Bar time! There he went, to enjoy the sites and the places around him. He needed a drink after what he had just went through anyway. He looked around, the ocean illuminated by some odd light. It was nice to see, something he would take in for later values. He looked around, the sound of laughter filling his ears. A waiter walked away from a kid...Which Lysandre found very odd. What is a kid doing in a bar? Lysandre walking to the seat next to the small boy. "Aye...What you doing here?" Lysandre looking down to the small kitten. He was tapping at the table...Maybe nervous about something? He looked to an incoming waiter, who asked him what he wanted. He eyed them both, but Lysandre glared to the waiter. "Whatever he ordered. Make it quick!" Lysandre swirling his hand around as time seemed to distort. The waiter jumped a bit, nodding as he dashed away. "So then...What's your story?" Lysandre sitting back on his chair.
Rj looked up at the man, he was quite tall and slightly intimidating looking. He was obviously not from Aramil... as you could tell from his question " Ummm... my story? " Rj being the kitten that he was thought about the question for a little bit" Everyone has a story, I came in cause I was hungry and this place has some of the best food in Aramil. " He just nodded to himself and looked at the table, he wasn't sure how to answer the question so he just answered honestly " And my friends said that if I catch another fish that they are going to make me swim. " Rj looked back at the man and could hear a ticking coming from him, it was like a clock and loud to Rj. He started to groom his ears and looked at the man, he was an odd looking man... tall and skinny. He wondered if her was Mer cause his hair just seemed to roll from his head " Are you Mer? "
This one...was slow it seemed. He had to be a child, and sadly, Lysandre would now be entertaining him. "Yes...Your story. Why are you here? A kid. In a bar?" Lysandre still sitting back with a bored expression. The boy did know where to eat, for this was the best bar in all of Armanil...Aramil...Armani? it didn't matter to Lysandre. what it was called. "Your friends sound a bit...rough" Lysandre yawning as he looked to RJ's ears. "Don't they know that cats eat fish?" Lysandre yawning as the waiter put their soup in front of them. "Oh bring me something to drink. Your finest alcohol. And If I feel someone spit in my soup, I will reverse this place back to dust" Lysandre sipping some water the waiter brought to them. "Mer?" Lysandre looking up from his water. "Do...I have fins? Do I smell fishy?" Lysandre looking RJ up and down. "Are you a Mer?"
Rj looked at him as the made the demands on the man, he made him even more nervous and he continued to look at the table " I was always taught that if you come at people from a positive place you will receive that in return. " He looked at the man, the man was brash but Rj had no idea where the man came from and almost pitied the man " I have lived here for most of my life, the owner knows my guardian... so he doesn't mind. "
The man was forward in asking if he looked like a Mer " I just haven't seen a man with that long of hair before is all. No reason to get mad. "
Lysandre sipped his soup, looking up to Rj as he talked. "Your're a very...timid cat you know that?" Lysandre putting the soup down and taking a small drink. He wasn't wrong, the boy didn't really...Do anything. He kinda just pawed at stuff and said things. "It's good that you got a hook up though." Lysandre smirking as he sat back once again. "Whats your name kid?" Lysandre looking around the water. "You have to get a taste of reality, and the one you got now...Eh..." Lysandre looking back at the kid. "People...See they're like snowflakes. Different, one of a kind. You can react diffrently to all of them, and get different responses. Be kind to me, won't make someone just be kind to you." Lysandre sat back and waited for the kid to take that all in. "And just because hair is long, doesn't make you a mer" Lysandre looking to the water as he waited.
Rj looked at him and his comment about being a tame cat, it was the first time that someone called him a 'cat' rather then a 'kitten'. He smiled and nodded " I'm Rj. " It was the first time that he would tell someone his name that wasn't a Siren or a Mer, this guy might be alittle brash and brutally honest but; he was alright " Whats yours? " The waiter looked at Rj and smirked as he brought a bowl of milk, Rj looked at the waiter and rolled his eyes; it was the downside of having a Siren for a guardian and Mer for friends... this was a time to show that he wasn't going to joke around any more. He looked up at the man and felt his pupils swell until the color left his eyes
Rj: This wasn't what I ordered... Waiter: *Shaking* Ummm... Rj: Bring me something else... please Waiter: *turning red in the face trying to break Rj's hold* Rj: You can't break it... just bring me something else please.
