Wiki arrived to find the goddess replaced with a simple stone likeness. How strange. Still, he had fought valiantly to obtain a heart for the goddess, and he wasn't one to let his efforts go to waste.

So with careful deliberation, he placed his sacrifice on the pedistal of the gold of hubris. It was for the golden goddess herself, after all.

And so he went on his way, all the while with the odd sensation that he had forgotten something.

Igny stumbled into the great room, shellshocked and war-ridden. Her eyes held deep sags in her shadowy form, her heart glowing less than it had before.

No words were uttered as she hobbled towards the statues. The yellow goddesses words rang in her head as she read them on the plaque. They throbbed as she shuttered towards the other statues, lifelessly wondering which to place Medea's heart upon. It was a gift to the goddess. What gift could they possibly give her to replace this heart.

It seemed only suiting that she place it upon the bright white pedestal. Anguish. There was nothing but despair for those who were left behind.

Igny would move forward. She wouldn't leave Medea's sacrifice in vane. Igny determined that she would become the next goddess. For Medea.

Upon returning, still shaken up by the memories, he heaved a sigh, dropping the bag upon the dark black pedestal. As soon as he did so, the memories vanished just as the bag containing the heart did, and he was left with a feeling. A feeling of resentment. What had he ever done wrong? He did nothing to deserve this. So why? Why...

Despite her cheery personality, there was no question for Daaiji when she placed the bag on the black pedestal. There was something distasteful about having to leave behind her best friend. She would do anything to bring him here with her. She would tear the world upside down and over a thousand times if she had to. She would scream and rage and kill if she had to.

Lyzzi's eyes were still moist with tears as she made her way back to where the goddess was, only to find that there was only a statue there. She had completed the task, but she didn't feel happier or more complete. She didn't feel like she was at peace, and her mind was in a mess.

She walked to each empty pedestal, reading each plaque. Despair, vanity, resentment, consumption... After making a round, she paused, hesitating before walking over to the pedestal with a plaque that was glowing green. Gently, with shaking hands, she placed the bag down with a muttered apology.

It disappeared, leaving her with nothing but slight confusion and the sense that she had lost something.

Eyasa could only cry, at the absence of the goddess. She had been hoping for something-- Why hadn't the goddess told them that the heart-holders would be there.. That they would .. The event was too gruesome for the emale shadow to recall without fear.

Perhaps, it was best those memories disappeared.

Eyasa left her heart at the white plaque of anguish, her tears slowly drying until there was none left.

When Rojand realized the Goddess was gone again, a statue again, he breathed out slowly. Betrayal or mistake, it didn't matter. But he'd completed his task. He'd done what the Goddess asked of him. He'd brought back the Heart, and he thought maybe he'd killed his aunt for it, except that the Goddess had said she hadn't made it, she didn't need it, maybe she'd never really been alive at all.

The Task is complete, the plaque read. Sacrifice your offering to one of the Empty Titles.

He touched each platform, read each plaque, set the bag with its dead Heart on the black pedestal. Resentment. He'd been left behind, always left behind, always left out, the outsider, the one who didn't belong. He toyed with the idea, as the bag faded into nothing, that his heart could glow black instead of yellow, and found that maybe he didn't like the idea, but he didn't dislike it either.

The memories slipped out of his mind, peacefully, silently. He'd remembered something, but he couldn't remember exactly what any more. Maybe it was better that way.

Eir returned into the hall full of statues.
His mind was in disarray. He wanted to cry, but alas his face was still frozen in fear.
There was no 'Goddess' tinkering with things when he came back. Only a statue atop pedestal.

The pedestal reads:
The Task is complete. Sacrifice your offering to one of the Empty Titles to claim your position as a Candidate of that Title.

Offering...?
Her heart?

No. I should return this to her-

He turned to enter the door he came from, but there's nothing but wall.

He saw other shadow, face full of despair, running away from the Shrine. As he reached the door, both the bag and his expression vanished.
He exited as nothing happened.

So we won't be able to get anything out?

Candidate.
The word rings a bell on his mind.

The temptation from before again plays.

'If you became a Goddess...you may be able to bring her back.'

He looked on the four empty pedestals next to the statue.

Anguish.
Hubris.
Malevolence.
Affliction.

The choice was clear.

He walked to the WHITE pedestal and offered her heart; Elli's Heart, placing it with great care as it were his own, and witnessed it disappeared.

