Axel grunted as they landed, and tried to use this opportunity to tie the cloth around Rill's mouth. He has to take his one hand off his mouth briefly to do it, and decides to try and yank Rill's glasses off at the same time to give him another disadvantage. He rocks a bit from the whack with the table leg, but does his best to try and grip Rill's back with his legs to keep himself steady while trying to tie the gag.

Axel tossed his glasses out of reach and once he's finished gagging Rill, reaches in a pack around his waist and pulls out some rope, chuckling. "As much as I'd love to ride this bucking bronco ride some more, I have stuff to pilfer before someone else crashes this party. I'm sure you understand." He does his best to grab bookworm's flailing arms and attempt to tie them behind his back.

"As much as I'd love to just hog tie you and let you watch me steal your goodies, I'm afraid you're causing just a bit too much trouble for my liking. Time for lights out, bookworm." He finishes tying him up and reaches for the table leg Rillian was whacking him with earlier, and tries to clobber him over the head with it.

Axel waited a moment to make sure he was out, before finally getting up and dusting himself off. "Now, where was I." He heads over to the bigger pack he brought along, and unrolls his sleeping bag, before eyeing the book. "Hmm, might work." He decides to make a quick sweep of the room for other worthwhile stuff to swipe, and even pauses to pick up Rill's glasses for a 'souvenir', sliding those into his pocket with a chuckle. Then he pauses, and glances over to the unconscious librarian and gets an absolutely wicked look on his face. "Hmm, nobody said I couldn't bring the bookworm back with the book..."

He proceeds to go over and drag Rill over to the open sleeping bag, and undoing the ropes tying him, flips him over. He slides him into the sleeping bag on his back, before grabbing the huge book he was sent to retrieve, grunting a little under its weight. Carefully he sets it atop Rill, and reties his hands, running more rope across so that he's "holding" the book's edges. Grinning, he zips up the pack happy that everything seems to fit well, and proceeds to stuff his other packs with any other valuables he can find.

"Now...how am I gonna get you outta here without people wonderin' why I'm draggin' my sleeping bag..."

Eyeing the room again, he spies a trunk, likely with bookworm or his priestly hubby's possessions, and a figurative light bulb appears over his head. "Bingo." A quick raid of its contents has him giggling a little as he tosses them about, pocketing a few other items as he goes, and finally emptying it, he lifts up his bag and its contents, huffing a little at the weight, and dumps them inside unceremoniously, before latching it closed. "There we go!"

Rolling the trunk over towards the tent flap, he stops long enough to grab one of the cinnamon rolls Rill had been kind enough to bring. He peeks outside, and seeing no one around, rolls his loot out, munching on the goodie. Thankfully it seems the camp activity is slowing down, and no one bothers the quiet hooded figure rolling it away.

Axel had made a good distance away from the outpost before bookworm woke up. He tried to ignore the thrashing but it was seriously impeding his ability to haul the trunk along behind him. Growling a little, he comes to a stop, and goes to unlatch the trunk. "Hey! Pipe down in there and settle down, wouldja?!" He unzips the sleeping bag enough to expose Rillian's head, and attempts to smack him into silence. He wanted to make good time back to the Warrior, and Rio, and didn't want to have to make any more unplanned stops for the sake of someone rockin' the boat.

Axel grinned as his captive went quiet and showed some proper submission. "That's more like it. Now stay quiet until we get where we're going! Or I won't be so nice next time." He harrumphs a bit and closes the trunk lid, latching it shut again, and going on his way.

After one of his rests stop though, he was seriously regretting not having knocked Rillian out or tying him up better... somehow while he was sleeping, the librarian had escaped the trunk... who knew these things had trick panels? Sounded more like a carnie disappearing act than anything. He had huffed a bit in annoyance, but consoled himself that he still had the book, and that blasted bookworm was probably blindly stumbling back to his camp, helpless and scared out of his mind.

He made a point to double-time it back to the Warrior's stronghold, eager to present her with the book and hopefully get Rio all healed up. He made it back in a total of just a few days, hoping Rio didn't have the effects of her temporary cure wear off as he hauled his prize into her temple to offer.