Rj broke his hold and the waiter ran into the back of the restaurant, rj knew that his wasn't going to get anything from the waiter now he did that... but it felt good to finally stand up for himself.
Lysandre looked at Rj and thought for a moment. "That...stand for anything?" Lysandre fishing the name around in his head. No one was just named Rj. That had to stand for something. "Lysandre" Lysandre said as he thought about his actual name. How narcissistic his parents must of been to name him God. What Lysandre was about to see would impress Lysandre a bit. The cat was brought some milk...Which was a d**k move on the restaurants part. He was ready to blow it up, but the cat decided to take it into his own hands. It made sense, and when the moment was over, Lysandre sat back and smiled. "Nice work...Be more like that. Just because the world has Unicorns and Rainbows, doesn't mean the world acts like it does" Lysandre smiling as he sipped his soup.
Rj looked at him and looked around " I know that the world isn't the nicest place to live... but I would like to think that even in the worst people there is something there. " He finally got what he ordered and the waiter scooted away, Rj started to eat when he thought of something " What brought you here? " He took another sip of his soup, this was better then the other times that he had eaten this particular soup. It was the little things in life that Rj enjoyed, he was in decent company and eating " I was kinda raised here so I feel like I have seen everyone. "
This cat was super innocent...What are you? Twelve? Lysandre thought to himself as he watched the boy speak. The waiter returned with the food he wanted, a good thing for the moment. "I live here. I was born here...You?" Lysandre stretching as he finished off his soup, a loud Sluuurp sound. "But I guess you haven't seen me right? I haven't seen you either...So we kinda fit" Lysandre opening his pocket watch to check the time. "Do you ever do anything else....Rj? Missions or anything? You don't want to stay a rookie cat forever right?" Lysandre closing the watch and getting up, placing his money on the table. "Wouldn't you like to be...A little stronger?"
Rj looked at him and was confused " I dont really plan on being just a rookie forever, I'm going to be as strong as my guardian. " He thought about how strong they were and smiled, the prospect of the future excited him... but he was right; he would have to start doing stuff to make himself stronger " Is that where your headed? "
The door to the bar opened and two people shuffled inside. One of them was a giant of a man, a draconian named Kevan. He had a huge orange beard and a kind glint to his eyes, but his muscles offered another story. Kevan was laughing at some lost joke and clapped the second man heavily on the shoulder. The smaller man winced and rolled his shoulder before taking a seat at the bar. He looked almost human, but something was slightly off about his skin tone. This was Akeem Makal, captain of the guard, Djinn, and future King of Kevai. The draconian took a seat next to Akeem and ordered himself a heavy drink. "I'll just have a water." Akeem said weakly. His body was still sore from his last mission when he had taken a few bullets for a friend. There was a momentary silence as the drinks were passed out and each man took a long drink. "Another page down eh? Not bad for a band of misfits. Doral's gotten wind of an off shore facility. Might be promising." Akeem didn't say anything, and instead rested his head into his hand. Offshore. That didn't sound like an adventure Akeem would like to go on.
It was no news to any Aramilian that the sea witch Kaminae was currently making any bit of sea travel a suicide task. But West had entrusted the task of securing ancient pages in hopes of finding a way to bring about her downfall. He couldn't balk and cower when facing any challenge. "We'll have to check it out. But I need a replacement, Russel still hasn't recovered." There had been a big battle at an opera house not too long ago and a few people on Akeem's squad had gotten injured. He still had Kevan and Doral, Russel was out. A soft smile hit his face as he thought of Mina. Of course the elf would come along as well. A queer idea popped in Akeem's head. He was captain of the guard. Why the hell didn't he just recruit some of the soldiers to help him?