"If the Goddess of Ruin took all who is lonely under her wing---Then I'll become the Goddess of Anguish who shall wipe away the tears of sadness and replace them with the smile of happiness!!!"

But as soon as he finished the sentence, his memories of this task were wiped out.

Eir finds himself facing an empty pedestal. What are he doing here again? Didn't he come to meet with the Goddess?

Somehow, a tear trickled down his cheek. He didn't sure why...
But it seems he left something very important here.

Breuse stumbled in, wanting to ask the Goddess for answers.

But there was no Goddess, and thus no answers to the memories he had experienced, no explanation to who that girl was and where was she, and was that really her...

His heart felt hollow, as though his was the one he had yanked out rather than the one in the bag that hung limply from his hand. I don't want it to be her. He thought, staring blankly at the plaque of the Goddess that had made him go through this.

Sacrifice? Without even thinking too hard about it, he dropped his bag onto the white pedestal. After all, there was nothing but anguish when he realized he had to do what was right for his own survival, and a terribly selfish choice that had been--

Blink.

What? Breuse could only stare at the empty pedestals before him. W-what was he doing here? And why did his heart feel a little heavier than usual?

Everything is strange. He decided with a sigh, and turned to leave without a second thought.

Instead of seeing the Goddesses, all Rusekop saw were the pillars and the statue. Stepping up to the statue, she read the plague and nodded. So that was what she must do...

Still quite shaken from her ordeal, the shadow slowly walked over to the White Pedestal, Placing the heart onto it. Once she had done that, she found her memories where-

"OY!" She said, annoyed and angry that she had...done something...and now she had no idea why she was angry. But she was tired, so she made her way towards the shrine.

Yiro was finally back, more sullen and miserable than she had ever been. She stared long and hard at the goddess of paranoia's statue, silently wondering why all that had been necessary. The goddess didn't love her, did she? No, nobody did. She was damned to forever feel this void, because everyone that got close to her left eventually.

So it only made sense that the heart of her father was placed on the White Pedestal. And with his heart gone, so too did the memories of him disappear.

Yiro didn't know why she felt so bad, but the lingering misery of remembrance hung over her head as she left the shrine to aimlessly wander about the ruins once again.

The goddess had to have some answers to all this, right? She thought, striding furiously up to the shrine, intent on questioning the one who set her on this task.

"You've got to be kidding me." Mnezara spat out, as she noticed the still statue. She would have kicked it out of frustration if it hadn't been for the words, that told her to... sacrifice...?

With a huff, Mnezara dropped the bag onto the Black pedestal. She certainly resented this silly wild goose cha--

She found herself staring blankly at a pedestal, and being aware of a burning emotion cooling down in her chest. Well. This... was certainly quite strange...

The child stumbled crying back to the pedestal, but there was no goddess of paranoia there, with her wires and gadgets. But the plaque. The plaque had changed...

The little one choked out a sob, had it been worth it? He wiped tears from his eyes and stumbled over to the nearest plaque. Anguish. Despair. Was it worth killing the one who had loved and protected him? Was it worth stealing that heart? He had betrayed a trust, taken gentleness and love and repaid it with cruelty.

The child's wordless sobs became apologies in his mind as he set the bag and heart down on the white pedestal, and watched it as it disappeared. And as it vanished from view, the weight of his memories and sorrow lifted. He rubbed his eyes again, not quite sure why he had been crying. He hadn't known he was capable of tears...

Rydek returned, feeling rather disturbed by the encounter he had just gone through. It didn't feel good to do that to a friend. But.. it was a matter of survival. Shaking his head, he approached the goddess, but found that there was only a statue instead. The plaque changed, though.

He glanced between that and the bag he had in hand, then began to look at the remaining four.

He...

He didn't want any of these.

He dropped the bag on the ground and left.

Amati was quick to return, eager to get rid of her dangerous cargo, but found that the Goddess was no longer there. That frustration paled in comparison to what she had just left behind; a pinprick as opposed to the knife she had stuck in her sister's back. Only the statues were there, instructing her to offer up the heart to one of the empty titles.

She walked down the row, giving all of the titles due consideration. Anguish, Hubris, and Malevolence don't seem to fit, but Affliction...Huyana's heart rested in her hand because she wanted too much. Maybe if she had been content with what she already had, she wouldn't be here now. She offered up the heart to the green pedestal and suddenly it disappeared, taking the memories of a loved and loving sibling along with it.
