A sick snap was heard in the air at the connection of Cyrus' shin to Salem's spine, forcing the rookie's eyes open wide as he gasped for air through a stifled scream. Legs kicking, Salem fell over to his side, struggling to prop himself up with an elbow.

Cyrus couldn't help but let a smile cross his face after the satisfaction from that kick. He circled around Salem, quickly deciding his next target. The Dream lifted his foot and would attempt to bring it down on his young opponent's head in a vicious stomp.

Salem felt his temples being crushed under the heavy heel of Cyrus' boot, fans cheering gratefully for "The Dream" turning up the aggression. His brain felt like it was rattling in his head, knocked loose by the veteran's stomp. Reaching up to hold his face and shield it, Salem struggled to move away from Leone on his propped-up elbow, working inch by inch towards the ropes.

Cyrus followed as Salem crawled towards the ropes. "Get up Salem! Put an end to my Dream! Give everyone here your two cents!" The Dream took a big step forward and viciously swung his boot again, looking to catch Croft in the ribs.

Salem was just reaching the corner when a stray kick threatened to splinter his ribs, knocking the rookie over so that he was sitting against the turnbuckles. One hand gripped his chest while the other reached up for the ropes, the "Most Wanted Man in Wrestling" struggling to support himself enough to get his feet back underneath him. Looking up at his former mentor with a grim expression, he slowly started trying to stand back up following the stalking assault by Cyrus.

The Dream stared down at his past student, there was no remorse in his eyes for Salem. The Charismatic Calamity deserved every bit of it. As Salem made it to his feet, Cyrus quickly lunged forward to grab him by the throat. The Dream looked to start by choking out Salem, something truly ruthless.

Salem was suffocating in the corner as Cyrus took hold of the rookie's windpipe just as he was starting to stand back up in the corner. Forced to take his hand off his stomach, Croft's face started turning red as he sputtered for breath, both hands gripping Leone's forearm in attempt to pull him off. With a sudden chop into the soft spot of Cyrus' elbow, Salem tried to break the hold before he was choked out, trying to follow the attempt with a kick to The Dream's gut, should he be successful.

The Dreams focus was on destroying Salem, choking him until he passed out. He hardly noticed as Salem struggled to get out of his grip. Suddenly Cyrus' grip was released when Salem's chop connected. The kick to the gut immediately followed, causing The Dream to hunch over, placing his hand to his stomach.

Salem's hand went to rub his throat as soon as he'd managed to release Cyrus' grip from his neck. Coughing a little, the rookie grabbed "The Dream" by his hair as he was hunched over, twisting and turning the veteran's head to look up at his snarling face.
"Tell me what it takes to make a dream come true...and I'll tell you why you can't stand the sight of me!" he growled, pulling the hand off his throat to snap upward into a European Uppercut - his signature move called the "One-Hitter Quitter"!

Though his face was contorted from the pain in his midsection, the man of dreams looked into Salem's eyes when his head was pulled back by his hair. The Dream's head snapped when Salem's bicep struck his jaw in the One-Hitter Quitter! Cyrus quickly stumbled back a few steps before crashing backwards into the mat.

Croft connected with his signature strike, sending Cyrus back to the mat in stunning fashion. But Croft was still recuperating from Leone's prior brutality, leaning back into the corner to catch his breath for a second. Not wanting to waste much more time, the M.W. Deuce looked to try and put the wounded warrior away, climbing up to the top turnbuckle in preparation for a sensational elbow drop!

Croft's strike was powerful, but it would not be able to keep The Dream down long enough for his intended top rope maneuver. As Salem began to climb the turnbuckle Cyrus pulled himself up onto his knees and took only a moment to shake off the cobwebs. When Salem was up top, The Dream suddenly pushed off his knees into a sprint at the Charismatic Calamity. Cyrus would go for a low blow and attempting to shove Salem off the turnbuckle, working quickly to hide the illegal move from the referee.

Croft went cross-eyed from the cheap shot taken at his crotch while he was on the top turnbuckle, causing the Charismatic Calamity to tumble down the back-end of the corner. Straight over the edge of the apron, the rookie would've been disqualified if he happened to hit the floor with both feet on the ground, but in his desperation the M.W. Deuce managed to get a mitt on the middle rope, barely suspending his heels off the ground. Though his lower body was failing him following the low blow, the freshman still had fight, frustratedly clawing to pull himself back up onto the apron by using the ropes for leverage.

Cyrus was actually relieved Salem was able to save himself from being disqualified. The Dream wasn't done with him, at least not yet. He stepped forward pulling his arm back and sending it forward, looking to send a heavy forearm into Salem's jaw as he pulled himself back onto the apron.

Salem was only just starting to get a hold on the ropes and heave himself up to his feet when Cyrus' clubbing fist rocked the rookie, head bouncing to the side as the world spun 'round him for a moment. Leaning against the middle rope, Croft continued to push himself up, trying to regain his composure while struggling to get back into the ring, trying to keep his guard up for any subsequent strikes brought upon him by his opponent.
