been related to the arena, but this had been practically life and death. It took all of his focus and a great deal of energy to pull it off, and even then he couldn't have said for sure whether he would be successful. But he heard the stallion's voice, faint but steady, and he allowed himself a smile. It wasn't a complete recovery, but the danger should be passed.
With great effort, he rose to his feet and exhaled strongly. Looking at the mare, he allowed the smile to widen slightly. It was still very reserved, but there was clear pleasure in his glance. “You are most welcome, Ma'am.” It was a somewhat incongruous scene, the bloody Kalona mare lying amidst the carnage of the battlefield, tenderly administering the comfort of an even bloodier Kalona-esque male. Yet there was no question that, incongruous as the pair appeared, they were every bit as devoted as any of his family. “It's really not a whole lot more than a patch job, I'm afraid, but there's nothing more I can do for him.” Indeed, it was taking most of his training to stand upright himself without shaking; he would need to rest up himself before he tried to head home. “He'll be fine, but he needs to rest. A great deal of rest,” he stressed, “is imperative for him to get his strength back. I would keep a close eye on him for the next several days, and only walk as far as you need to get away from this immediate area.” It was hard to ignore their surroundings, much as he might like to. It would be best for Antony to stay where he was for a time, but obviously there was no knowing who might come along. Scavengers could be the most dangerous parts of a combat.
~~~
He was sore and achy all over and parts of him were still feeling quite painful, but his focus was becoming clearer and the desire to curl up and die was now firmly passed. Indeed, he was feeling rather himself, albeit a tired and sore version of himself, and he was even able to be amused at the fact he was being discussed as though he wasn't even there. Honestly, he was sure he was fine to walk; not anything faster than that, but surely he could at least walk. Decent of the alicorn to have helped him out, as he had no doubt done. Ignoring the rest of the conversation, he raised his own voice in gratitude. “Thanks for the help, friend. I owe you a favor in the future, and you can collect if you ever need it. I'm Antony, and your name?”
Blinking, Wyeth glanced from the mare to the stallion, then nodded courteously in response to the introduction. “You're welcome, Antony, but you don't owe me anything. My name is Wyeth, and I'm happy to have been able to help.”
~~~
It was a relief for Corsant to realize that no one around him was familiar. He had moved with determination and as much speed as thoroughness allowed, and by now he was satisfied that Azelle was not among the fallen. Whether or not she had been here, she wasn't left here.
Allowing himself a small sigh of relief, he turned and glanced back in the direction of his parents. The alicorn was no longer kneeling at his father's side but was standing talking to them both. Corsant was too far away to hear what they were saying, but the alicorn appeared to be smiling! He hastened back in that direction, calling out ahead of him, “Well?”

To faint dramatically would have been really nice right now. Loveless knew its implications and that her mate, son and new pal Alicorn would certainly be distressed if she did something so silly. A part of her wanted to be dramatic again for a moment, but she supposed there was still time to wait and pass out when they were out of the destructive area. What a nightmare they had lived!
With a very large sigh, she nodded to Wyeth and realized she was foolish in the moment to not even ask the name of their savior. Everything was so fast paced yet she still felt bad for not displaying any manners. "Agreed, please let us know if we can ever thank you for all you have done for us." Someone was looking out for them as they had been so lucky...
She looked at Antony while allowing shreds of stress to fall from her body. She still felt some anxiety that there would be a road of recovery for all of them, but knew that was all to be expected. They would get through it somehow and find the normal they all loved and cherished.
At her son's question, she chuckled while facing him as he returned, still safe and standing. "Well is right." she let out with a snort. "Its time to go home, guys. I don't know about you all but I've had enough of this."

'I've had enough of this,' Loveless had said. At that moment, the sentiment was fitting to everyone present. With a nod of his head indicating just how weary he was feeling, Antony allowed his mate and son to help him to his feet. It had been a long day...
