"I'll have to keep that in mind, won't I? I'm sure I can make due," she said, unable to stop herself from laughing.
She wasn't exactly looking at him throughout her jesting but when Noah's tone changed to something more seriousness it brought her attention to him with a softer expression. It was always nice to be thanked for your good deeds even if you did it without a reward in mind.
"It was my pleasure."
She looked at him, her eyes sliding down from his face to his waist and then settling on his injury. She'd done her job. It was probably better for her to leave now than to wear out the little welcome here she had. Settled on that, she turned to the door before stopping in the doorway.
"Be sure to lock up after I am gone."

"Don't hurt yourself further," she said with more of a hope than anything else, her hand raising to him in a wave. "Bye now."
A simple goodbye and Nicole was gone, heading back to her motorcycle down the road.