So the cat had left...Great. One more p***y in the world...Sad it's one I can't ********> Lysandre thought to himself as he watched the cat leave. HE could of stopped the cat, but that was the cats choice to leave. What was he to do? He flicked open his pocketwatch, time being sucked in as he sipped his soup. He loved the feeling, the feeling of lasting forever. It made him smile, so he made another shift in the void of space and time, taking in the time from the area. He could feel it, the time that would be his. He sat back, watching the area around him. It seemed someone else had walked in, and he looked normal. That was unfair to say, for Lysandre looked normal, but he knew far and wide that he was far from it. Oh well, he would just have to wait and see. It seemed the big one was accomponied by others, and these were different people. He knew none of them, nor did he want to know, but why not? Slowly, time swirling in his pocket watch, Lysandre walked over to the seated people. "Looking for loot and come to Drink?" Lysandre sitting across from the big one, looking at the others. "I got a lot of time on my hand. so why not let me go get...Whatever you're looking for" Lysandre smirking as he sipping his soup. If he kept refilling it, would he have to pay for it?

The look in Akeem's eyes immediately shouted no at the newcomer. This mission was far too dangerous for someone so fresh to accompany them. Particularly one in hopes of cheap entertainment. Kevan had looked at him from the corner of his eyes and winked before looking back at Lysandre. The big draconian lean forward and slapped his hand against the bar and laughed heartily. "He wants to run in and get it! Just like that!" It was obvious Kevan was making fun of the novice. Akeem didn't join in the laughter, merely sized up this boy who asked to hoin in. Kevan's laughter died out and suddenly turned serious. He leaned in and his voice was just over a whisper. "This ain't no game, kid. More experienced men have gotten their asses handed to them on trips like these. We seem to survive by sheer luck every time. I hope your lucky." Kevan said menacingly, leaning back a bit and puffing out his chest. A man is size, over seven feet tall, could cut an imposing figure on others. But on a whim Akeem held out a hand to stop him. It was clear the Djinn was the actual leader here. His dark hair covered eyes a deep red they could have been black at first glance. With a quick brush of his hand it was gone, and his gaze was fixated onto Lysandre. "Kevan is right, this isn't something you can 'run in and grab'. There will be perils and death around every corner." Akeem wasn't speaking to scare Lysandre like Kevan was, more in a tone of complete honesty. He had a knack for not putting on any theatrics all due to his rigorous and warlike upbringing. The Djinn was a soldier through and through. "What we seek is an end to the Sea Witch, Kaminae. There is a way to get the answer to her downfall, though that won't be your hand in this mission." Akeem had actually gotten shot a number of times on his last attempt at securing a page, and before that had broken a load of bones in his body. He was the one who put himself out there each time, depending on his team to have his back. That would be Lysandre's role. "My team follows orders. If you cannot, I will not have you putting my friends' lives in jeopardy. If you can, welcome aboard." Akeem said, offering his hand for Lysandre to shake. The captain of the guard would pause for another drink before getting right back into describing the task to Lysandre. "There is a research facility out in Great Ocean, close enough to shore that we can see it. Most of it is underwater. It has been closed down for years, or at least that is what officials say. We believe otherwise." There was no telling what exactly went down on at an off the grid experimental laboratory. They were sure to find horrors beyond imagination there. "We are to make it to the landing, enter the facility and shut it down for good." That sounded easy, but as it was in the ocean that could easily mean Kaminae could squash them on the smallest whim. They had to be careful and not draw too much attention towards them. Akeem and Kevan had finished their drinks now and were rising to a stand. "If you think you can handle all of this, meet me here." The Djinn produced a piece of paper and hastily jotted down directions to where they inteded to launch their ship from. WIthout another word he turned and left with his draconian companion.
Saleria had wandered herself to the Marine Bar, hearing sounds of competition in the area. She may be young, but she had her rights to get inside, soon noticing a poker table with a Mer beating people everytime. It seem she had a deal going on with the people and Saleria herself wanted in on the action as she walked on inside.
